Countryside Estates Introduce
Countryside Estates is a mobile home park located at 2 Sharon Dr, McKean, PA 16426, USA. For individuals and families exploring residential options in the McKean area, and potentially considering alternatives that might appear under the search term "RV parks near me," Countryside Estates offers a community-based living environment. While distinct from traditional RV parks that typically cater to temporary recreational vehicle stays, mobile home parks provide a setting for long-term residency in manufactured homes, which can be an appealing option for some seeking a stable and potentially more affordable housing solution within a community setting.
Situated in McKean, Pennsylvania, Countryside Estates benefits from its location in a smaller town setting within Erie County. McKean offers a more rural atmosphere compared to the city of Erie itself, potentially appealing to those seeking a quieter lifestyle while still being within reasonable proximity to urban amenities. The exact distance to Erie and the specific local conveniences available in McKean would be factors for prospective residents to consider. These might include local shops, schools, and essential services that contribute to the overall livability of the community.
Based on the available customer reviews, Countryside Estates appears to be a "very well-kept park" in terms of its physical environment. This positive observation suggests that the community takes pride in its grounds and overall appearance, which can contribute to a pleasant living experience for residents. However, the reviews also highlight some significant challenges related to management communication and the cost of living within the park.
One review details a frustrating experience attempting to purchase a home listed by the community. The potential buyers completed the application process and obtained pre-approval for financing through the park's recommended company. Despite this, they reportedly encountered a lack of communication from the office, including an inability to obtain contact information for the financial department, schedule a viewing of the home, or receive clear guidance on the next steps in the purchasing process. The reviewer notes that the price of the home was repeatedly reduced, suggesting a strong desire on the part of the sellers to sell, yet they felt they were inexplicably being prevented from making the purchase. This raises concerns about the efficiency and transparency of the sales process within the community.
The second review shifts focus to the experience of current residents, acknowledging that the community "really isn't a bad place to live." This reinforces the positive impression of the physical environment. However, the reviewer expresses significant concern about the increasing cost of living, specifically mentioning rent jumps exceeding 5% annually. They highlight the financial strain this places on residents, particularly those on fixed incomes, and advocate for community action to petition local politicians for rent control measures and greater transparency regarding how community funds are being spent. This indicates a potential issue with the affordability and financial stability of living in Countryside Estates over the long term.
Given these reviews, the environment of Countryside Estates seems to be a positive aspect, with one potential buyer noting it is "very well-kept" and a current resident stating it "isn't a bad place to live." This suggests that the physical upkeep and general atmosphere of the community may be appealing. However, the services and features related to management communication, particularly regarding home sales, appear to be problematic based on one detailed account. Additionally, the increasing lot rent, as highlighted by a current resident, is a significant concern regarding the affordability of living in the park.
There is no information available in the provided reviews regarding specific amenities or features offered within Countryside Estates. Typically, mobile home parks provide essential infrastructure such as utility hookups (water, sewer, electricity), trash removal, and road maintenance. Depending on the park, there might also be additional amenities like on-site management, community centers, laundry facilities, playgrounds, or recreational areas. However, the current information does not specify which, if any, of these are available at Countryside Estates.
Similarly, there is no mention of any promotional information or incentives that Countryside Estates might be offering to attract new residents, either for purchasing a home within the community or for renting a lot for an existing manufactured home. Without direct information from the park management, it is impossible to comment on any such offers.
For individuals searching within the "RV parks near me" category who might be considering a longer-term residential option in a manufactured home community in the McKean area, Countryside Estates presents a seemingly well-maintained environment. However, the reported issues with management communication during a home purchase and the concerns about increasing lot rent are significant factors that potential residents should carefully consider. It underscores the importance of thorough research and direct communication with the park management to clarify policies, procedures, and costs.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of Countryside Estates, prospective residents are strongly advised to visit the community to assess the environment and upkeep for themselves. It would be beneficial to speak with current residents (if possible) to get a broader perspective on living in the park, including their experiences with management and the overall community atmosphere. Contacting the park management directly is crucial to inquire about home purchasing procedures, lot rental rates, lease terms, community rules and regulations, available amenities, and to address the concerns raised in the online reviews regarding communication and rent increases. This direct engagement will be essential in making an informed decision about whether Countryside Estates is a suitable long-term living option.
