Craig's RV Park office Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Arcadia, Florida area, Craig's RV Park, located at 7895 NE Cubitis Ave, Arcadia, FL 34266, USA, presents a complex picture based on recent and past customer reviews. It is essential for local users to consider both the positive aspects highlighted by some visitors and the significant concerns raised by others to make an informed decision.
One reviewer who stayed for a couple of months during a recent winter season described Craig's RV Park as "well maintained" with a "friendly and accommodating" staff. This positive experience also included appreciation for the park's amenities, such as a "great rec room" hosting bingo, dances, karaoke, and a weekly church service. The monthly bluegrass band performances in the field and the presence of a walking/biking trail, along with the park being "very walkable," were also noted as positive features. This suggests that at one point, Craig's RV Park offered a range of social activities and opportunities for outdoor recreation, potentially appealing to those seeking an engaging community atmosphere within "RV parks near me."
However, this positive review also mentioned a significant drawback: the internet service. The reviewer found it necessary to purchase a mobile hotspot from Verizon due to the network being "constantly saturated." This indicates a potentially unreliable or inadequate Wi-Fi infrastructure within the park, which is a crucial consideration for many travelers and long-term residents who rely on internet access.
In stark contrast to this positive account, a more recent and detailed review from an individual who had been at the park for two-and-a-half years paints a very different picture. This long-term resident states that while positive reviews may have been accurate in the past ("maybe two years ago"), the park has "steadily gone downhill and rapidly so" and is currently a "miserable experience and unlivable at best." This significant shift in the park's condition and atmosphere is a serious concern for anyone considering a stay at Craig's RV Park.
The primary issues raised in this critical review include significant noise disturbances from "lots of screaming children running wild and unattended at all hours," making it impossible to find peace anywhere in the park. Additionally, the presence of "dozens of transient construction workers" who are described as "obnoxious," "drinking alcohol and partying until midnight or later," further contributes to the disruptive environment. These issues directly contradict the earlier positive mention of a pleasant and walkable park.
Furthermore, this long-term resident reports security concerns, stating that "since their arrival people have reported things being stolen from their sites." The fact that management has been notified of these noise and theft issues but has "done absolutely nothing to reconcile any of our concerns" is a serious indictment of the park's management and their responsiveness to resident complaints. This lack of action is a significant red flag for potential visitors seeking a safe and well-managed "RV park near me."
The critical review also alleges "misleading advertising" by the park. Specifically, the reviewer claims "there is no internet availability at all," contradicting the earlier reviewer's experience of saturated but presumably existing service. This discrepancy highlights potential inconsistencies in the park's offerings or a further deterioration of services. Additionally, the reviewer strongly criticizes the park's pool, stating, "that's like calling a puddle a lake. I'd be ashamed to call that a pool if I were them." This suggests that a key advertised amenity may be significantly substandard.
Based on this detailed negative review, the overall environment of Craig's RV Park has reportedly deteriorated significantly. What was once a "peaceful and quiet" park now appears to be characterized by noise, a lack of supervision of children, disruptive behavior from some long-term guests, and potential security issues. The physical appearance is also criticized, with the reviewer stating, "there is nothing attractive whatsoever about this park. In fact, it looks somewhat trashy."
The services and features of Craig's RV Park, based on the conflicting reviews, are also questionable. While a rec room with activities and a walking trail were mentioned positively in the past, the current state of the internet service and the condition of the pool are significant concerns. The alleged misleading advertising regarding internet availability further erodes trust in the park's claims.
The departure of many campers, as mentioned by the long-term resident ("Many of the campers have left, as I have, or are in the process of making arrangements to leave"), suggests a widespread dissatisfaction with the current conditions at Craig's RV Park. This exodus is a strong indicator that the issues are pervasive and impacting the overall living experience.
Currently, there is no promotional information available, and given the serious concerns raised in the more recent review, potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" should exercise extreme caution when considering Craig's RV Park. It is strongly recommended to seek services elsewhere, as advised by the long-term resident, unless significant improvements have been made and can be verified through recent, unbiased feedback.
In conclusion, Craig's RV Park in Arcadia, FL, presents a stark contrast between past positive experiences and significant current issues reported by a long-term resident. While it may have once offered a well-maintained environment with friendly staff and engaging amenities, recent feedback indicates a severe decline in the park's quality of life, citing noise disturbances, security concerns, misleading advertising, and unresponsive management. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" are strongly advised to thoroughly investigate the current conditions and recent reviews from multiple sources before considering a stay at Craig's RV Park.

Craig's RV Park office Reviews
We stayed for a couple months this winter. The park is well maintained. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They have a great rec room where they play bingo, have dances and karaoke, and a weekly church service. They host a bluegrass band once a month in the field. There's a walking/biking trail and the park itself is very walkable. The only drawback was the Internet service. We had to buy a mobile hotspot from Verizon upon arrival and the network is constantly saturated.
Apr 20, 2025 · Tom YoukersI have been at this park for two-and-a-half years. The positive reviews were accurate maybe two years ago, but this park has steadily gone downhill and rapidly so. For quite some time now this park has been a miserable experience and unlivable at best. The park has lots of screaming children running wild and unattended at all hours. There isn't a place anywhere in the park where you can escape the sound of screaming and yelling children. Additionally, there are dozens of transient construction workers staying in the park and they seem intent on being obnoxious, drinking alcohol and partying until midnight or later. Moreover, since their arrival people have reported things being stolen from their sites. Management has been notified of these and other issues, but they've done absolutely nothing to reconcile any of our concerns. The park misleads people as well in their advertising. First of all, there is no internet availability at all, so if you want or need internet, you'll have to bring your own. Secondly, they say they have a pool. Ha, that's like calling a puddle a lake. I'd be ashamed to call that a pool if I were them. Bottom line ... there is nothing attractive whatsoever about this park. In fact, it looks somewhat trashy. It's only appeal two-and-a-half years ago was that it was peaceful and quiet. Well, it hasn't been peaceful or quiet in a very long time. Many of the campers have left, as I have, or are in the process of making arrangements to leave. Still management does nothing to resolve these ongoing issues. I will never stay here again as many of my friends who've left will never return either. If you enjoy screaming, unattended children running wild ... if you like obnoxious drunks disturbing what little quiet there was ... if you like things coming-up missing, then Craig's is perfect for you. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend anyone considering this park to seek services elsewhere.
Apr 30, 2025 · Doug UrquhartMy parents have been visiting this park for many years, and it's consistently a great experience. The owners are fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the park itself is always clean. There are plenty of activities available—bingo, food trucks, a laundromat, and more. However, I must address a significant concern regarding a recent addition to the team, Miranda. Her approach can be quite off-putting. Instead of treating long-time residents who consistently pay their bills with respect, she tends to talk down to them. My own interactions with her, particularly over the phone while trying to embark on my retirement journey, have been frustrating. This behavior is unacceptable, and I believe it reflects poorly on the management.Vicky needs to recognize how Miranda's attitude affects both residents and potential newcomers. Good customer service is essential, and we cannot afford to lose dedicated individuals who have been part of this community for years while pushing away newcomers. If you find yourself in the office and Miranda is there, I highly recommend returning at a later time when Christy, Kathie, or Jessica are available—they genuinely treat you like family. While it's reassuring that Miranda isn't always behind the counter, her tendency to exert unnecessary power in her communications with residents is concerning. It is crucial for Vicky to take action before the residents start leaving due to this negative atmosphere. It’s vital for the park’s community and future that we maintain a welcoming and respectful environment. Rumor around the park they (Miranda and her husband) are miserable here and going back to SC. Hopefully sooner than later.
