Based on feedback from actual campers, Triple L Campground provides a pleasant and convenient camping experience with some notable features that might appeal to those seeking a no-fuss getaway close to home.
The environment of Triple L Campground, as described by visitors, is characterized by its smaller size and pleasant atmosphere. Reviewers consistently use terms like "small" and "pleasant," suggesting a more intimate and potentially quieter camping setting compared to larger campgrounds. One of the standout environmental features is its direct adjacency to the State Trail system. This offers immediate and easy access for walking, biking, or other trail-related activities right from the campground. The trail's direct connection to downtown Salem adds a unique element, allowing campers to easily explore the local town without the need for extensive travel. While one reviewer mentions some highway noise due to its proximity to Route 50, they also note that the convenience of the location outweighs this minor drawback. The campground's setting alongside an old railroad line, now a trail, further enhances its natural appeal and provides a scenic backdrop for campers. The well-kept nature of the campground also contributes positively to the overall environment, suggesting that the grounds are maintained with care.
In terms of services, Triple L Campground offers a more basic set of amenities, focusing on essential conveniences rather than extensive recreational facilities. According to customer reviews, the campground provides laundry facilities, including two washers and two dryers, which is a significant benefit for longer stays or for those needing to freshen up during their trip. Additionally, there is a small pavilion with one picnic table, offering a covered space for dining or gathering. It's important to note that the reviews explicitly mention these as the *only* amenities, indicating that campers should not expect a wide range of additional services such as restrooms with showers, a camp store, or organized activities. The availability of laundry facilities, however, makes Triple L Campground a practical choice for travelers who value this convenience. While specific details about campsite hookups (water, electricity, sewer) are not mentioned in the provided reviews, the fact that it is described as a "campground" suggests that at least some level of basic services for camping, such as individual campsites, is available. The presence of laundry facilities, while limited to two washers and dryers, adds a practical convenience that is often valued by campers, especially those on longer trips. The fair pricing, mentioned by one reviewer, suggests that Triple L Campground offers good value for the services and location it provides. Despite the temporary inconvenience caused by long-term bridge construction affecting easy access to Route 50, the underlying convenience of its location near Salem and the highway remains a significant feature for many travelers. Triple L Campground Reviews
Small. Pleasant. Well kept. No drama, during stay. Owner is extremely nice and friendly. I love that it's parallel to the State Trail system. It goes right into downtown Salem. Laundry 2 washers/dryers and one picnic table under a small pavilion are the only amenities. Normally there's Easy access to Rte 50. Unfortunately long term bridge construction makes it a bit more inconvenient. Some hwy noise but I over look that because of the convenience of location.

Aug 14, 2023 · Selina StevensThis is a nice campground for work or staying overnight... it does have a washateria and Wi-Fi, the owners are very nice and helpful they keep the place mowed and very clean. Good gravel lots for your camper and pretty green grass around the campgrounds.
Jun 08, 2018 · Renee EzellEric (the owner) was super helpful & very personable. Sites are FHU gravel but level, with plenty of space between to park. We didn't have opportunity to use the laundry facilities but they were very clean. The entire grounds were well kept & Eric was around regularly to check on things & answer any questions. The location is right off rt.50, with easy access into Clarksburg/Bridgeport, etc. We definitely recommend Triple L & look forward to returning on our next trip through the area. Thanks so much, Eric for your genuine WV hospitality!
Oct 10, 2022 · Dani StricklandStayed here a week and a half while working in the area. Wonderful campground! Quiet and respectful neighbors, very clean and well kept RV park. Eric is so friendly and very responsive to all communication! The breaker at the post on our site was going bad around 10 pm one night and he was there to fix within 15 minutes. Appreciate the clean and inexpensive laundry as well! We will always stay here when we’re in the area.
