Twin Lakes Rv Park Introduce
Are you searching for "camping near me" in the Cumming, Georgia area, specifically looking for a place to park your RV for a short getaway or an extended stay? Twin Lakes RV Park, located at 3300 Shore Dr, Cumming, GA 30040, USA, is an option to consider. You can reach them by phone at (770) 887-4400 or via mobile at +1 770-887-4400. Based on the available customer reviews, this introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview of the RV park's environment, potential services, and features to assist in your decision-making process.
The name "Twin Lakes RV Park" suggests the presence of a lake as a central feature of the environment. One reviewer confirms this, mentioning that the lake is a great place to walk dogs around, describing the path as more akin to a small hiking trail. This indicates a potential opportunity for leisurely strolls with pets and enjoying a natural setting. The reviewer also highlights the park as a "great place to get some walking in with the pup," suggesting a pet-friendly aspect for those traveling with dogs.
Upon arrival, one visitor noted a "nice and beautiful layout" of the park, with attention drawn to the lake and a fountain displayed in the middle. This initial impression suggests an aesthetically pleasing environment that could contribute to a sense of calm and relaxation. The reviewer specifically mentioned feeling a sense of peace and safety upon seeing the place, recommending it as a good spot to relax with friends, family, or alone, whether sunbathing or simply enjoying the surroundings. This positive initial impression points to a potentially tranquil and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
In terms of services and features, one review explicitly states, "It's got all of your things you need when it comes to camping and setting up your RV." While this is a general statement, it implies the availability of essential hookups for RVs. Another reviewer mentions "electric and water hookups," suggesting that at least these basic utilities are provided at the sites. This is crucial for RV travelers who rely on these connections for power and water supply.
However, it's important to note some potential drawbacks mentioned by another visitor. This reviewer points out the absence of a bathhouse, which could be a significant consideration for those who prefer or require such facilities. Additionally, they mention that for stays of a few nights, guests might be placed down by the lake, which could mean "tight quarters and unlevel ground." This suggests that not all sites are equally spacious or well-leveled, and the proximity to the lake might come with certain compromises in terms of site conditions.
Furthermore, the same reviewer describes the area with hookups as looking "more like a parking lot," indicating that some sections of the RV park might lack a more traditional, natural camping feel. They also noted a lack of clear demarcation between individual sites, stating, "you don’t know where your site ends and the person next to you’s site begins." This could potentially lead to a lack of privacy and a feeling of being closely situated to neighboring RVs.
Despite these potential drawbacks, the positive review emphasizes that Twin Lakes RV Park is a "GREAT PLACE TO PUT YOUR RV FOR A SHORT TIME OR LONG TIME" and comes with a "100% RECOMMEND." This suggests that despite the lack of a bathhouse and the potential for tight or unlevel sites in certain areas, the overall experience can be positive, particularly regarding the peaceful atmosphere and the availability of essential RV hookups.
Considering the category "camping near me" and the specific needs of RV owners, Twin Lakes RV Park offers a location in Cumming, GA, with lake access and essential RV hookups. The pet-friendly environment, as indicated by the dog-walking trail around the lake, could be a significant draw for pet owners. The reported calm and safe atmosphere further enhances its appeal as a place to relax.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the mention of accommodating both short-term and long-term stays suggests flexibility in booking durations. To inquire about specific rates, site availability, and any potential discounts for longer stays or local residents, it is advisable to contact Twin Lakes RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers. You may also want to inquire about the different types of sites available to understand the layout and amenities of each.
In conclusion, Twin Lakes RV Park in Cumming, GA, offers a lakeside setting with essential RV hookups, making it a potential option for those seeking "RV parks near me." The park appears to be pet-friendly and offers a calm and safe environment. However, potential visitors should be aware of the reported lack of a bathhouse and the possibility of tight and unlevel sites near the lake. The description of some areas resembling a parking lot also suggests that the aesthetic might not appeal to everyone seeking a more traditional camping experience. It is recommended to contact the RV park directly to gather more detailed information about site options, amenities, and current rates to determine if it meets your specific needs for your next RV camping trip in the Cumming area.

Twin Lakes Rv Park Reviews
The lake is great to walk your dog around, more like a small hiking trail. Great place to get some walking in with the pup. No bathhouse. If staying for a few nights they put down by the lake but that means tight quarters and unlevel ground. Looks more like a parking lot with electric and water hookups. Also you don’t know where your site ends and the person next to you’s site begins.
Apr 03, 2025 · Jim IWell when you pull in you can see a nice and beautiful layout of the place.. Your attention is drawn to the lake and a fountain displayed in the middle.. But what really caught my eyes was the calm I felt from seeing the place.. You can tell it's a good and a safe place to relax with friends and family, or just all alone catching some sun, or just sitting back taking it all in will definitely help ease your stress.. It's got all of your things you need when it comes to camping and setting up your RV . IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO PUT YOUR RV FOR A SHORT TIME OR LONG TIME.. COME CHECK IT OUT BC YOU WILL LOVE IT .100% RECOMMEND
Apr 12, 2025 · Jason DayThe camping spot was not level at all. I could only compensate so much with scissor jacks. The host was very nice, and so were the grounds. No bathhouse, which is a detriment. The construction in the area made traffic terrible. The lakes were beautiful, and I enjoyed walking my dog around.
Jan 23, 2025 · Adam HummelDrove by basically to check it out for possible quite quick get away from the house.Really comes across as more of a mobile home park for RVs. Mostly just a gravel lot, little to no shade, no bath house, no laundry. The Best areas look like permanent residents.Kept up nicely and clean. But not what I was hoping for.
