Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park West Georgia Introduce
For local families and camping enthusiasts searching for "camping near me" that offers a blend of outdoor fun and family-friendly activities, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park West Georgia, located at 106 King St in Bremen, GA, presents an interesting option. Based on recent customer reviews, the park is currently undergoing some changes and expansions, which could impact the overall experience depending on the timing of your visit.
Several reviewers have noted that the park is in a phase where updates and repairs are needed around the grounds. Some existing facilities are described as broken or in need of work, which led one reviewer to deduct a star from their rating. Specific examples include the putt-putt course, which is mentioned as needing work, and the playground, which is also described as being in need of some repairs. Potential local visitors should be aware that some areas of the park might not be in pristine condition at this time.
Despite these acknowledged maintenance needs, many visitors, particularly families, report having a wonderful time at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park West Georgia. A recurring highlight in the positive feedback is the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially the lady in the activity center. Reviewers consistently praise her energetic and helpful demeanor, noting that she single-handedly manages and runs all the activities for the children, creating a positive and engaging atmosphere. Her dedication and positive attitude seem to be a significant factor in the enjoyable experiences reported by families. The reviewers also express hope that her hard work is recognized and supported with additional help in the activity center.
The park currently offers a range of amenities, including a putt-putt course (though in need of repair), a jumping pillow, a playground (also noted for needing some repairs), and a swimming pool. It's important to note that, according to a spring break visitor in March, the pools were not yet ready for the season, which is understandable given the time of year. This highlights the importance of checking the availability of seasonal amenities depending on your visit dates.
Past visitors during the summer months have reported a wider array of activities, such as ceramics, t-shirt tie-dye, and s'mores. However, one recent reviewer who visited during the spring break (a weekday during school months) noted that these activities were not readily available, suggesting that the activity schedule might be more limited outside of peak season or weekends. This is a crucial point for local families planning a weekday getaway during the school year; they should be prepared to potentially find fewer organized activities.
Interestingly, the reviews indicate that Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park West Georgia is currently undergoing significant expansion. There are plans to add 100 acres to the park, which will include new RV sites. This expansion will also feature exciting new amenities such as a new pool, an amphitheater, a cafe, a store, and a new play area. This ongoing development could explain some of the current upkeep issues, as resources might be focused on the new additions. The future of the park looks promising with these planned enhancements.
For local users searching for "camping near me" who are also interested in related services and goods, a Jellystone Park typically offers an on-site store for basic camping supplies, snacks, and souvenirs. The future plans for a new store suggest that this amenity will continue to be available and potentially improved. For more extensive shopping needs, the town of Bremen is nearby and likely offers grocery stores, pharmacies, and other essential services. Additionally, the park's future cafe will provide on-site dining options, adding to the convenience for campers.
Considering the current state and future development of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park West Georgia, local families have a few key points to consider:
- Be aware that some areas and amenities within the park are currently in need of updates and repairs.
- The availability of organized activities might vary depending on the time of year and day of the week, with more activities typically offered during peak season and weekends.
- The staff, particularly in the activity center, are highly praised for their enthusiasm and dedication to ensuring guests have a good time.
- Significant expansions are underway, which promise to bring new and improved facilities in the future.
For local residents looking for a family-oriented "camping near me" experience, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park West Georgia offers a unique blend of camping and planned activities, especially during peak season. The ongoing improvements suggest that the park has the potential to become an even more attractive destination in the future. Families with young children who value engaging activities and don't mind some current maintenance needs might find it a worthwhile visit, particularly if their stay aligns with the availability of the full activity schedule.
To make the most informed decision, local users should consider the timing of their potential visit. If traveling during off-peak times or weekdays, be prepared to potentially find fewer organized activities and some facilities that are not yet updated. However, the positive feedback regarding the staff and the anticipation of new amenities could still make for an enjoyable family getaway.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park West Georgia Reviews
There definitely needs to be updates around the park and a lot of broken things need to be fixed. That’s why I only gave 4 stars. I would’ve gave 5 if it weren’t for that. However, with that being said, my family and myself had a wonderful time. The reason our time was so wonderful was because of the lady in the activity center. She was in there by herself and we watched her running around like crazy the entire 3 days we were there doing all of the activities with the kids. She has the best attitude and she was very helpful. I hope you all realize how valuable she is to have there. She really does need some help in the activity center though because that’s a lot for one person to do and we only saw her doing it the entire time. She definitely needs a raise or something! We can definitely see ourselves visiting in the future again.
