Weary Traveler Introduce
For local residents and travelers passing through the Seymour, Indiana area in their recreational vehicles, Weary Traveler, located at 913 S Commerce Dr, offers a highly convenient and well-regarded RV park. As the name suggests, Weary Traveler caters especially to those on the road, providing a clean, level, and easily accessible stop for a restful night or longer. If you are searching for a reliable "camping near me" option specifically designed for RVs, with excellent amenities and security, Weary Traveler is definitely worth considering.
One of the primary advantages of Weary Traveler, consistently praised by visitors, is its suitability as a "pass-through park." Travelers coming from afar, such as those returning from Florida, have found it to be a "great location" for an overnight stop. This suggests that its location offers easy access to major travel routes, making it a convenient choice for those on long journeys who need a comfortable and reliable place to rest. For local RV owners planning trips, Weary Traveler could also serve as a convenient starting or ending point for their travels.
Cleanliness is another hallmark of Weary Traveler RV Park. Multiple reviewers specifically mention that "The park was clean," and it is described as "very clean, neat and well maintained." This attention to cleanliness ensures a pleasant and comfortable environment for all guests, contributing to a positive overall experience. Knowing that the facilities are well-kept can provide peace of mind, especially for those who prioritize hygiene while traveling.
The physical layout of Weary Traveler is also highly commended, particularly the levelness of the parking lots. One reviewer stated, "The Lots were level," and another described them as "large super level sites." Level sites are crucial for RVers, as they ensure proper functioning of appliances, comfortable sleeping, and prevent unnecessary strain on the vehicle's leveling systems. This feature makes Weary Traveler a particularly appealing option for those who value ease of setup and comfort.
Accessibility and security are also notable features of Weary Traveler. The park boasts a "wide entrance," making it easy for even large RVs to navigate without difficulty. Additionally, it is "gated with coded entry," providing an added layer of security and peace of mind for guests and their belongings. This gated access helps to create a safe and controlled environment within the park.
For those who rely on internet connectivity, Weary Traveler offers "fabulous" Wi-Fi. In today's connected world, reliable internet access is often essential for travelers, whether for planning routes, staying in touch with family, or even working remotely. The high praise for the Wi-Fi at Weary Traveler indicates a strong and dependable connection, a significant amenity for many RVers.
While Weary Traveler does not have a bathhouse, this was not an issue for at least one reviewer, who stated, "No bath house which was no problem for us." This suggests that the park primarily caters to RVers who have their own bathroom and shower facilities within their vehicles. However, for tent campers or those whose RVs might have limited facilities, this could be a consideration.
The park is described as having "30 sites," which suggests a relatively intimate and manageable size. This could contribute to the quiet and well-maintained atmosphere reported by guests. The reviewer who stayed in site 30 noted that "the interstate noise was minimal - we had no problem sleeping soundly," indicating that despite its potentially convenient location near travel routes, the park offers a peaceful night's rest.
Finally, Weary Traveler is described as a "great, inexpensive stay." This combination of quality amenities, convenient location, and affordability makes it an exceptionally attractive option for RVers. The strong recommendation to "STAY HERE!!" from a satisfied guest further underscores the positive experiences of those who have visited.
While specific promotional information is not provided in the reviews, the consistently high ratings and positive comments serve as a strong endorsement for Weary Traveler RV Park. Weary Traveler Reviews
Traveling home from Florida this was a great location. The park was clean. The Lots were level. It was wonderful for just being a pass-through park. I rate it so high five stars doesn’t even Match it. I’d recommend this for anyone. Also the Wi-Fi was fabulous.
Apr 17, 2025 · Margaret StartVery unique RV park. Easy in/out, large super level sites, wide entrance, gated with coded entry. No dog park but there are poop stations with bags and receptacles. No bath house which was no problem for us. There are 30 sites. Very clean, neat and well maintained. We stayed in site 30 and the interstate noise was minimal - we had no problem sleeping soundly. Great, inexpensive stay. STAY HERE!!
Oct 22, 2024 · Donna FulmerThis was the best overnight stop! SO easy on and off the freeway. GATED-- which we love. Clean and easy sites--all with very easy to distinguish signs. Hookups perfectly done.YES, you can hear a tiny bit of freeway noise. Turn on some white noise if that bothers you, but we slept great. There is a TA easily accessible on the same road as campground. We were able to grab diesel and DEF on our way out in the morning! Walmart right down the street if you need it.Perfect! Thank you!
Oct 17, 2024 · The TravelersA new self service RV park. Best for an overnight but ok for a longer stay also. No bath house but with full hookups it doesn't matter to me. It's located right next to interstate hwy so select a spot as far to the back of the park as possible to reduce hwy noise. I would definately stay again. Starlink works great as there are no trees or obstructions.
Oct 22, 2024 · Warren From GARight off the highway so very convenient for a one night stop. Nothing fancy, just a spot to park for the night. Level gravel with full hookups. No picnic table or anything like that. Safe with a gate code you get upon making a reservation. We were in spot 2 so luckily we didn’t have the west setting sun in front because it was extremely hot anyways. Lots of traffic noise but a good concept for a no frills one night stop.
