Broadview Communities Raceway Estates Introduce
If you are searching for 'RV Parks Near Me' in the Darlington, South Carolina area, Broadview Communities Raceway Estates, located at 1500 Thomas Dr, Darlington, SC 29532, USA, is a mobile home park that might be relevant to your search, particularly if you are considering a long-term stay. However, it is crucial to carefully consider the information available from online reviews to gain an understanding of the current living conditions and management practices at this property.
Based on recent customer feedback, the environment at Broadview Communities Raceway Estates appears to be facing some significant challenges. Multiple residents have highlighted the severely damaged condition of the roads within the community. One reviewer notes that the potholes are so extensive that people are driving onto residents' yards to avoid them, even causing damage to water company equipment. This suggests a potentially unsafe and poorly maintained infrastructure for both residents and visitors with RVs, which could lead to vehicle damage and difficulties navigating the park.
Another environmental concern raised by a resident is the issue of trash disposal. It is reported that some residents are throwing trash along the fields, negatively impacting the overall appearance and upkeep of the property. This lack of community-wide adherence to proper waste management could detract from the living experience and the aesthetic appeal of the park.
In terms of services and maintenance, the reviews indicate potential shortcomings. One resident who had been living in the community since August reported that not all work orders were completed despite being marked as such. Additionally, items left behind by previous tenants were allegedly not removed. Another significant issue mentioned was the removal of a smoke detector before purchase and its apparent lack of replacement. These instances suggest potential inefficiencies or a lack of thoroughness in the management's handling of maintenance requests and property upkeep, which could be a concern for new or prospective residents with RVs requiring specific maintenance or site preparations.
The features of Broadview Communities Raceway Estates, as perceived by the residents who provided feedback, are overshadowed by the concerns regarding infrastructure and management. The damaged roads are a significant negative feature, potentially affecting the mobility and safety of RVs within the park. The lack of mention of specific RV amenities, such as dedicated RV parking pads, hookup availability (water, electricity, sewer), or communal facilities (laundry, restrooms, recreational areas), in the provided reviews suggests that these might be either basic, limited, or not noteworthy enough to be mentioned amidst the more pressing issues. The name "Raceway Estates" might suggest a proximity to a local speedway, which could be a feature of interest to some, but the reviews do not elaborate on this aspect or its potential impact on the community environment (e.g., noise levels).
Promotional information is not included in the provided reviews. One resident mentioned an increase in lot rent but expressed the opinion that the management of the grounds did not justify this increase, given the observed issues with road maintenance and overall upkeep. This suggests that while there might be costs associated with residing at Broadview Communities Raceway Estates, at least some residents feel that the value received does not align with the price. Potential RV residents considering a long-term stay would need to inquire directly about the current lot rental rates and any additional fees or services included.
The management of Broadview Communities Raceway Estates is a central point of concern in the reviews. One resident specifically commends "Ms Shannon M" as being "amazing," suggesting that there might be individual staff members who are helpful and appreciated by the residents. However, the overall sentiment regarding management is negative. One reviewer stated that "promises have been made but NOTHING has been done" regarding necessary work on their mobile home after moving in during September. This lack of follow-through on commitments is a serious concern. Furthermore, the same reviewer reported difficulties in contacting management, stating that "no one wants to answer the lines when you call," and when they do, assurances of prompt assistance are not met. The delay in assistance was also highlighted by another resident as "a bit challenging," especially with concerns for the elderly in the community. These issues point to potential problems with communication, responsiveness, and the overall effectiveness of the management team.
The impact of the poor road conditions on external services is also noteworthy. The resident who moved in September mentioned that their therapists and CNAs were reluctant to travel on the roads due to the damage to their vehicles. This highlights how the infrastructure issues can affect not only the residents' daily lives but also their access to essential services. The comment that management seems more proactive in delivering rent notices than addressing maintenance concerns further underscores the perceived priorities of the management.
Given the significant concerns raised in these recent reviews regarding the condition of the roads, trash management, uncompleted work orders, communication challenges with management, and the perceived lack of value for the increased lot rent, local users searching 'RV Parks Near Me' should approach Broadview Communities Raceway Estates with considerable caution. While the park might offer a location in Darlington, SC, suitable for long-term stays, the reported living conditions and management practices appear to be areas of serious concern for current residents. Potential RV residents should prioritize obtaining detailed information directly from the management regarding the current state of the infrastructure, maintenance procedures, available amenities for RVs, and the overall policies of the community. Visiting the property in person to assess the conditions firsthand would also be a prudent step before making any commitment.
In conclusion, Broadview Communities Raceway Estates currently faces significant challenges related to its infrastructure, particularly the condition of its roads, as well as concerns regarding waste management and the responsiveness of the management to maintenance issues and resident needs. While the park might offer long-term residency options for RVs in Darlington, SC, the negative feedback from recent residents suggests that potential newcomers should conduct thorough due diligence and seek direct assurances from the management regarding the resolution of these issues before considering this community as their long-term RV destination. The commendable mention of "Ms Shannon M" indicates that there might be positive aspects within the management team, but the overarching concerns raised by multiple residents cannot be ignored.

Broadview Communities Raceway Estates Reviews
The only main issues here is the roads are so damaged that people are now driving into residents yards to avoids the holes. I’ve noticed the water company equipment is being damaged because it’s being drove over to avoid the pot holes. Residents are throwing trash along the fields which makes it looks really bad for the property. I’ve been here since August, not all work orders were completed but marked off. Things from previous tenants was left outside that hasn’t been removed. Smoked detector was removed and not replaced before purchasing. The lot rent was increased but the management of the grounds itself I believe wasn’t worth the increase. The delay for assistance is a bit challenging for me. I can only imagine how it is for the elderly out here. Maybe the owners should come view the property to get a better understanding of the residents view point. By the way Ms Shannon M is amazing!!!!
Mar 05, 2025 · Tamara HawkinsMoved here in September, work had needed to be done to the mobile home. Promises have been made but NOTHING has been done. No one wants to answer the lines when you call and when they do answer they tell you someone will be coming out to you soon. No one has come to put the siding up as of yet. Water is coming in and has the floor getting soft. The roads are horrible, I have therapists and CNA's that come out and no one wants to come on the roads because of the conditions. They say it is damaging their vehicles. They can come and put rent notices but not talk to you. This is sooooo sad. This could be a good place to live if management would put in a little effort.
Nov 08, 2024 · Marshanette GrahamThis trailer park is ok the road is very bad, was advised that they were going to fix it but it hasn't been fix yet. I have live here for 4 years and when it change from raceway to Broadview communities the park has went down alot. Trying to get in contact with someone is ridiculous. I have someone helping me with my rent they will not communicate with the facility to give them the documents they need. It's sad. Rent at your own risk. I prefer someone who will communicate with me especially if I have been a tenant for 4 years.