Apr 13, 2025 · Brandy FWe camped for a few days over spring break. There’s not much to do and the upkeep is kind of minimal. There is putt putt but the course needs work. There is a jumping pillow, a playground in need of some repairs and a swimming pool. The pools are not ready yet which is understandable with it being March. They did play a movie at night but there really isn’t much to do at all during the day. We’ve been here before in the summer and there were lots of activities like ceramics, tshirt tie dye, smores, etc. there were really isn’t any of that unless it’s a weekend which is kind of disappointing considering this place costs almost as much as a hotel. I will say that they are adding to the park. They are adding 100 acres (I think that’s what they said) and rvs will be in that area. New pool, amphitheater, cafe, store and new play area. This could be the reasons that the current one isn’t as upkept. We still enjoyed out stay but just be prepared that if you go during the week, during school months that you will need to find other things to do.
Mar 24, 2025 · Melissa ClarkWent for Easter. A member of staff off the clock rolled up smelling like weed. Strong!!! I could tell it was not just us who noticed. We have kids here so if you're gonna toke out maybe put your stuff away before coming to your workplace.
Apr 20, 2025 · Shadow GoldI never leave reviews, but this experience was so shockingly bad, I feel obligated to warn other families before they waste their time and money at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Bremen, Georgia. I booked this trip expecting fun, family memories. Instead, I left early, frustrated, and completely let down. The Only Good Thing? The Office Staff. They were kind, helpful, and honest. I spoke with one of them as we packed up early, and she admitted they get these same complaints all the time — but management doesn’t care. If management is reading this: your office staff deserves a raise. The rest of your operation needs a complete overhaul.FALSE ADVERTISING GALOREWhoever runs the website deserves an award — they managed to make this place look like a clean, fun family resort. But the truth? It’s trashed. Unsafe. Neglected. Completely mismanaged. There’s no way this park deserves even close to the 5 stars others have given it. I truly question the standards of those reviews.Every Attraction Was in Disrepair (or Dangerous)Mining Area – Covered with rotting OSB plywood where kids stand, a container was lying on the ground over a live drop cord to “protect” it from rain. $7.99 for one small bag of rocks. Total ripoff and a safety hazard.Propane Station – No barrier at all. I watched a young boy climb on it—this is right in the middle of a family campground.Mini-Golf Course – A complete joke. Broken walls on every hole. Missing parts that used to guide balls. Clubs were busted. Water hazards were full of nasty, smelly standing water. If your ball falls in, you’re reaching in. Tunnel features didn’t work. Kids couldn’t even play—we quit halfway through.Playground – Held together with scrap wood. Sharp corners. Zero upkeep. See photos.Amphitheater – Trashed. Uneven ground so bad you could twist your ankle trying to sit.Grounds – Rutted up so badly they laid down boards to walk. Looked like a construction site.Gaga Ball Pit – Falling apart. Uneven floor made it hard for kids to even run.Sand Pit – Full of trash. Clearly hasn’t been cleaned in a long time.Train Ride – Dismantled and dumped across several campsites. Loose wheels laying around. Not fenced off—just sitting out near where families walk.Retention Pond – In the middle of the park with huge gaps under the fence. Some gaps had random rebar shoved in. Again, major child hazard.Even around the main office – Just a total mess. Cleaning buckets, hoses, and tools lying around like someone gave up halfway through a job.Scheduled Events Were a Total DisasterYogi Bear Appearance (9:30 a.m. Pledge) – Didn’t show up until 10:38—only after I complained.Hayride (10:00 a.m.) – My kids and I arrived early to get a spot. 10:00 came and went. I asked at 10:08, they seemed surprised it was even time. The driver didn’t hook up the tractor until 10:20… then canceled it because of a few sprinkles. It never actually rained. My 3-year-old, who was so excited, had a meltdown—and we ended up inside the camper trying to calm him down.No Communication. No Rescheduling. No Effort.Facilities and LayoutCampsites – Way too close together. Absolutely no room to spread out. Felt packed in like sardines.Trash Everywhere – All around the park, including visible areas near the main office.Golf Carts & Cabins – Somehow, they have brand new golf carts and new cabins not even in use. Instead of fixing broken attractions, they keep adding more rental units and revenue generators—clearly trying to make more money without spending any on maintenance or guest safety. It’s a Management Problem – Top to BottomThis isn’t a staff issue—everyone I talked to said they’ve reported problems for months, and nothing is done. The place looks like they’re just milking money out of people and dumping it into expansions. The park feels like it’s being run as a cash grab or a money-laundering front, not a family-friendly campground.Final Words: Don’t Go.
Mar 30, 2025 · Daniel TaylorWe have been here many times but this was a complete disappointment. We paid the high price because when we booked there were many activities for our kids. They had NONE of those activities! They finally let kids do crafts on their own. They did show the movie at dark. The office never opened at the advertised time. App times, nor the time the schedule said they sent out the day before !! We don't feel the price we paid was anywhere close to the activities especially when the pool is closed in November the activities should be even more!!! We have advertised for this campground through word of mouth for years. I am so shocked!!!
