Zephyr Cove RV Park and Campground Reviews
We love camping here in the winter and early spring! There are very few other campers, especially on weekdays. I can’t speak for the facilities as we have our own, but the hookups (water & electric) work well, as does the wifi. The location is great: Lake Tahoe is across the street and it’s a quick drive to the Nevada side of Heavenly. It’s also close to shopping, restaurants, and casinos without being in the hustle & bustle of South Lake Tahoe or Carson City.My only complaint is litter and dog poop, but I blame other campers for that. We adhere to the campsite rule “leave it better than you found it” and wish others were as conscientious.
Apr 07, 2025 · KH KelloggThe campground was sparsely occupied given the season. We arrived late but we already had an assigned site so everything went extremely smoothly, and we were very happy with our experience.
Apr 18, 2025 · Enrico MasiniWe arrived around 6pm to find the check-in cabin at the entrance closed, with a note directing us to the gift shop across the road. The staff there checked us in and assigned our RV site. The restroom and shower facilities are superbly equipped, with hot water, indoor heating, plenty of space, and cleanliness.Tall trees naturally separate each site, providing a quiet environment during our stay. Zephyr Cove is just across the street, within walking distance. It's a fantastic place for van camping. Good location. Price is high, although it does come with great facilities and hookups.
Jun 03, 2024 · Grace LeeWe arrived and checked in at the Lodge/gift shop/restaurant across the street which gave me a chance to grab a menu and a sneak peak at the gift shop. Beautifully maintained part of the forest, clean tents and hike-in wilderness camping. Our RV site was less congested than some but no complaints. Dog beach was available but the beach was small due to high water. Fabulous laundry facilities allowed me to get a couple loads done at reasonable cost. Dinner at the lodge was delicious and the drinks at the dog friendly sunset bar were pricey but staff was very fun! Staff in general were friendly and helpful!! A must stay. Best area on the sunset side of Lake Tahoe!!
Jun 04, 2024 · Chris ConroyWould 100% stay here again & again. Stay here for the location, this park is adjacent to the Tahoe Basin National Forest so you have access across the street (5 min walk max) to a beautiful beach and trail along Lake Tahoe some paved, some sand, some still natural enough to make your own trail and all breathtaking and peaceful in October. I like the NV side of the lake for its natural state and trails. The campground in my opinion was exceptional, clean beautiful and perfectly located. I have 34 TT with 2 slides and felt my pull through spot was plenty spacious with a deep fire ring and a rubber coated picnic table which I prefer. I used the showers, laundry facilities and bathrooms and all were not only clean but nice. Actual shower rooms with doors and seats, even the bathrooms had a full door. The laundry room was large, I did 3 loads and the machines worked great. We also ate at the restaurant twice so far and I highly recommend the Ultimate Grilled Cheese, but everything we ate was delicious. We also took the lake cruise on MS Dixie II, worth it for sure. Now on to the gift shop/store, well stocked with drinks, fire wood and souvenirs. We shopped in South Lake CA several times and the souvenirs at Zephyr Cove Lodge were not only better quality but in the case where some items were the same, Zephyr Cove had better pricing. I’ve stayed at 4 RV parks in the last 30 days and Zephyr Cove RV & Campground was hands down the best for all the reasons above. Also our cell signal with AT&T was able to stream movies and calls, bonus! Thank you to all the employees at this park for being so nice and creating such a special experience for us.
