Burlington Mobile Home Park Introduce
For individuals seeking "RV parks near me" in the Muncie, Indiana area, it's beneficial to explore different types of residential communities that might accommodate recreational vehicles, especially for those considering extended stays. Burlington Mobile Home Park, located at 1110 S Burlington Dr, Muncie, IN 47302, is primarily a mobile home park. For those considering this location for potential RV living, it is crucial to carefully review available information and feedback from current residents to make an informed decision.
Burlington Mobile Home Park can be contacted directly at the provided address. The absence of a phone number in the provided information suggests that inquiries might need to be made in person. This lack of readily available phone contact could be a factor for potential residents to consider when seeking information about the park's policies and availability for RVs.
The available reviews from residents of Burlington Mobile Home Park paint a concerning picture of the management and overall living conditions. One long-term resident, who has lived there for 18 years, states that the past two years have been "horrible" due to the "absolutely horrific" management. This individual alleges that the management operates arbitrarily, acting on their own terms without consideration for residents. A significant complaint is the frequent and unannounced water shut-offs, which can last for over 12 hours. The reviewer recounts multiple instances of being caught without water while showering or cooking, including on major holidays like the 4th of July and Labor Day, which negatively impacted their family gatherings. They emphasize the management's unwillingness to provide even simple notifications about planned water outages, making it difficult for residents to make necessary arrangements and significantly impacting their quality of life in their own homes.
Another reviewer echoes negative sentiments about the ownership and management of Burlington Mobile Home Park. They claim that the owner has no regard for the residents. Issues such as overgrown grass ("up to your knees") and the alleged disappearance of rent payments are mentioned, raising concerns about the basic maintenance of the park and the financial accountability of the management. This reviewer also states that the management tends to implement significant changes without providing tenants with adequate prior information to prepare. While they describe the management as "nice enough," they also suggest a propensity for drama, mirroring what they perceive in some other residents.
These reviews collectively raise serious concerns about the management practices, the maintenance of the park grounds, the reliability of essential utilities, and the overall living environment at Burlington Mobile Home Park. For individuals specifically searching for "RV parks near me," these factors are critical to consider. While a mobile home park might occasionally accommodate RVs for longer-term stays, the negative feedback regarding management professionalism, lack of communication, potential financial mismanagement, and poor maintenance suggests a potentially unfavorable environment for any resident, including those in recreational vehicles.
When evaluating Burlington Mobile Home Park as a potential option for RV living, it would be prudent to proceed with extreme caution. The reported issues with management attitude, lack of communication regarding essential services, potential financial irregularities, and the neglect of basic maintenance could significantly impact the quality of life for any resident. For RV owners, additional concerns might include the suitability of the lots for RVs, the reliability and accessibility of utility hookups (especially given the reported water issues), and the overall upkeep and safety of the park.
Given the strongly negative experiences shared in the reviews, it is highly recommended that anyone considering Burlington Mobile Home Park for RV living (or any type of residency) conduct thorough due diligence. This should include attempting to contact the current management in person to directly address the concerns raised in the reviews and to inquire about their policies and practices regarding RVs. A personal visit to the park is also strongly advised to independently assess the conditions of the grounds, the general upkeep of the properties, and the overall atmosphere of the community. If possible, speaking with current residents might provide additional insights into the day-to-day living experience at Burlington Mobile Home Park.
It is important to remember that mobile home parks and RV parks often operate under different models and may offer varying amenities and community structures. Traditional RV parks are typically designed to cater to recreational vehicles, offering amenities such as level pads, easily accessible hookups, dump stations, and often recreational facilities. Mobile home parks, on the other hand, are primarily designed for long-term residency in manufactured homes, and while some might accommodate RVs, they may not offer the same amenities or level of service that a dedicated RV park provides.
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Muncie area, it would be wise to also explore other options that are specifically advertised as RV parks or campgrounds. These facilities are more likely to be equipped to handle the specific needs of recreational vehicles and often provide a more tailored experience for RV travelers and long-term residents alike. Resources such as online directories and camping websites can be helpful in identifying and researching dedicated RV parks in the vicinity of Muncie.
In conclusion, while Burlington Mobile Home Park is located in Muncie, IN, and might technically fall within the search results for "RV parks near me," the available recent reviews present significant concerns regarding the park's management, maintenance, and overall living environment. Individuals considering this location for RV living should exercise extreme caution, conduct thorough personal investigation, and strongly consider exploring alternative, dedicated RV parks or campgrounds in the Muncie area that may offer a more positive and reliable living experience.

Burlington Mobile Home Park Reviews
I've lived here for 18 years, and I'm 63. For the past two years, it's been horrible. The management here is absolutely horrific.Does whatever she wants when she wants. The worst part is that you don't get NO notifications. The water gets turned off ALL the time without notice, which can be up to 12 hours plus. I've been caught in the shower three times and cooking six times. There was no water on the 4th of July or Labor Day, which ruined my families holidays. Been I was the one cooking. Something as simple as notifying you about the water being turned off she want do. Where you can make other arrangements. MANAGEMENT has made it very difficult to live in my own home.
Oct 16, 2024 · Phyllis FarrisThe owner of this park cares absolutely nothing about any of the people living here. Grass up to your knees, money you pay to them goes missing, they want to make big changes without giving tenants the information necessary to prepare in time. Management is nice enough, I suppose, but thrives on drama like half of the other people living here.
Aug 27, 2020 · Brittany HWe have lived in the Park for many years and we have seen several change of owners. They have allowed their investment to become an eye sore , the infrastructure is old and needs a major over haul. We do have numerous run down and abandoned trailors that are safety hazards and need to go. I don't know what city or county agencies might be of assistance here. And the residents that live here are not white trash, we are elderly , working poor, educated, or not. all my neighbors try hard to keep their little plot mowed, trash free, and are good neighbors. Thank you for your time.JW. OrgDiana Barnes
Feb 20, 2021 · Diana BarnesWhen I was a toddler, about 4 years old; my mother and father moved us into a mobile home in Burlington Park. This was around 1982-84. The trailer was haunted 💀; after the bunk bed was shaking really hard with me on the bottom bunk, and my older brother Josh on the top bunk. At first he thought that I was shaking the bed; and vice-versa. That is until it started violently shaking and our dog started growling and barking at the corner of the room; which was an empty corner of my bedroom. And to us the corner appeared unoccupied. But Patches, our dog didn't seem to think that it was unoccupied. She was belligerrently barking and snarling. My mother came in after hearing us screaming; and the dog going nuts. We told her what happened, and she had us moved into another house that week! Other than that one haunted trailer though; the place looks good.
Jul 06, 2022 · Jacob JamesThey park is quiet! I don't have any issues for the most part. Sometimes I get nosey people trying to start trouble and I've had a few thing swiped from my yard and not even important stuff like a bike or pool I had yard decorations swiped
