Tom's Cove Park Reviews
Been comin here for years. A popular RV and tent camp. A litte cramped at times. Festival heaven
Apr 25, 2025 · Whistlepig's Big AdventureI’ve been coming here my entire life and I very much appreciate the atmosphere. It’s my biggest getaway place and I appreciate all the “toms” taking care of of us. This was one of my mom’s most favorite happy places, and since she passed last year, I really feel close to her every time I’m here. I can’t wait to get a place down here. I came down for the pony swim for the first time in 25 years last year. I had a very good experience.
Jun 22, 2024 · Mikayla HearneIf I could leave negative stars, I would. This place has turned into a complete dump. The "management" running it need to be taught management skills, they are seriously lacking in all areas, but I'll come back to that.We have been camping at Tom's Cove for over 25 years. Over the past 5 years it's really gone down-hill, but nothing like our visit this week. We paid our deposits in April, and requested 3 spots together. Once we arrived they put a spot in between our group, and upon questioning it the assistant manager completey snapped at me and said "this has been happening all day, there's someone coming in today who is staying for 3 weeks, we do the best we can." So I left it at that. Fast forward 3 days, the "someone" who was coming in, was still not there. So we had an empty spot between our group for the duration of our stay. The pool was closed all week long... (in the middle of JULY) The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. The grass wasn't cut. Trash was overflowing in every dumpster.I've never encountered such a disrespectful person in management. They need to be taught management skills, or perhaps find a new job where it's acceptable to speak with people the way we were spoke to.We will not be back, and I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere. The place is a dump, it's turned into quite a disgrace, which I feel is a direct reflection of the management team in place.DO NOT STAY HERE.
Jul 12, 2024 · Ava B.BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!!I wish you could leave a zero for this review because this is the worst place to camp. We have been coming to Toms Cove for over 30 years past experiences all great with wonderful memories. This year the worst stay we ever had anywhere.Reservations still cannot be made until you get there, unless you want to snail mail a deposit but that only saves you a site you pick what they have available when you check in.The store is over priced and also has gone down hill over the years very limited supplies and extremely over priced. The grounds are run down and haven't been updated in years,, everything gets dusty from the roads, the pot holes are ridiculous. The swimming pool is over crowed and to small for the amount of guest they pack into this place. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and they are small. The showers are also tiny and heavily used and are always disgusting. Just run down and outdated. After dark this place becomes a cruising ground for golf carts blaring music, kicking up more dirt cursing and drinking. So if your looking for peace and quite in the evening not the place for that either. To the wonderful lady who tries to clean the bathrooms everyday I hope they pay you well to clean up after all the nasty people who don't take care of others property. You are a kind and caring lady and you do a great job trying to keep those areas clean. Everytime we come across you always treated us kindly and we thank you for that. Now let's move on to the Assistant Manager Tiffany you need to loosen the nose ring and clean your self up if you are representing someone's business you are literally the trashiest person to have interaction with. Unprofessional, rude and think you are in some sort of power. You don't listen to your guest when they try to explain themselves. Your answer appears to be just kick out the other guest for any reason and give them an hour to pack up and go. You need to Google management skills for idiots its not hard. I hope the owners of this campground read this review because they need to be aware that this trash is running off your guest who have faithfully visited your campground for years.BEWARE ALL DO NOT STAY HERE.
Jul 07, 2024 · Jennifer SnyderPrices are a lot better than Sun Outdoors - reason we come here. Some suggestions for the campground - online reservations so you can pick campsites next to your family (you don't know your spots till you get there😩) and also so you don't have to send payment snail mail.Larger bathrooms. The stalls are so small that your knees hit the stall doors. So annoying!
