The environment of Cedar Knolls is situated in Apple Valley, a well-regarded suburb south of Minneapolis in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Apple Valley is known for its high quality of life, excellent school district, and abundant recreational opportunities, including parks, lakes, and the Minnesota Zoo. This location provides residents with convenient access to a wide range of amenities, such as shopping centers, diverse dining options, healthcare facilities, and various services within the city and surrounding areas. As a manufactured home community, Cedar Knolls typically features a layout of individual home sites, offering residents a sense of personal space and a neighborhood feel within the park. The design aims to provide a comfortable and accessible living environment, often with maintained common areas. Residents of Cedar Knolls would benefit from Apple Valley's robust municipal services, including public safety, utilities, and access to local schools, which are often a significant draw for families.
In terms of services and features, Cedar Knolls, as a manufactured home community, provides the foundational elements for residential living. This typically includes the leasing of individual land sites for manufactured homes, with essential utility hookups for water, sewer, and electricity. While specific inclusions in lot rent should always be verified directly with the park management, common features in professionally managed communities often include on-site management, maintenance of common areas, and designated parking. Manufactured home communities often promote a sense of community through various amenities, which might include common recreational facilities such as playgrounds, picnic areas, or a community clubhouse for social gatherings. These features aim to enhance the resident experience and foster a cohesive neighborhood environment. Many manufactured home communities are also pet-friendly, offering designated areas or policies to accommodate residents with pets. The core feature remains the opportunity for residents to own their manufactured home while leasing the land, which can represent a more affordable pathway to homeownership compared to traditional housing markets in the region. This model allows for a stable and independent living situation, often with a sense of community that can be appealing to a wide range of residents.
Cedar Knolls is likely an all-ages community, welcoming residents of all life stages, including families with children, young professionals, and retirees. This demographic diversity can contribute to a vibrant and inclusive community atmosphere. The potential availability of well-maintained new or pre-owned manufactured homes directly through the park or affiliated dealers can simplify the process for prospective residents looking to purchase a home. Its location within Apple Valley provides residents with access to the city's amenities and services, making it a potentially convenient and desirable place to live. The overall goal of such a community is to offer affordable housing solutions without compromising on the quality of life or the sense of belonging within a structured residential environment.
However, an objective introduction must also incorporate direct feedback from customers, which provides a more nuanced picture of the resident experience. Reviews for Cedar Knolls raise serious concerns regarding discrimination, staff conduct, and community safety. One highly critical review explicitly states, "Horrible and they lots of discrimination. They miss treat people by the accent and color of their skin. I didn't appreciated how they hangout my calls or shot me down when we have questions." This reviewer specifically mentions a need for "the city and the state of Minnesota should be looking closely to this place." These allegations of discrimination, disrespect, and unresponsiveness from staff are very serious and would be a significant concern for any prospective resident, particularly those from diverse backgrounds. The accusations suggest a deeply problematic aspect of resident relations and management professionalism.
Another review, while not directly related to management, raises a concern about safety and behavior within the community. It describes an incident involving a "road rage, bully, unsafe driver" in a gray Dodge Ram truck (license plate 9ND838) who "tried to run me off the road and brake-check me." The reviewer reported this individual to the police and noted that he "pulled into Cedar Knolls trailer park when I last saw him." While this is an isolated incident involving a specific resident, it highlights potential issues related to safety and resident conduct that could impact the overall living environment within the park. This kind of feedback, alongside the discrimination allegations, paints a picture of a community that may have significant challenges affecting resident well-being and satisfaction.
For prospective residents considering Cedar Knolls, it is imperative to conduct extensive due diligence given the serious nature of the concerns raised in reviews. A personal visit to the park to observe the general atmosphere and talk to residents, if possible, would be highly beneficial. Direct communication with park management (at (888) 472-0851 or +1 888-472-0851) is essential, and prospective residents should be prepared to ask pointed questions about the policies regarding discrimination, resident conduct, and complaint resolution. Understanding the community's response to such serious allegations is critical. Furthermore, clarifying all aspects of the lease agreement, including lot rent, utility responsibilities, and specific community rules, is paramount. While Cedar Knolls might offer affordable housing in a desirable suburban location, the reported issues related to discrimination, staff professionalism, and community safety warrant careful consideration and thorough investigation before making any commitment to reside there.

Apr 25, 2025 · Vive BienWatch out for a road rage, bully, usafe driver. He drives a gray Dodge ram truck 2019. His license plate number is 9ND838. He tried to run me off the road and brake-check me today. I reported him to the police. He pulled into Cedar Knolls trailer park when I last saw him. He is a fairly small man which might be why he drives a truck for compensation. Real nice specimen.
Dec 13, 2024 · GOD blessStaff was amazing and explained the steps very well!
Apr 22, 2025 · Debra EbelIt is sad to say that this place was a good place when we first moved here but then like all things rules start to change, rent goes up, sewer, trash and water must be pay for now. now more rules most likely the reason is so they can force old home owner out so they have to sell or move their home so they can move in brand new mobile homes to get more sales. what a lovely neighborhood. By 2020 expect you lot rent to be 1000.
Jan 03, 2019 · DJ Bong MarleyI moved here in July of last year. It's a great park to live in. The staff has always been courteous and helpful with any questions or concerns.
