Loveland, situated in the northern part of Colorado, is known for its scenic beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities, serving as a gateway to the Rocky Mountains. For those seeking "RV parks near me" in this area, Carter Valley Campground's location on North County Road 29 suggests a setting that balances rural tranquility with accessibility to the amenities and attractions of Loveland and surrounding areas. The description of "country living" in one of the reviews further emphasizes this peaceful environment, potentially appealing to those looking for a quieter and more relaxed RV park experience.
One long-term resident, who has lived at Carter Valley Campground for three years, provides a glowing review, highlighting the "easy going and laid back" nature of the people and the overall peaceful atmosphere. This sense of community, where residents generally respect each other's space ("everybody keeps themselves") but are also willing to address issues respectfully ("usually the other person will let them know, or they'll let Daniel know"), suggests a harmonious living environment. The reviewer specifically praises the current manager, Daniel, for his professionalism and ability to handle any disputes peacefully and effectively, leading to positive resolutions. This positive feedback about the management is a significant factor for anyone considering a short or long-term stay at an "RV park near me," as responsive and capable management contributes greatly to a positive experience.
The same reviewer also expresses relief and gratitude that the previous managers, DJ and Khalid, are no longer managing the campground, and that a former resident who caused "too much hassle" no longer stays there. This indicates that the current environment under Daniel's management is perceived as a significant improvement, fostering a more stable and pleasant atmosphere for the residents. This is valuable information for prospective RVers who prioritize a peaceful and well-managed setting when searching for "RV parks near me."
Another concise review highlights several key amenities and services offered at Carter Valley Campground. The mention of "hot, clean showers" is a significant plus for RV travelers, as access to clean and reliable restroom facilities is often a top priority when choosing an "RV park near me," especially for those who may not have full bathroom facilities within their RV or who appreciate the convenience of on-site showers. The availability of "water on site" is another essential service for RVs, ensuring a convenient water supply for various needs. Furthermore, the reviewer praises "great customer service," which aligns with the positive feedback about the current manager, Daniel, in the longer review. This consistent mention of good service suggests that visitors and residents can expect to be treated well and receive assistance when needed.
However, the second review also notes "limited cell reception." This is an important piece of information for anyone considering Carter Valley Campground, especially those who rely heavily on their mobile devices for communication, navigation, or work. While the peaceful country setting might be a draw for many, the potential for limited connectivity is a factor that visitors should be aware of and prepared for. It might be beneficial to inquire about the availability of Wi-Fi services at the campground, although this is not mentioned in the provided reviews.

The location in Loveland provides access to the natural beauty of the area while still being within reach of city conveniences.
While the reviews do not explicitly detail the types of RV sites available (e.g., pull-through or back-in), the hookups offered (e.g., electricity, sewer), or the specific amenities for RVs (e.g., laundry facilities, dump station), the positive comments about the essential services and management provide a good foundation. Carter Valley Campground Reviews
Really ,seems like the people are very easy going and laid back. Country living . No Vacancy. DJ and Khalid no longer manage the place. We've got Daniel, really easy going real kind. I love living, here. Been here for 3 years. I couldn't ask for any better place to live. Very peaceful everybody keeps themselves. When somebody doesn't. Usually the other person will let them know, or they'll let Daniel know. Daniel always handles everything peacefully, and most of the time the dispute is resolved and very peaceful. Very thankful for Daniel and how professional he is. Also I would like to add that I'm thankful and grateful that DJ is, no longer managing Carter valley campground. And the fella that posted he's a felon, no longer stays here. Too much hassle all the time.

Sep 10, 2018 · Alex OmegaBest place EVER for long term RV'ing!!!!Safe, QUIET, low drama, and LOTS of perks to make up for the lack of a few updated amenities. Pay more at other parks for a pool, or live here for less than any other park around. The Chilson Center has an awesome pool!!
May 19, 2024 · Savannah RoseHad a one night stop over on route to Rocky Mountains NP. DJ the manager was great. We had a full hook up and level site. The site is mostly full time people but quiet and great for on route travelling. Good amenities too. Thanks DJ.
Aug 20, 2018 · John BelbeckWell upon arrival i was told she had no sites even though she took my card # over the phone charged me for the site only to have given it to someone else that said they made the reservation. Don't they check ID's???? after getting that squared away the management put me in a site and never even apologized for the mix up, in addition when we went to pay for another month she told us we would be moving to another site at the end of the day which was like two hour notice...??? Plus the new site was not big enough but having no notice to try and find a new park we were forced to try and make it work. the space was 38 feet long and we are 35 feet. in trying to squeeze in we ended up having damage done to our trailer, and then was yelled and cursed at for not fitting, go figure. when we asked for a refund we were told there is none. Well guess they like to be sneaky and get away with fraud. If i could find the owners I would make a formal complaint, When asked the management said the owners trusted their judgment and did not want to hear from me. Well I made a formal complaint to the BBB.
