Wolfs Camping Resort Introduce
For local users in western Pennsylvania and surrounding areas searching within the 'camping near me' category, Wolfs Camping Resort, located at 308 Timberwolf Run, Knox, PA 16232, presents a camping option with both positive and negative recent feedback. You can contact them at (814) 797-1103 or their mobile number +1 814-797-1103 for inquiries and reservations. Situated in the Knox area, this resort appears to offer a range of amenities, but potential guests should be aware of recent changes and varying customer experiences.
The environment surrounding Wolfs Camping Resort in Knox, Pennsylvania, likely offers a rural setting typical of the region. While specific details about the natural landscape are not provided in the reviews, one positive comment about "how spacious our site was" suggests that the campground offers sites with ample room. The overall ambiance would likely be one of a recreational campground, potentially with wooded areas or open fields for campsites. The mention of a heated pool indicates a focus on providing leisure and family-friendly amenities. For those seeking 'camping near me' that offers a resort-style experience with on-site facilities, Wolfs Camping Resort might be of interest, but the potential for noise from golf carts, as mentioned in a negative review, should be considered.
Based on the limited recent customer feedback, the services at Wolfs Camping Resort include a "heated pool," which was a significant positive for one family during their camping trip. This suggests that the resort aims to provide recreational amenities for guests of all ages. Another service implied by a negative review is the presence of "golf carts," which appear to be used by many within the campground. The availability of weekend camping sites seems to be a point of concern, with one reviewer noting that there were "not many weekend sites to pick from," suggesting high demand or a shift towards more permanent sites. The same review also mentions a lack of enforcement regarding weed eating at permanent sites, potentially impacting the overall aesthetic appeal of the campground. Conversely, the positive review highlights "spacious" campsites, indicating that at least some sites offer ample room for campers.
The features of Wolfs Camping Resort include both positive and potentially negative aspects based on the recent reviews. The "heated pool" is a notable feature that appeals to families and those looking for recreational activities within the campground. The "spacious" campsites, as mentioned in one positive review, contribute to a more comfortable camping experience. However, a significant feature that drew negative feedback is the prevalence and use of "golf carts." One reviewer found them "annoying" due to their constant presence on the roads and the perceived lack of enforcement of the 11:00 pm rule for parking them, leading to noise late into the night. The increasing number of "permanent sites taking over the entire campground" is also a feature that might limit the availability of weekend sites for transient campers, potentially affecting those searching for short-term 'camping near me' options.
The contrasting reviews highlight a potential shift in the campground's atmosphere and priorities. While the heated pool and spacious sites remain positive features, the issues with golf cart noise and the appearance of some permanent sites suggest a need for attention to campground management and the balance between permanent and transient campers. The negative review also implies a potential decline in the overall upkeep of the campground ("Campground is looking run down"). Potential guests should weigh these contrasting experiences when considering a stay at Wolfs Camping Resort.
Regarding promotional information, the provided text does not contain any specific details about current discounts or special offers at Wolfs Camping Resort. Local users interested in potential promotions should inquire directly when contacting the campground via phone. It's possible that they might offer seasonal rates, discounts for longer stays, or family packages, but this information would need to be confirmed with the resort management. Given the mixed reviews, it might be beneficial to ask about recent improvements or management changes when inquiring about rates and availability.
The increasing number of permanent sites, as mentioned in one review, could indicate a business strategy shift that might impact the experience for short-term campers. While permanent residents can contribute to a sense of community, a high concentration might reduce the availability of weekend spots and potentially alter the overall atmosphere of a campground catering to temporary visitors. The issue with golf cart usage and noise suggests a need for clearer rules and enforcement to ensure a relaxing environment for all guests. The discrepancy between the positive experience of enjoying the heated pool and spacious sites and the negative experience of noise and campground appearance highlights the importance of considering the full spectrum of recent feedback.
In conclusion, Wolfs Camping Resort near Knox, PA, offers the appealing features of a heated pool and spacious campsites, which have contributed to positive experiences for some visitors. However, recent feedback also raises concerns about the increasing number of permanent sites limiting weekend availability, the prevalence and potential noise from golf carts with perceived lack of rule enforcement, and a possible decline in the overall appearance of the campground due to unkempt permanent sites. Local users searching for 'camping near me' should consider these contrasting viewpoints and inquire directly with Wolfs Camping Resort about current conditions, policies regarding golf carts and permanent sites, and any available promotions to make an informed decision about their stay.

Wolfs Camping Resort Reviews
Haven’t camped there for probably 3 years, and a lot has changed. Not many weekend sites to pick from, permanent sites taking over the entire campground. Golf carts are annoying, most don’t even get them off the road forPeople to pass thru with their campers. And the 11:00 pm rule for golf carts to beParked is a joke, 12:30 young kids still out riding. Not relaxing to sit and have to hear noisy golf carts all hours of the night and day. Campground is looking run down, they don’t enforce weed eating at permanent sites obviously, a lot of them looked terrible. Won’t be visiting again anytime soon…
Sep 03, 2024 · Jaime SlackHad our family camping trip this past weekend and enjoyed every second! Our family loved the heated pool!! Between the pool and how spacious our site was, it was an amazing experience! Will definitely be making plans to go back soon!
Jul 03, 2024 · Lauren HesidenzBest campground in the Clarion area. Lots of activities every weekend and friendly campers. Great staff!
Nov 23, 2024 · Cheryl FreshwaterWe got there, and the Mobile we rented was dirty. I called to let them know, and they apologized. I asked for cleaning supplies and was told they didn't think they had any.I had Clorox wipes, so for the evening, I wiped down everything we were going to have to touch. The TV didn't work, I called the maintenance man came down. I showed him the dirty and bloody mattress pad. He said that's wrong he'd sleep on the sofa also. But the dirt probably came from when I turned on the ceiling fan.Oh boy, was it bad.I showed him the dishes with food on them as well as the dirty bathroom. He apologized. And got me another TV.The next day, I got cleaning supplies and cleaned and washed the mattress pad. Their pillows and curtains as I was not hanging those dirty things back on my clean walls. Then, apparently, they double booked the rental ( after we had been there a few days and cleaned it), so we had to leave.I was sad as it was a nice place friendly neighborhood, and I looked forward to being there for the next 2 weeks.Just didn't sound like the same place my mother in law bragged about or the Mrs. X would leave her home as she passed away last fall. I'm thinking they sold out over the last year or something 🤔.The oly picture I took was bottom of the fridge as I wanted to show my husband when he got back.
Jun 03, 2023 · Turtle DavisWe were very lucky to have had 3+ weeks here. The staff is friendly. The park is kept clean. The laundry facilities are kept clean. The seasonal residents are nice. The pool seems to be nice and clean. They even have a small pool side restaurant and ice cream shop. I would most definitely recommend to others.
