Unlike some campgrounds where sites can feel cramped, Wildwood offers spots that are not right on top of each other, providing a welcome sense of personal space and privacy. Campers can choose between sites that offer ample shade, perfect for those hot summer days, or sunnier spots for those who prefer more light or are utilizing solar power. The presence of friendly and helpful hosts is a recurring positive point in camper reviews, indicating a commitment to ensuring guests have a pleasant stay. The campground features a restroom facility on each side, each equipped with one shower and one flush toilet. This is a significant convenience that enhances the overall camping experience, offering a step up from more rustic campgrounds with only vault toilets. The cleanliness and maintenance of these facilities are also highlighted in visitor feedback, contributing to the positive perception of the campground.
One of the notable features of Wildwood Campground is its convenient location for accessing a variety of outdoor activities. For those who enjoy hiking, the campground serves as a great basecamp for exploring nearby trails. Additionally, its proximity to Lake Superior opens up a wealth of opportunities for day trips and enjoying the stunning scenery and recreational activities the lake has to offer. Whether you're interested in exploring the shoreline, kayaking, or simply taking in the breathtaking views, Wildwood Campground provides easy access to this natural gem. The dog-friendly policy is another significant feature, allowing you to bring your furry companions along to enjoy the outdoor adventure with you. This welcoming approach to pets ensures that your entire family can partake in the camping experience.
While the reviews highlight the positive aspects of Wildwood Campground, it's also worth noting the presence of seasonal campers. The fact that a fair amount of seasonal campers choose Wildwood as their regular retreat speaks volumes about the campground's appeal and the sense of community it fosters. For short-term visitors, this can contribute to a friendly and established atmosphere. However, it's something to be aware of when considering the overall dynamic of the campground, particularly during peak seasons.

Wildwood Campground Reviews
Great place to camp. Friendly and helpful hosts. Spots not right on top of each other. There are some shady spots and some in sun. There are a fair amount of seasonal campers there. A restroom with one shower and one flush toilet for each side. Nice location to be able to get out for good hiking and trips to Lake Superior. Dog friendly.

Aug 06, 2020 · Robin BarnesSandy and Carl were so welcoming and gracious. Sandy offered great directions to the campground and answered all of the questions I had. They showed us right to our site and gave us some wood to start our campfire. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. We will definitely be stopping here again on our annual trip to the boundary waters!
