Camping World Racing Resort Introduce
For local users searching within the "RV Parks Near Me" category, particularly those interested in events at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, Camping World Racing Resort, located at 6600 Bruton Smith Blvd, Concord, NC 28027, USA, offers a unique camping experience tailored to racing enthusiasts. Interested individuals can contact the resort directly at (704) 455-4445 or +1 704-455-4445 for inquiries about reservations, rates, and specific accommodations, especially in relation to racing events.
The environment surrounding Camping World Racing Resort is intrinsically linked to the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Its location at 6600 Bruton Smith Blvd places it in close proximity to this major motorsports complex, making it an exceptionally convenient accommodation option for attendees of NASCAR races, drag racing events, and other activities held at the venue. The immediate environment of the resort is likely geared towards accommodating a large influx of visitors during these events, potentially characterized by open camping areas and facilities designed for event-goers. While the focus is primarily on its proximity to the racetrack, guests may still experience the broader Concord area, which offers typical suburban amenities and services. The ambiance of the resort is likely to be highly energetic and community-focused during racing weekends, with fellow enthusiasts sharing the camping experience.
The services at Camping World Racing Resort appear to be geared towards providing essential amenities for event camping. One positive review highlights the welcoming and personable staff at the entrance, which is particularly reassuring for solo female campers. The same reviewer also notes the consistent efforts of the maintenance crews in keeping the showers and restrooms clean. This suggests that while the primary draw is the racetrack access, the resort also prioritizes basic comfort and hygiene for its guests. A notable feature mentioned is the presence of an Amazon locker on-site, offering a convenient solution for forgotten items or deliveries, which speaks to a thoughtful consideration of guest needs.
However, another review raises a significant concern regarding the value proposition, specifically for drag racing events. This reviewer criticizes the high price of $200 to camp in a "dry, dusty, unmoved field" with limited facilities, noting only six porta-johns for the entire campground. This feedback suggests that the amenities provided may not always align with the cost, particularly during certain types of events. The comparison to the rising costs of NASCAR attendance and the concern about being priced out of drag racing as well indicates a potential issue with affordability relative to the perceived level of services provided during those events.
The features of Camping World Racing Resort are primarily centered around its location and the infrastructure to support a large number of campers during racing events. The most significant feature is undoubtedly its proximity to the Charlotte Motor Speedway, offering unparalleled convenience for event attendees. The resort likely provides various camping spaces to accommodate different types of RVs and camping setups. While one review mentions "dry" camping in a field with limited porta-johns, it's possible that other areas of the resort offer more comprehensive hookups (water, electricity, sewage) and more permanent restroom and shower facilities, as suggested by the positive review. The presence of an on-site Amazon locker is a unique and valuable feature for guests. The welcoming staff and the efforts to maintain cleanliness are also noteworthy features contributing to a positive guest experience for some.
Promotional information is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. Pricing appears to be event-driven, and the negative review suggests that costs can be substantial, particularly for certain events and camping locations within the resort. To obtain accurate information about pricing for specific racing weekends or other events, as well as any potential discounts or package deals, interested local users should contact Camping World Racing Resort directly. Inquiring about different camping options (e.g., sites with full hookups versus dry camping areas) and the amenities provided at each price point would be essential for making an informed decision. It would also be prudent to ask about the number and location of restroom facilities relative to the campsite, especially given the concerns raised in one of the reviews.
In conclusion, Camping World Racing Resort in Concord, NC, offers a uniquely convenient camping option for attendees of events at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Its prime location allows for easy access to races and other activities. While some guests have praised the friendly staff, cleanliness of facilities, and thoughtful amenities like the Amazon locker, others have raised concerns about the cost relative to the basic services provided, particularly during drag racing events where dry camping in a field with limited restroom facilities may be the norm. For local users planning to attend events at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and seeking the ultimate in convenience, Camping World Racing Resort is a primary consideration. However, it is crucial to contact the resort directly to inquire about the specific types of camping available, the amenities provided for each, and the pricing structure for the dates of interest to ensure it aligns with expectations and budget. Potential guests should also consider the feedback regarding the value and amenities offered during different types of events to make an informed choice.

Camping World Racing Resort Reviews
When I plan my weekends around racing, there's no reason to look for accommodations elsewhere. There's no worries about being a solo female camper, and the staff at the entrance is always personable and welcoming. I come out 5x a year, and would do more if there were more racing events. The crews that maintain the showers/restrooms are always working to keep it clean for us. There's even an Amazon locker in site in case you forgot something at home (which I've done far too often).
Apr 26, 2025 · ErikaLove the drags, but how can you justify charging 200. to camp in a dry, dusty, unmoved field. Then for the whole campground there was 6 porta johns. Your bout to outprice NASCAR, that's why we started going to the drags, we could afford NASCAR. please don't have us quit the drags also.
Apr 26, 2025 · D. ManucciWe've stayed here twice during non-event times. I would imagine it gets busy for a major race. The sites are level, gravel & well-maintained. The interior roads are asphalt. The office staff is very friendly and effective. The picnic pavilion and pickleball courts behind the office are nice amenities, as is the large fenced dog park. If your stay includes visiting downtown Charlotte, be prepared for crazy traffic (and drivers) much of the day. It could take 30 minutes to get downtown. As an alternative route, US-29 seems a bit more sane although it might take more time. Restaurants, shopping and fuel are just minutes away.
Apr 07, 2025 · Dick TerpstraOther than on a race weekend, the park is very quiet. The sites are long if you need it, they’ll give you two sites for the price of one usually and it’s got a lot of stuff around it. If you need it, we will be back in Charlotte in about 30 days and will be staying there again. It is definitely one of our regular stops when we’re in the area.
Mar 31, 2025 · Joe RegensteinVery nice campground. Large sites. Nice dog run. Close to race shops, restaurants and shopping. Enterprise rental car nearby. And of course next to speedway and Campers World rv store.
