The environment at White Oak Shores Campground is frequently lauded for its spaciousness and meticulous maintenance. One reviewer, comparing it favorably to several other campgrounds in North Carolina and Florida, specifically mentions the ample size of the sites, comfortably accommodating both large and smaller RVs. This spaciousness ensures that campers have enough room to maneuver their vehicles and enjoy their outdoor living areas without feeling cramped. The fact that the electrical post, water spigot, and cable box are positioned higher off the ground than in other campgrounds is a thoughtful detail that speaks to the well-designed infrastructure and attention to the needs of RV travelers.
The overall maintenance of White Oak Shores Campground is consistently highlighted as "very well maintained" and "super nice." This suggests that the grounds are kept clean, orderly, and visually appealing, contributing to a pleasant and comfortable camping experience for all visitors. Such attention to detail in maintaining the campground reflects a commitment to providing a high-quality environment for their guests.
One of the standout features of White Oak Shores Campground is the exceptional friendliness of both the staff and the community. Reviewers repeatedly mention the "extremely friendly and accommodating" staff who are "very attentive" and go out of their way to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. The warm and welcoming atmosphere extends to the other campers as well, with many noting that "all the people are very nice, everyone says hello and waves hi." This strong sense of community creates a positive and welcoming environment for both short-term visitors and long-term residents.
For pet owners, White Oak Shores Campground offers a significant amenity: two dedicated dog parks, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. These separate areas, which are also noted for being "very clean," provide a safe and enjoyable space for furry companions to exercise and socialize. This thoughtful inclusion demonstrates an understanding of the needs of RV travelers who often bring their pets along.
Navigating the campground is made easy by the "very wide" roads, which are designed to accommodate even large RVs without difficulty. This ease of access is a practical benefit that reduces stress during arrival and departure, particularly for those with larger rigs. The well-planned layout of the campground contributes to a smooth and hassle-free experience.
The campsites themselves are also praised for their quality. One reviewer who stayed for a long 14-day period in one of the "new sites" noted that "very little leveling was needed," and that "most sites look level" in general. Level campsites are crucial for the proper functioning of RV appliances and for overall comfort, and this positive feedback indicates that White Oak Shores Campground has invested in well-constructed and level pads.
A particularly unique feature of White Oak Shores Campground, as highlighted by one enthusiastic reviewer, is the opportunity to secure a lot for a permanent site. This reviewer initially intended to camp for just three nights but was so impressed with the campground that they decided to become a permanent resident, even building a deck, underpinning their camper, and adding a railing. This speaks volumes about the desirability and appeal of White Oak Shores Campground as a long-term living option within a welcoming community.
While specific promotional offers for the off-season or the upcoming summer season are not detailed in the provided reviews, the reviewer who stayed during the off-season expressed a strong desire to return during the summer, contingent on availability. This suggests that the campground is likely a popular destination year-round, and potential visitors are encouraged to inquire about seasonal rates and availability, especially during peak times.

White Oak Shores Campground Reviews
White Oak Shores Campground in NC is the best RV Campground so far, Its sites are spacious. They are well-positioned for large and smaller RVs. The electrical post, water spigot, and cable box are higher off the ground than the 4 I visited in NC and 1 in Orlando, FL. It is very well maintained, super nice. All the people are very nice, everyone says hello and waves hi. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. They are very attentive and make my stay super enjoyable. They have 2 dog parks, 1 small and 1 large, which is very clean. The roads are very wide and easy to drive through. They placed me in their new sites due to my long 14-day stay; very little leveling was needed, most sites look level to me. I am here during their off-season and would love to come back in the summer season, hopefully, they have space available.
Apr 05, 2025 · US Navy VetWe went with the intention of camping in our 5th wheel for 3 nights. We ended up securing a lot for a permanent site, built a deck, underpinned the camper, and out up a railing on the deck. Very happy to be on the nice corner lot in their newest section of the park.
Dec 06, 2024 · Deborah MitchellBeautiful campground. Nice, big pool area with huge slide for the kids young and old with great view of the sound. Unfortunately, the slide was closed for the season. Nice Adult area for parties. RV Lots are spacious and flat. The drawback is they don't have any full hookups for Thousand Trails members only water and electric sites. The bath houses are good with individual door entrance for each shower area.
Sep 25, 2024 · Deanna ThomasThis rv park does have a beautiful pier on the water, but they only have a couple full hookup sites they use for TT members. We were placed in the field where the row of dumpsters sat for the entire park. For 5 days, we endured the smell and flies. When they picked up one of the full dumpsters to change it out, they placed it directly behind our rig, picked up another full dumpster, and then left. The flies then swarmed, and at that point, we'd had enough. Laura was apologetic and did not hesitate to move us to a full hookup site. There were 20+ full hookup sites that stayed vacant the entire duration of our two-week stay. While TT members were allowed to pull in to dump at these sites, you had to go back to the field. Why would you purposely place TT members in a field by the dumpsters and not let them utilize "retail" sites that stay empty for two weeks? This was a fiasco for us, and we will not be back. I hope Jimmy reconsiders the placement of TT members when you have so many regular rv sites not reserved.
Dec 27, 2024 · The Traveling BrownsRooms doesn't apply here. But the service for transit or "perminant", campers WILL be better than expected. They are accommodating. The camp ground has alot of activities for all ages and is a beautiful location!
