Avenger RV Park Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in Sweetwater, Texas, Avenger RV Park, located at 1711 Bowie St, Sweetwater, TX 79556, USA, presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. Understanding both the positive and negative experiences reported by others is crucial when considering this location for your RV accommodation needs.
One review offers high praise for the staff at Avenger RV Park, specifically mentioning Bobbie and Dalton who reportedly went "above and beyond" in their service. The reviewer wished they could leave more than the maximum number of stars, indicating exceptional satisfaction with the staff's helpfulness. This positive feedback suggests that some guests have experienced outstanding customer service at this park. Additionally, this reviewer highlighted the presence of fenced-in campsites, providing a "decent sized yard" that is beneficial for families with children or those traveling with pets. The added security and private outdoor space could be a significant advantage for many RV travelers. Furthermore, the convenience of having grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance of the park is noted as a positive feature, potentially reducing the need for frequent vehicle use and offering easy access to essential amenities.
In stark contrast, another review expresses significant dissatisfaction with Avenger RV Park, labeling it a "shitty RV park all the way around" and suggesting it "should be condemned." This strongly negative assessment raises serious concerns about the overall quality and management of the park. The reviewer alleges that the park is "overpriced" and that "everything is off the books cash only," which could be a red flag regarding transparency and financial practices. They also claim to have experienced a sudden and substantial increase in their rate, being quoted $520 for two weeks after previously paying $200 for the same duration. This inconsistency in pricing and the alleged cash-only policy warrant careful consideration.
Furthermore, the negative review describes the park as "dirty" and "not maintained," directly contradicting the positive impression one might get from the other review. The reviewer also mentions a specific issue with a gate that was supposed to be fixed upon their arrival but was never addressed, indicating a lack of follow-through on maintenance requests. The manager's alleged acknowledgment that the park is "crappy" further reinforces the negative assessment of the property's condition and upkeep.
Considering these two diametrically opposed reviews, it is difficult to form a definitive and objective picture of Avenger RV Park. The positive review highlights exceptional staff, fenced yards, and convenient proximity to amenities, which are undoubtedly attractive features for many seeking "RV parks near me." However, the negative review raises serious red flags concerning pricing practices, maintenance standards, the overall cleanliness and condition of the park, and the responsiveness of management to reported issues.
For local users in Sweetwater, TX, searching for "RV parks near me," Avenger RV Park presents a dilemma. The potential for friendly and helpful staff, secure and family/pet-friendly campsites with private yards, and walkable access to local conveniences are significant benefits. However, the allegations of overpricing, a cash-only payment system, poor maintenance, a dirty environment, and unresolved maintenance issues cannot be ignored. The extreme negativity of one reviewer's experience suggests that there may be significant inconsistencies in the quality of service and the condition of the park.
Given this conflicting information, prospective guests should exercise considerable caution when considering Avenger RV Park. It would be prudent to seek additional reviews from other sources to determine if there is a consistent pattern of positive or negative experiences. Contacting the park directly at (325) 338-8445 or +1 325-338-8445 to inquire about current rates, payment policies, the availability and condition of campsites (specifically regarding fencing and yard size), and their maintenance procedures would also be a wise step. Asking about the gate mentioned in the negative review might also provide insight into the park's responsiveness to maintenance needs.
Due to the limited and contradictory nature of the provided reviews, it is not possible to offer a comprehensive description of the overall environment, all available services and features, or any specific promotional information for Avenger RV Park. While one review mentions fenced yards and proximity to amenities, details about other common RV park features such as hookups (water, electricity, sewer), restroom and shower facilities, laundry services, Wi-Fi availability, or recreational areas are not provided. Similarly, no promotional offers are mentioned.
In conclusion, for those in Sweetwater, TX, looking for "RV parks near me," Avenger RV Park offers some potentially attractive features like fenced yards and a convenient location. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding pricing, payment methods, maintenance, cleanliness, and management responsiveness. Local users should carefully weigh these contrasting reports and conduct thorough personal inquiries before making a decision about staying at Avenger RV Park.

Avenger RV Park Reviews
Staff was absolutely amazing!!! Wish I could leave more stars. Bobbie and Dalton went above and beyond for our family!! The camp ground was fenced in so we had our own decent sized yard perfect for kids to play or if you have pets. Grocery stores and restaurants are within walking distance of the park. If we’re ever in Sweetwater again will definitely be booking with them.
