Arcadia Village Country Club Introduce
If you are a local user seeking a mobile home community in Arcadia, Florida, and your search under the category of "RV parks near me" has led you to consider long-term residential options, Arcadia Village Country Club, located at 2692 FL-70 #532, Arcadia, FL 34266, USA, presents a community with both appealing features and significant concerns, according to recent resident reviews. It is crucial for prospective residents to weigh these aspects carefully.
One recent buyer, who purchased their home in late December, expresses strong positive feelings about Arcadia Village Country Club, stating, "We love it here." A significant advantage highlighted is its convenient location directly across the street from major retailers like Walmart and Publix. This accessibility to shopping is a substantial benefit for daily errands and needs. Additionally, the ability to use a golf cart to shop at Winn-Dixie further enhances the ease of living and transportation within the community and the immediate surroundings. The reviewer also praises the neighborly atmosphere, noting, "All our neighbors are friendly and helpful," which contributes to a welcoming social environment.
Another resident appreciates the natural surroundings, mentioning, "We have a great backyard with a garden and nature preserve." This suggests that some properties within Arcadia Village Country Club offer private outdoor spaces that back onto or are adjacent to natural areas, providing residents with opportunities for gardening, enjoying nature, and potentially greater privacy. This connection to nature can be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful and aesthetically pleasing living environment, potentially offering a different appeal than typical "RV parks near me."
However, the positive experiences are counterbalanced by more critical and concerning feedback from other residents. One long-term resident of 13 years expresses significant disappointment with the changes they have witnessed in the community. They describe a past where the village was "run" by a collaborative effort of residents who worked together to make it function well. This sense of resident ownership and cooperation seems to have diminished, with the reviewer stating that "now the office manager micromanages everything" and that "the HOA has minimal authority if any." This shift in management style and the perceived disempowerment of the Homeowners Association are significant concerns regarding the governance and direction of the community.
The same long-term resident also notes that "new residents are not welcomed appropriately," which contradicts the positive experience of the recent buyer regarding neighborly friendliness. This discrepancy suggests a potential divide in the community's social dynamics or a change in the welcoming culture over time. The reviewer strongly advises potential buyers to "do your homework" and cautions, "Don’t fool yourself." They express personal disappointment, stating that what was once a "beautiful place" where they had planned to spend their retirement is now a letdown, as the "once laid back country setting with the owners wanting their residents to enjoy their golden years is no longer a fact." The reviewer concludes by questioning the high number of properties currently for sale, implying a potential underlying issue within the community.
Another very critical, albeit shorter, review echoes concerns about the management, stating, "Yikes! Unless you say good things one gets reamed by the management. Can't handle the facts." This suggests a potentially authoritarian or retaliatory management style that discourages open feedback or criticism. The reviewer also raises questions about the resident screening process and final sales approvals, both of which are controlled by management, implying a lack of transparency or fairness in these processes. This negative sentiment towards management is a serious consideration for prospective residents.
Based on the name "Arcadia Village Country Club," we can infer some potential amenities and features beyond the location and social aspects mentioned in the reviews. The "Country Club" part of the name often suggests recreational facilities such as:
- A golf course or access to golfing facilities.
- A clubhouse with social areas, event spaces, and possibly dining options.
- Swimming pool(s) and other sports facilities like tennis or shuffleboard courts.
- Organized social activities and events for residents.
However, the reviews do not explicitly confirm the presence or quality of these amenities, and the long-term resident's description of a shift away from a "laid back country setting" might imply that the "Country Club" aspect is either not as prominent as the name suggests or has changed over time.
The environment of Arcadia Village Country Club appears to be a mix of convenient access to commercial areas and the potential for natural surroundings in individual properties. The proximity to Walmart, Publix, and Winn-Dixie is a significant advantage for daily living. The mention of a nature preserve in some backyards suggests that parts of the community offer a connection to green spaces. However, the overall atmosphere and management style seem to be points of concern for some long-term residents.
The "Village" part of the name typically implies a close-knit community, which aligns with the positive experience of the recent buyer regarding friendly neighbors. However, the long-term resident's comments about new residents not being welcomed appropriately and the general disappointment with the community's direction suggest that this sense of village unity may be eroding.
Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in learning about property availability, pricing, lot fees, or any special offers should contact Arcadia Village Country Club directly at (800) 538-2590 or +1 800-538-2590. It would be prudent to inquire about the current management policies, the role of the HOA, and the overall atmosphere of the community based on recent resident experiences.
In conclusion, Arcadia Village Country Club in Arcadia, FL, offers the significant advantages of a convenient location near shopping and a potentially friendly neighborly environment, with some properties boasting access to nature preserves. However, there are serious concerns raised by long-term residents regarding a perceived decline in community management, limited HOA authority, unwelcoming attitudes towards new residents, and an overall disappointment with the current living experience compared to the past. For local users seeking a mobile home park and considering options beyond typical "RV parks near me," Arcadia Village Country Club presents a complex picture that necessitates thorough investigation and direct engagement with current residents and management before making a decision.

May 23, 2023 · Jim PriceYikes! Unless you say good things one gets reamed by the management. Can't handle the facts. Who you may ask screens the residents? Management. Who approves final sales ? Management .The village will not bounce back you have placed the last nail so to speak of once was a village.I have lived in this community for 13 years and have seen many changes. It was a really nice community of residents who "ran" the village. We worked together to make it work. Now the office manager micromanages everything. The HOA has minimal authority if any. New residents are not welcomed appropriately. Don’t fool yourself do your homework. It’s a beautiful place that I had planned to spend the rest of my life in but is now a disappointment. The once laid back country setting with the owners wanting their residents to enjoy their golden years is no longer a fact. Wonder why there are so many for sale.
