The environment within Taylorville Valley View Mobile Home Park is currently characterized by a concerted effort towards improvement. Historically, the park had a "bad reputation" and was described as looking "like a junk yard" with a perceived low quality of residents. However, recent changes in ownership and management have led to a noticeable and ongoing revitalization. Current residents commend these efforts, noting that properties are "cleaner," the residents are "cleaner," and "nicer homes" are being brought into the community. This indicates a focus on enhancing the aesthetic appeal and overall living standards within the park. Individual homes within the park, such as a 2-bedroom, 1-bath unit built in 1987, have been updated with features like new wood laminate flooring in the living room and bedrooms, new vinyl in the kitchen, and amenities such as a refrigerator, range/oven, central air, and gas heating. Modern homes being introduced also suggest higher standards of living. The park is characterized as a "Family" park type, suggesting an environment suitable for families.
From a services and features perspective, Taylorville Valley View Mobile Home Park provides the fundamental infrastructure for manufactured home living. This typically includes lot leases, access to public utilities like city water and city sewer, which are crucial for comfortable living. Specific homes may feature dedicated parking slabs and various exterior materials like aluminum siding and metal roofing. The core service provided is the provision of a managed community environment, with the current management actively working to improve the park's reputation and living conditions. While explicit details on a comprehensive list of amenities (e.g., clubhouse, playground) are not readily available in public information, the positive reviews suggest an emphasis on creating a safe and comfortable neighborhood. One resident specifically mentions feeling "very comfortable and safe raising my daughter in this neighborhood," indicating a focus on a secure environment.
Promotional information, as conveyed through positive resident testimonials, centers on the ongoing transformation and the commitment to a better community. The park is actively trying to achieve a sense of "pride in yourself, your home and your community." This implies that the current management is not only investing in physical improvements but also fostering a positive community culture. The efforts to bring in "nicer homes" and remove "problem tenants" (as might be implied by the phrase "kicked out horrible people" from another review of a park under similar management) suggest a strategic approach to improving the overall quality of residents and property standards. The acknowledgement that "improvement doesn't happen overnight" also sets realistic expectations, emphasizing a long-term commitment to enhancing the park's environment and reputation.
In conclusion, Taylorville Valley View Mobile Home Park, for those considering "RV Parks Near Me" or manufactured home living, is a community in Taylorville, IL, that is clearly on a path of significant positive change. While it may have had a challenging past reputation, current management and ownership are actively working to improve the physical appearance and overall quality of life for residents. The park is striving to provide a comfortable, safe, and clean environment, bringing in newer homes and fostering a sense of community pride. Prospective residents are encouraged to visit the park to witness the ongoing improvements firsthand, discuss current policies with management, and assess if the evolving community aligns with their housing needs and preferences.

Taylorville Valley View Mobile Home Park Reviews
I feel very comfortable and safe raising my daughter in this neighborhood. Thank you for doing your best!
Mar 23, 2025 · Samantha McClainI have lived in Taylorville my whole life. This park has changed names and owners with no improvements whatsoever. Still had a bad reputation (for good reason), looked like a junk yard and the quality of residents was the same. UNTIL now! Properties are cleaner, the people living there are cleaner, they are bringing in nicer homes. I now own one of those homes and I can’t wait to see further improvement. Improvement doesnt happen overnight and it doesn’t happen without help from current residents. You have to have pride in yourself, your home and your community and this is exactly what this park is trying to achieve.
Aug 02, 2024 · Fara MillerThis community is very peaceful, safe and affordable thanks to new management. Great place to live.
Aug 03, 2024 · Cindy JacksonHaving new managers is a step forward for this place. Last so-called "manager" made multiple promises but NEVER followed through with any of them. Rented residential zoned property to a storage facility! So..instead of paying storage facilities this "business" rents residential property to store what? BUT no one can blame the newest manager, Yvette left a mess.
Jan 29, 2023 · M PMMoved here in April and the new owner is really getting it cleaned up. He also does extensive background checks to eliminate any riff raff very kid friendly I would definitely recommend
