Catalina Spa RV Resort Introduce
Looking for exceptional "RV parks near me" in the Desert Hot Springs area of Southern California? Consider Catalina Spa RV Resort, located at 18800 Corkill Rd, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92241, USA. This RV park has garnered positive feedback from visitors who appreciate its clean environment, well-maintained amenities, and welcoming atmosphere, making it a strong contender for your next RV adventure or extended stay.
One of the standout features of Catalina Spa RV Resort, frequently mentioned by guests, is its cleanliness. Reviewers consistently describe the park as "super clean," indicating a commitment to maintaining a pleasant and hygienic environment for all visitors. This attention to detail contributes significantly to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the stay.
The amenities at Catalina Spa RV Resort are also highly praised. Guests specifically highlight the "well-kept" nature of the facilities, suggesting that the park takes pride in ensuring everything is in good working order. A major draw is the availability of "awesome hot mineral pools," which provide a relaxing and therapeutic experience for guests. These pools are a unique feature that sets Catalina Spa RV Resort apart and are a significant reason why many visitors choose to stay here.
The staff at Catalina Spa RV Resort are consistently described as "friendly and helpful." This positive interaction with park personnel can greatly enhance the overall guest experience, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment. Knowing that assistance is readily available and provided with a smile adds to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere of the resort.
Beyond the facilities and staff, the sense of community at Catalina Spa RV Resort is another aspect that resonates with many guests. The park is described as having a "chill atmosphere" where visitors can truly relax and unwind. Many guests report that "most of the guests were genuinely friendly and welcoming," contributing to a positive social environment. Some reviewers even mention "great concerts by talented people staying at the Park," indicating a vibrant and engaging community spirit.
The RV sites themselves are reported to be "adequate for size," suggesting they can accommodate a variety of RV types. Additionally, the presence of "hedges" between sites is noted as a positive feature, providing some degree of privacy for guests. This thoughtful landscaping can enhance the feeling of personal space and contribute to a more comfortable stay.
Catalina Spa RV Resort also offers a range of "all sorts of activities to do," although specific details about these activities are not provided in the reviews. This suggests that there are opportunities for guests to engage in recreation and socialize within the park, further enhancing the overall experience and providing options for entertainment and leisure.
While the vast majority of feedback is positive, one reviewer mentioned a "recurring concern from other guests about things getting stolen." While this reviewer personally did not experience any issues, the concern itself warrants attention. The suggestion of "some light security at night—maybe someone doing rounds in a golf cart—could really help ease that worry and make the place feel even more secure" is a valuable point for the park management to consider in order to further enhance guest comfort and peace of mind.
Another point of feedback concerns the "dynamic with some of the long-term residents." While many long-term residents were described as "incredibly kind and made the place feel like a little community," a few reportedly exhibited an "ownership vibe" regarding common areas like the pools. This occasionally created a slightly "off-putting" feeling for some short-term visitors. Managing the interactions and expectations between long-term and short-term guests is a common challenge in RV parks, and addressing this dynamic could further improve the experience for all.
Despite these minor suggestions for improvement, the overall sentiment towards Catalina Spa RV Resort is overwhelmingly positive. One guest who initially booked a week ended up extending their stay to two and a half weeks, indicating a high level of satisfaction. This speaks volumes about the enjoyable experience the park offers.

Inquire about site availability, pricing, specific amenities offered (beyond the hot mineral pools), park rules and regulations, pet policies, and any current promotional offers or discounts for local users. Asking about security measures and how the park addresses concerns raised by guests can also be beneficial.
Furthermore, consider visiting the resort in person at 18800 Corkill Rd, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92241. A personal tour can provide a firsthand look at the facilities, the layout of the park, and the overall atmosphere. Speaking with current guests (if the opportunity arises) can also offer valuable insights into the day-to-day experience of staying at Catalina Spa RV Resort.
In conclusion, Catalina Spa RV Resort appears to be a highly desirable "RV park near me" in the Desert Hot Springs area. Its clean facilities, exceptional hot mineral pools, friendly staff, and strong sense of community are frequently praised by visitors. Catalina Spa RV Resort Reviews
Great Experience with a Few SuggestionsWe had a really great stay at Catalina Spa RV Resort! The place was super clean, the amenities were well-kept, and the staff and most of the guests were genuinely friendly and welcoming. It’s one of those spots where you can really relax and enjoy the vibe. There was a recurring concern from other guests about things getting stolen, but we personally never had any issues. That said, having some light security at night—maybe someone doing rounds in a golf cart—could really help ease that worry and make the place feel even more secure. One thing worth mentioning is the dynamic with some of the long-term residents. While many of them were incredibly kind and made the place feel like a little community, a few seemed to have an “ownership” vibe when it came to common areas like the pools. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it did feel a little off-putting at times.Overall, though, we loved our time here and would definitely come back. Catalina Spa has a lot going for it—beautiful setting, clean facilities, and a chill atmosphere.

Feb 17, 2025 · R “RayJ” ScottNice place. Exercise room in need of deep clean and maintenance. RV sites nice. Pool, spa, and shower are are nice. Lots of retirees. Ok distance from Palm springs. Surrounding area a bit run down and no convenient large grocery stores, although there's a small market nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Feb 13, 2025 · G. M.My all time favorite RV park - we have been to many! Here at Catalina, they lack in nothing. The views are phenomenal. Water pressure is good. The showers and the bathrooms in common areas are newly remodeled and comfortable. It feels luxury. There are multiple pools and hot tubs. Staff is amazing. I would stay forever if I could!
Jan 03, 2025 · Elizabeth FelixWe rented an RV in SoCal & stayed here for 2 nights. Christina was a huge help (although she's leaving soon) and even gave us a quick upgrade to a 50 amp service for no additional fee. Place was immaculate & comfortable. It's a beautiful place with gorgeous views - we will be back some day!
