Campfire RV Park

1396 FM718, Aurora, TX 76078, USA

4.0
I was told that I have a 50amp service to connect to. After doing a little looking. I see a 30 amp breaker with a 50amp service. And some neighbors that aren't very nice. The husband and wife team that managed the property are very nice and helpful with our needs. We only stayed a week. But they did have several sites to chose from. Partially shaded, complete shaded, non shaded. Small spots, large spots, and spots that have lots of room to add small out buildings or porches. - Daniel Vogt

Campfire RV Park Introduce

For local users seeking "RV parks near me" in the Aurora, Texas area, Campfire RV Park, located at 1396 FM718, Aurora, TX 76078, USA, presents itself as an option with notable features and some considerations based on recent customer reviews. You can contact them at (940) 304-7836 or +1 940-304-7836 for inquiries about site availability and reservations. Reviews highlight the park's shady environment, variety of site sizes, and friendly management, while also pointing out potential issues with electrical service and neighborly interactions.

One of the prominent features of Campfire RV Park, appreciated by a long-term resident who has lived there since the first owners, is the abundance of shade trees. This suggests a comfortable and potentially cooler environment, particularly beneficial during the hot Texas summers. For local users prioritizing shade when looking for "RV parks near me," Campfire RV Park could be an attractive choice.

Another positive aspect mentioned in the reviews is the helpfulness and friendliness of the husband and wife team managing the property. One short-term visitor specifically noted their positive interactions with the management, stating they were "very nice and helpful with our needs." This suggests that guests can expect a degree of personal attention and assistance from the on-site management, which can significantly enhance the overall experience of staying at an RV park.

Campfire RV Park also offers a variety of site options to cater to different needs and preferences. According to one reviewer, there were "several sites to chose from," including partially shaded, completely shaded, and non-shaded options. Furthermore, the park offers small, large, and extra-large spots, with some of the larger sites providing ample room to add small outbuildings or porches. This flexibility in site selection is a significant advantage for local users who may have specific requirements regarding shade, space, or the ability to personalize their site.

However, one reviewer did report a discrepancy regarding the electrical service. They were informed they would have a 50-amp service but found a 30-amp breaker with a 50-amp service. This suggests a potential issue with the advertised versus the actual electrical capacity at some sites. Local users with RVs requiring a specific amperage should verify the electrical service at their chosen site before booking or upon arrival to ensure it meets their needs and avoid potential electrical issues.

Additionally, the same reviewer mentioned having "some neighbors that aren't very nice." This is a subjective observation and can vary depending on individual experiences and expectations. However, it's a point to consider for local users who prioritize a harmonious and friendly community atmosphere in their chosen "RV parks near me." It's worth noting that neighborly interactions are often beyond the direct control of park management, but it's something potential residents or short-term visitors might want to be mindful of.

Based on the available reviews, Campfire RV Park offers a blend of positive attributes and potential drawbacks that local users should consider:

  • Abundant Shade: Many sites benefit from mature shade trees, providing a cooler and more comfortable environment.
  • Friendly and Helpful Management: The on-site husband and wife team is reported to be accommodating and supportive.
  • Variety of Site Sizes: Options range from small to extra-large, catering to different RV sizes and needs.
  • Choice of Shade Levels: Sites are available with partial, complete, or no shade.
  • Potential Electrical Discrepancy: At least one instance of a misrepresentation regarding electrical service (30-amp breaker on a 50-amp service) was reported.
  • Variable Neighborly Interactions: One reviewer noted negative interactions with some neighbors.

As no specific promotional information was included in the provided reviews, local users are encouraged to contact Campfire RV Park directly at (940) 304-7836 or +1 940-304-7836 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any special offers for short-term or long-term stays. When contacting the park, it would be prudent to specifically ask about the electrical service at potential sites to ensure it meets your RV's requirements. Additionally, you might inquire about the general community atmosphere and any park rules or guidelines regarding neighborly conduct.

For local users prioritizing a shady environment and friendly management when searching for "RV parks near me" in the Aurora, TX area, Campfire RV Park offers these appealing features. The variety of site sizes also provides flexibility for different RV setups. However, it is essential to be aware of the potential for electrical service discrepancies and the possibility of encountering less-than-ideal neighborly interactions, as reported by one reviewer. Direct communication with the park management to clarify these points and gather the most up-to-date information is highly recommended before making a decision.

In conclusion, Campfire RV Park presents a mixed profile for local users seeking RV accommodations near Aurora, TX. The strong positives of ample shade, helpful management, and diverse site options are significant advantages. However, the reported issue with electrical service and the mention of unfriendly neighbors are factors that potential guests should investigate further. Contacting the park directly for detailed information and clarification on these aspects will enable local users to make a well-informed choice based on their individual needs and preferences when selecting from the "RV parks near me" category.
