If you want to keep your money and sanity, do not move here. I moved here originally in 2015 after a lot of back and forth with the manager after I bought a used trailer in the park. Finally moved in and had numerous sewage issues from a main line under my trailer. I had to call the health department to get it fixed. A storm came through and knocked out power in several trailers, including my own. According to the electrician and IPL (now AES), it was the trailer park's responsibility. After 2 weeks in and out of hotel rooms with my dogs and a newborn, I had to call the health department a second time. It was fixed within a day. Moved to a different mobile home in the same park because I still couldn't afford to buy a home. Paid over $1600 as a deposit. Over the years I lived there, I asked numerous times for the skirting, the fence, the roof and the porch to be done. Every time I was told I would get an estimate and never did. There were numerous neighbors selling drugs, literally dying from overdoses in my front yard, and fights happening daily. I finally purchased a home and went to move out. They said I could not sell the trailer unless the above mentioned repairs were done by either myself or the new tenant. Again, asked for pricing and they could not furnish them. Took nearly 6 months to sell the trailer to someone because of their lack of communication and inability to get the ball rolling. After finally selling the trailer, it took another 4 months of constant hounding, phone calls and texts messages to get any information on a deposit check. They misplaced several forms conveniently needed so hang on to EVERYTHING they give you and make copies. I had to contact the owner of the park in Oregon to get anything done. I finally get a check but it was barely only $350 after I paid them a much larger sum. Now they are still skirting details, avoiding conversations and ignoring all forms of communication. Do. Not. Live. Here. Save your business for somewhere else. - Emilea Byrum

Brookville Mobile Home Park Introduce

If you are searching for "RV parks near me" and are considering long-term residential options in Indianapolis, Indiana, it is crucial to thoroughly research potential communities. Brookville Mobile Home Park, located at 6200 S Brookville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46219, USA, with contact number (317) 353-6291 or +1 317-353-6291, has received feedback that raises significant concerns for potential residents. Based on the available reviews, it is essential to approach this community with caution and be aware of the reported issues.

One detailed review from a former resident recounts a multitude of problems experienced over several years. This individual initially moved into the park in 2015 and immediately faced "numerous sewage issues from a main line under my trailer," which allegedly required intervention from the health department to resolve. Further issues arose when a storm caused a power outage, with an electrician and the power company (IPL, now AES) reportedly stating it was the trailer park's responsibility. The resident described spending two weeks in hotels with pets and a newborn before the power was restored, again allegedly requiring health department involvement.

After moving to a different mobile home within the same park, the resident paid a substantial deposit of over $1600. Over the subsequent years, they repeatedly requested essential maintenance, including "skirting, the fence, the roof and the porch," but were consistently told they would receive an estimate that never materialized. Furthermore, the review paints a troubling picture of the community environment, alleging "numerous neighbors selling drugs, literally dying from overdoses in my front yard, and fights happening daily." These are serious safety and quality-of-life concerns.

The difficulties continued when the resident attempted to move out after purchasing a home. They were reportedly told they could not sell their trailer unless the long-requested repairs were completed by either themselves or a new tenant. Despite asking for pricing for these repairs, the management allegedly failed to provide them, leading to a nearly six-month delay in selling the trailer due to "their lack of communication and inability to get the ball rolling." The process of recovering the deposit was also fraught with issues, reportedly taking another four months of persistent follow-up, including contacting the park owner in Oregon to get any action. The eventual deposit received was significantly less than expected, and the former resident claims ongoing avoidance and lack of communication from the management regarding the discrepancy. The reviewer strongly advises potential residents to "Do. Not. Live. Here." and to seek other options.

Another review highlights a different set of concerns related to infrastructure and management responsiveness to community-wide issues. This feedback acknowledges some superficial improvements like "speed bumps the trees and the stupid looking fence out front" but urgently points out a persistent "flooding issue." The reviewer states that the community has repeatedly raised this issue with the manager, Cindy, and her brother, who is in maintenance, but describes both as a "complete dead end." The community reportedly feels that their concerns are being ignored despite "continuing to pour money into our homes only to have it flood and become a swamp," as evidenced in accompanying photos. This review underscores potential problems with the park's infrastructure and a perceived lack of action from the management to address significant environmental issues affecting residents.

Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," the information provided in these reviews does not offer any insight into whether Brookville Mobile Home Park accommodates RVs or provides related amenities. The focus of the feedback is entirely on the experiences of residents living in mobile homes within the community. Therefore, based solely on this information, it is not possible to determine if Brookville Mobile Home Park would be a viable option for individuals seeking RV parks for temporary or extended stays.

Given the serious allegations of maintenance neglect, safety issues, poor management communication, and unresolved infrastructure problems such as flooding, potential residents, whether for mobile homes or RVs, should exercise extreme caution. It would be advisable to seek alternative housing or RV park options in the Indianapolis area that have more positive and reliable feedback regarding management, maintenance, and community safety. If you are still considering Brookville Mobile Home Park, it would be imperative to conduct thorough due diligence, including visiting the property, speaking with current residents (if possible), and directly addressing the concerns raised in these reviews with the management.

In conclusion, the available reviews for Brookville Mobile Home Park paint a concerning picture, with significant allegations of unresolved maintenance issues, safety problems, and poor management responsiveness. For those searching within the "RV parks near me" category, there is no information to suggest this park caters to RVs. Potential residents considering this mobile home park should be aware of the serious issues raised by former residents and proceed with extreme caution, seeking comprehensive information and potentially looking at other communities in the Indianapolis area.
