Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Arcadia, Louisiana area that offer a blend of natural beauty, family-friendly amenities, and a unique local experience? Look no further than Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park, located at 20550 LA-9, Arcadia, LA 71001, USA. This park provides a serene and welcoming environment, highlighted by its three fishing ponds and proximity to local attractions like the Bonnie and Clyde Museum. Under new ownership since 2021, Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park is now a dedicated "FAMILY PLACE," offering a refreshed and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
The environment at Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park is frequently described as "beautiful" and "serene." The presence of three ponds offers a picturesque backdrop and provides guests with the opportunity to enjoy fishing. The park is also noted for its tranquility, with one visitor appreciating that there weren't too many people, contributing to a "nice, quiet and serene" atmosphere. This makes it an ideal location for those seeking a peaceful retreat and a chance to connect with nature. Adding to the natural charm, guests have reported sightings of ducks, deer, and squirrels, enhancing the overall outdoor experience.
Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park offers essential amenities to ensure a comfortable stay for RV travelers. The bathroom facilities are well-equipped, featuring five shower stalls and five bathroom stalls, which is ample for the number of guests reported. While one visitor noted that "a lot of the RV sites aren't exactly level and it took us a bit to get things leveled out," this seems to be the primary infrastructural concern mentioned. Despite this, the overall appeal of the park and its other features appears to outweigh this minor inconvenience for many visitors.
A unique aspect of Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park is its connection to the "Trade Days" events held on the third weekend of each month. While one visitor missed this experience, it suggests that during these weekends, the park transforms into a vibrant hub of activity, potentially offering opportunities for shopping, local crafts, and community interaction. This dual nature – a peaceful RV park during off-peak times and a lively event venue during Trade Days – provides a diverse appeal to different types of visitors.
The hospitality at Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park is consistently praised. One visitor who arrived late in the evening found the owner to be "very kind and accommodating." This personal touch and willingness to assist guests contribute significantly to a positive experience. Furthermore, the owner's friendly interactions, such as introducing guests to his pet turkey, Jerry, add a unique and memorable element to the stay.
For families and pet owners, Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park is described as "family friendly" and "pet friendly." Guests are assured not to be worried about the "big yellow dog," who is reported to be "absolutely friendly and loves kids." Her welcoming behavior, including barking to greet and then affectionately following guests, highlights the park's inclusive and relaxed atmosphere. The dog's gentle nature with children further reinforces its suitability for families traveling with young ones.
In terms of pricing, one visitor noted a discrepancy between an online listing and the actual rate, which was $40 per night plus taxes, slightly higher than the $24 initially seen. While this highlights the importance of confirming rates directly with the park, the overall experience seems to have been positive enough for the visitor despite the unexpected cost. It is always recommended to call Wade, as suggested by one reviewer, to "reserve your spot" and confirm the current pricing.
The positive reviews collectively paint a picture of a welcoming and enjoyable RV park with a unique charm. The combination of natural beauty with the fishing ponds, the friendly and accommodating owner, the family and pet-friendly atmosphere, and the occasional vibrant Trade Days events make Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park a distinctive option within the "RV parks near me" category in the Arcadia, LA area. The recent change in ownership in 2021 and the emphasis on it being a "FAMILY PLACE" suggest a renewed focus on creating a positive and welcoming environment for all guests, moving away from whatever the "old owners had."
For local users seeking an RV park that offers more than just a place to park, Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park provides a unique experience. Its beautiful setting with fishing ponds offers opportunities for relaxation and recreation. The friendly owner and the welcoming atmosphere, including the family and pet-friendly policies, contribute to a comfortable stay. The proximity to the Bonnie and Clyde Museum adds a local historical interest for visitors. While potential guests should be aware of the possibility of uneven RV sites and should confirm the current nightly rate by calling Wade at (318) 547-8733 or +1 318-547-8733, the overall positive feedback suggests that Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park is a worthwhile consideration for your next RV adventure in Louisiana. Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days & RV Park Reviews
We found this place on Google as we were looking for a place to stay for the night in our rv. We like that it was close to the Bonnie and Clyde museum that we could check out the following day. The owner of the place was very kind and accommodating as we arrived a bit later in the evening. We saw on the RV parking app that this place was charging $24 a night and we learned that that was inaccurate. It's actually $40 a night. Slightly more than that with all the taxes and all that. The place is beautiful as it has three ponds that you can fish at. The bathrooms had five shower stalls and 5 bathroom stalls. There wasn't too many people here so that made it nice, quiet and serene. The owner of this place even took us to meet his pet turkey, Jerry, which was fun. We missed the trade days weekend experience but it was still a great time. My only complaint would be that a lot of the RV sites aren't exactly level and it took us a bit to get things leveled out.
May 23, 2024 · Ashley DSunsets awesome. Events 3rd weekend of the month. 3 fishing ponds. RV park is quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. Ducks; Deer and squirrels are a Plus. If you are staying nearby or passing through, the RVs are definitely premium all around! Call Wade to reserve your spot!Family friendly, pet friendly and don’t be worried about the big yellow dog, she is absolutely friendly and loves kids. She barks when you come to greet, she likes to meet. She’ll bark and follow you in like a leader. Just pet her and she’ll sit with you until watching over you. Have kids? She is absolutely wonderful with kids. This place is under new ownership since 2021. This is a FAMILY PLACE! NOTHING CLOSE TO WHAT THE OLD OWNERS HAD.
May 25, 2024 · Lily LLGThis place is under New ownership. (Wade) Every third weekend of every month, businesses come together, like in the old days. The crew is the best. Wade, smiley and the Monroe looking fellow. Thanks for all your help with our truck and trailer.
Feb 18, 2023 · Shannonda Like CanadaWe boondocked here for 1 night. Only about 5 of the sites are numbered, not the one we reserved of course. No staff came out to assist or even answered their phones. So we stayed in the middle of the grass?! Would not recommend, even for a 1 night boondock.
Apr 04, 2025 · Kylie HatchGreat folks! Rebuilding what others ruined while it was vacant before they purchased it. Beautiful surroundings with a pond and some ducks too. Only 4 miles off I-20 through the cozy little town of Arcadia. Best of luck Wade and family! We'll be back! Steve & Ana from Del Rio, TX.
