Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is a well-known franchise that typically focuses on providing a comprehensive family camping experience. Based on the available reviews, this particular location near Knightstown, IN, seems to align with that reputation in several aspects. One reviewer specifically praised the cleanliness of both the rented RV and the park itself, noting it as the "cleanest RV park we've been to." This emphasis on cleanliness is a significant factor for many families when choosing a campground. The availability of RV rentals directly through the park adds another layer of convenience for those who may not own an RV but still want to enjoy the camping experience.
The environment of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Parks is generally geared towards family fun and outdoor activities. While the specific natural environment of the Knightstown location isn't extensively detailed in these brief reviews, the mention of "activities" suggests that the park likely offers various recreational opportunities within its grounds. These could range from swimming pools and playgrounds to themed events and outdoor sports. The focus tends to be on creating a lively and engaging atmosphere rather than a secluded natural retreat.
In terms of services and features, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Knightstown appears to offer well-maintained facilities. The positive comment about the cleanliness of the RV rentals and the park indicates a commitment to hygiene. The mention of "activities" being "a lot of fun and well handled by the staff" suggests an organized program of events and recreational options for guests, likely catering to children and families. The availability of RV rentals on-site is a significant service, providing a hassle-free way for families to enjoy RV camping without the commitment of ownership. The staff is also highlighted as "very kind, cheerful, and helpful," contributing to a positive guest experience.
A key feature of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Parks is typically the planned activities and entertainment, often themed around the Yogi Bear characters. While the specific activities at the Knightstown location aren't listed in these reviews, it's reasonable to expect a range of options designed to engage children and families, such as arts and crafts, games, character meet-and-greets, and possibly themed weekends. The positive feedback about the activities being "well handled by the staff" indicates that these programs are likely organized and supervised effectively.
The staff at this Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park seems to be a strong asset, with one reviewer specifically commending their kindness, cheerfulness, and helpfulness. Positive interactions with staff can significantly enhance a family vacation, making guests feel welcome and well-cared for. This positive feedback contrasts with the negative experience of the guest who had issues with a reservation refund, highlighting a potential inconsistency in customer service depending on the situation and the department involved.
Promotional aspects of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Parks often include themed weekends, special events, and the overall appeal of the Yogi Bear brand itself, which resonates with families. The availability of RV rentals could also be considered a promotional feature, attracting families who want to try RV camping without a long-term commitment. The positive review emphasizing cleanliness and fun activities serves as organic promotion, encouraging other families in the "camping near me" search to consider this location.
However, it's important to acknowledge the negative feedback regarding the reservation fee refund. The reviewer's experience of being "ghosted" after canceling well in advance due to a serious family situation raises concerns about the park's policies and communication regarding cancellations and refunds. While this seems to be an isolated incident reported in these two reviews, it's a point that potential customers might want to consider and perhaps inquire about directly when making reservations, especially during peak seasons like the 4th of July weekend mentioned.
In conclusion, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park near Knightstown, IN, appears to be a family-oriented campground that offers clean facilities, engaging activities, and a friendly staff, making it a potentially excellent choice for families looking for "camping near me." The convenience of on-site RV rentals further enhances its appeal. However, the reported issue with the reservation fee refund highlights the importance of clarifying cancellation policies and ensuring clear communication with the management regarding financial matters. Despite this concern, the positive experiences shared by another reviewer regarding cleanliness and enjoyable activities suggest that many families have positive stays at this location. Potential visitors should weigh the positive feedback against the reported issue and perhaps seek further clarification on reservation policies before booking.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Reviews
Canceled 4th of July reservation 4 months in advance due to direct family member in ICU for two months and was ghosted about getting $25 res fee returned. Four phone calls and a few emails. Nothing from them. Lady on the phone was nice and understanding but she had to forward to management and they ignore me. $25 fee to them for absolutely nothing and will surely fill that holiday weekend. Pure greed.
Apr 06, 2025 · Kevin MWe rented a RV during our weekend stay here. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the RV and the park. Definitely the cleanest RV park we've been to. The activities were a lot of fun and well handled by the staff. Everyone we met and spoke with from the staff was very kind, cheerful, and helpful. I highly recommend!
Oct 08, 2024 · M JWe just got back from a 5 day stay. The kids did not want to leave! Where to start? The grounds were the cleanest we’ve been to. All of the employees were so nice and hospitable. Although we were there end of season there was still so much to keep the kids busy. From 8 to 19 a good time was had by all. The kids fished, swam, jumped on the inflatable, threw the balls and axes, did tie dye shirts, painted ceramics, went paddle boating, mined for gems and fossils, and had smores by the fire. You can tell there is pride in ownership here! We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to return! Thank you wonderful staff for being so accommodating and patient with our youngest!
Aug 16, 2024 · Debora McDonaghBest Jellystone campground all around! The grounds are kept pristine, the owners are so friendly and accommodating, every staff member is so nice and personable. Cute camp store, awesome camp sites with good space. The pool is very nice. All activities are fun and the bears are very engaging and fun. We really love all the activities they do here, it really does make it feel like a vacation. After going to other Jellystones this one takes the cake and will be our yearly family trip together. We never want to leave! Thank you for the great memories!
