It's not a bad little campsite. It was our first time using this campground. The campsite comes with a bench, picnic table, and a fireplace with a grill. There is no electric hook up or showers. (Which we knew in advanced). So it is a little bit of a rougher camping, however, we didn't mind. There is a dumpster along with recycling options. Definitely another plus! The only downfall is when we arrived the first night someone was on our camping site. It was 10:30 pm and we were tired after driving 5 hours after work. I spoke with a lady, and they don't have a park office, and no one to call for the site. Which is understandable for a smaller campsite. However, the only thing she could offer was another site, and she wanted us to pay a fee to change site grounds.I will say that did upset me due to the fact that it was not our fault someone else had taken our reserved spot. 🙃 I did ask the lady kindly if it was necessary due to this being out of our control. She did get a little bit of an attitude with me in regards to that and said it was policy and put me on hold for 30 minutes while she contacted someone else. (It was late, so maybe that was why) But once she was back, she did end up informing me they would waive the fee. However, during that time, we were able to luckily talk to the person who was at our site, and they were kind enough to be able to resolve the issue, we just had to wait until the next morning. The customer service could have been a little more helpful. Outside of that, it wasn't bad. - Faye Wolff

Copper Range Campground Introduce

For local adventurers seeking a more traditional and rustic "camping near me" experience, Copper Range Campground, located at 13804 Park Rd, Brule, WI 54820, USA, offers a charming setting within a pine forest. Based on recent customer reviews, this smaller campground provides a back-to-basics approach to camping, emphasizing the natural environment and essential amenities. While some aspects of the experience, particularly regarding site management, warrant consideration, the overall atmosphere and natural beauty appear to be significant draws for those looking to immerse themselves in the Wisconsin wilderness.

The environment of Copper Range Campground is consistently described as a "pine forest," which many campers find appealing, especially noting the pleasant scent after rainfall. This setting suggests a landscape characterized by coniferous trees, providing shade and a quintessential Northwoods feel. A significant feature of the location is its proximity to a river, with a "short walk" leading to the river's edge and a designated "canoe landing." This access point opens up opportunities for paddling, fishing, and enjoying the scenic beauty of the river. The reviews also mention that most campsites are relatively close to each other with "little buffering," which might be a consideration for campers seeking more secluded spots. However, there are reportedly a few "drive-in sites that offer a little more privacy" and some "walk-in sites" located a short distance from parking, providing options for varying preferences regarding accessibility and seclusion.

In terms of services, Copper Range Campground offers essential amenities for a comfortable, albeit rustic, stay. Each campsite is equipped with a "bench, picnic table, and a fireplace with a grill," providing the basics for outdoor cooking and relaxation. It is important to note, as highlighted by a reviewer, that there are "no electric hook up or showers" available at the campground. This makes it ideal for those who prefer a more primitive camping experience and come prepared with their own power sources and hygiene solutions. On the positive side, the campground provides practical facilities such as a "dumpster along with recycling options," indicating an effort towards waste management and environmental responsibility. The "bathroom was clean and mostly bug free," suggesting that while basic, the facilities are maintained to a reasonable standard.

The features of Copper Range Campground extend beyond the individual campsites and basic amenities. The presence of a canoe landing directly accessible from the campground is a significant feature for water enthusiasts. The surrounding pine forest itself offers opportunities for leisurely walks and enjoying nature. The availability of both drive-in and walk-in sites caters to different needs and preferences, with the walk-in sites offering a quieter experience, albeit with a short walk to carry gear. The well-organized garbage and recycling area and the maintained bathroom contribute to a positive overall experience of the campground's infrastructure.

One notable aspect raised in the reviews concerns the campground's management, particularly regarding site reservations and customer service. One reviewer recounted an issue upon arrival where their reserved campsite was occupied. The lack of a dedicated park office or immediate on-site staff to resolve the issue efficiently was mentioned as a drawback. While the issue was eventually resolved through the cooperation of the other campers and a waiver of a site change fee, the initial handling was described as less than ideal. This suggests that while the natural setting and basic amenities are appreciated, the administrative aspects of the campground might have room for improvement. The reviewer did note that the grounds themselves were well-maintained, indicating that efforts are made in upkeep.

Regarding promotional information, there are no specific discounts or special offers mentioned in the provided reviews. However, the positive comments about the natural setting, the smell of the pine forest after rain, and the access to the river and canoe landing serve as inherent promotional points. The fact that some campers express a desire to return, particularly if they could reserve specific sites known for their privacy or location, also speaks to the campground's appeal. For local users considering Copper Range Campground, the "best reservable sites" are noted to be booked early, suggesting its popularity among those familiar with the area. To inquire about site availability, reservation procedures, and any potential seasonal promotions, contacting the campground directly at (715) 372-5678 or +1 715-372-5678 is recommended. Additionally, local platforms under the "camping near me" category might provide information on availability and booking options.

For local users seeking a rustic camping experience in a pine forest setting with river access and a canoe landing, Copper Range Campground in Brule, WI, presents a viable option. The basic amenities provided at each site, along with the recycling facilities and clean bathroom, offer a foundation for a comfortable stay. However, potential campers should be aware of the lack of electric hookups and showers, requiring them to be self-sufficient in these areas. The feedback regarding site management suggests that while the natural environment is a strong point, it might be beneficial to book preferred sites well in advance, if possible, and to be prepared for a potentially less formal check-in process.

When planning a trip to Copper Range Campground, local users might also find it helpful to explore resources available through "camping near me" platforms for nearby supplies or services. Being prepared for a rustic camping experience, including bringing necessary lighting, power banks, and personal hygiene items, will contribute to a more enjoyable stay. Additionally, exploring the Brule River area might reveal opportunities for hiking, further exploration of the natural landscape, and local attractions.

In conclusion, Copper Range Campground offers a "not bad little campsite" for those seeking a more traditional camping experience in a scenic pine forest with river access in Brule, Wisconsin. While the amenities are basic and some administrative aspects have received mixed feedback, the natural setting and features like the canoe landing are definite positives. Local users looking for "camping near me" who appreciate a rustic environment and come prepared will likely find Copper Range Campground a worthwhile destination. It is advisable to contact the campground directly for reservation details and any specific requirements for a comfortable stay.
