Tunnel Mill Reservation Reviews
Fantastic camp with great historical facts both in scouting and history in the state and county.
Sep 15, 2018 · Frank McPhillipsOpened in 1928, Tunnel Mill has always been a great place for young Cub & Boy Scouts to learn more about the outdoors and themselves. The venue is the perfect setting for being close to nature without being too far from town if any odd needs arise on your Scout outing. It helps provide an old-fashioned homey feeling while also still allowing the solitude of nature. The property also has a rich history in the community, hosting one of the state's most splendid historical sites: the John Works House and old mill wheel. The camping and leadership programs offered here have a profound impact on their participants. Like generations of Scouts before me, I can confidently say that my times at Tunnel Mill are some of the most important times of my life.
Feb 18, 2018 · Edward McCartyWith the size and amount of people at the cub-o-ree one would think they would take the time to address some issues. This could have been an awesome place, the lack of coordination, communication, and over all leadership was terrible, everything was done last minute. There was little to no maintenance that has been done on the place in a long time. We had to kick the leaves in the shower over to one corner and when we pulled the curtain it was covered in stink bugs, the pirate ship had holes in the floor.
Sep 29, 2019 · Jeremy MillerA wonderful part of Clark County history! The John Works house, near the old Mill site is a literal piece of history. Nearby is the Nine Penny nature preserve, once part of the Works family land.
Jan 23, 2022 · Frank Glover IINeed better scheduling and group rotation. Our pack waited at each activity or got turned away due to poor planning. Didn't get to use the shooting range, canoe or bounce house 👎
