Vermilion Ridge Campground Reviews
Vermillion Ridge Campground is beautiful in the fall with the full color change in swing. But in general the campground is great. Newer bathroom and shower facilities. Also, nice big camp sites. The firewood system is easy through the yodel app. Just grab what you need and pay via the app. The lake is beautiful, and the trails are great and easy to follow. I will definitely be back!
Sep 24, 2023 · RandiTruly beautiful setting and top-notch facilities, but the staff stood out as really exceptional. They love their jobs and the park and area they represent. Colin was a ranger we ran into twice, and he is a perfect example of an enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff member. We stayed in the campground and the camper cabins and both experiences far exceeded our expectations. We will come back and recommend to all our friends!
Jun 21, 2023 · Patti HolmesGreat campground! Sites are very spacious and private. Very quiet and peaceful park. Shower house looks new and was very clean. Cell signal about 2 bars with Verizon but enough to stream movies at night. Our site was electric only; there is a dump and water fill up point at the sanitary station on the way out. Mosquitos were quite vicious in late august but we would definitely stay again if in the area!
Aug 30, 2022 · LaurenElectric/heated cabins felt brand new - include WiFi, a metal fire pit, outdoor cooking area, and a small raised deck overlooking the woods. The shared shower facility was clean, warm, and easy to get to at night. The Onamani trail was great for birding and wildlife viewing - my hike included porcupine, snowshoe hares, all sorts of birds, deer, and some fresh black bear tracks. The park is still being developed and several trails were under construction. I was also there during the off-season, so many areas were closed down or blocked off. It was incredibly frustrating to go anywhere outside of the cabin area. The underground mine tours were closed (expected), but it wasn’t clear if/where we were allowed to park to go on the hiking club trail or do the self guided tour. The winter entrance had a sign saying that the road to the parking was restricted and the summer area gate was closed. I tried during daytime and after hours and eventually gave up.
Apr 28, 2023 · Kelsey HThe Vermillion campground is gorgeous! Amazing hiking trails and paved bike trails. We were in site 112 which has a huge rock shelf area behind and to the side of the site. Make sure if you are tenting to bring drinkable water. The water in the campground is non-potable and not safe for drinking.