In conclusion, Countryside Estates in McKean, PA, appears to be a mobile home park with a well-maintained physical environment. However, potential challenges exist regarding management communication during home sales and the increasing cost of lot rent for residents. For those exploring long-term residential options after searching for "RV parks near me," thorough investigation and direct communication with the park management and residents are strongly recommended to fully understand the living experience and financial implications of residing in Countryside Estates.

Countryside Estates Reviews
Spent a week trying to find out how to purchase a home listed by this community. We filled out the application, got a pre-approval from their financing company, and then we stopped getting return phone calls from their office. They couldn't tell us their financial department's number, they couldn't tell us when we could see the trailer, what steps we should take next. It seems like a very well-kept park, so it's too bad that they just decided they didn't want to sell us the trailer. They also dropped the price on the trailer we were looking at twice in three days, and a third time after a week - it seems like they want to sell it quite badly, just apparently not to us. 🤷🏼♀️
Apr 17, 2025 · Allison IngleThe community really isn't a bad place to live. But the cost of doing business keeps making rent jump more than 5% year. Rent keeps going up how are we to pay that when lot of us are on fixed incis going to and what cost doeomes. We as a community should we stand up and go to are local politicians and ask them to pass new laws on putting caps on rent. So we should have a right to know what money is being spent on and should demand this as residents. This needs to be addressed as soon as possible
Nov 19, 2024 · Jamie ConnerDon’t ever buy or rent from here!!!!!!!! So glad I moved away from this place! Just terrible management lot rent is 541 a month and rising every year! Don’t ever rent or buy a home from this place. You will definitely regret it.

Feb 07, 2025 · S. Thomas FreebournLevi and Team,We wanted to take a few minutes to tell others about our experience living in Countryside Estates. We love living here and it’s been entirely all positive, so many house owners are unknowingly missing out!Skyline manufactured homes is in our opinion the highest quality you can buy on the market today. We have been so surprised that during major wind events that we can’t even hear any of that noise on the inside. In our last huge new construction house we owned, when it was windy, it was loud.Thank you for always taking the time to update us on safety issues, for being on top of anything that could come up and addressing it quickly and for having rules that in our opinion care for this community and ensuring its a great place to live for all. The safety and security of this neighborhood exceeds anything we have ever seen. We know the area is monitored very closely and that if something were to arise that it would be dealt with quickly. While many conventional home communities we lived in “try” to talk about how safe they are, reality is most fail very badly. But not here, Countryside has top notch safety protocols and within seconds the entire community can be alerted to any and all situations or dangers. Its quite impressive and not one of our housing communities could ever get the entire community to respond and act to that level. We love the amenities, the walkability of this neighborhood year round. Access to a park, a fully secure place to keep an RV for traveling truly makes this place a #1 destination for people who desire a homebase but still want to keep travel easy and convenient. We so love to see people pull their RV out from the parking area and take off, all within minutes of wanting to take a trip. No need to drive across town to pick up their RV as its right here! Many subdivisions have no place to store an Rv requiring costly, off site storage. But, not at Countryside, this amenity is made available and the convenient access can not be beat! The affordability here for so many people of all income levels and age levels makes this a wonderful place for ALL people. Having an individual home with a usable yard makes apartment living seem foolish to us now since there are shared walls in apartments and no outdoor space. Here it feels like a beautiful never ending vacation with beautiful landscapes and pond to enjoy! This area! McKean is centrally located and near EVERYTHING! We have found ALL of McKean to be breathtaking and beautiful and in our opinion our favorite place in Erie County! This community is gorgeous as its truly in a wonderful country setting yet in the middle of it all. Far enough away to feel nestled into peace and tranquility yet minutes away from major roads, stores, the beach and hospitals. Add in all the farms and everything else right here and well we feel like it is definitely the best place tolive!Your team…Hospitality is who you all are! You accommodated every need we have, from our pet lizards and kids being welcome, to our allergies and helping us settle in easily after leaving our old area and being such a beacon of positivity in such a stressful time. You took this crazy family and welcomed us in and we saw an incredible team of compassionate and kind people who truly are hardworking and care about others. We have lived in many places and truly your team of people are the most amazing, most wonderful individuals we have ever encountered in our entire lifetime. We just appreciate each and every one of you from the top to the bottom, EVERY single person went above and beyond anything we could ever want or need!Thank You all for making this community a one of a kind, outstanding place to be and live! We always tell everyonewe know how much we love it here! It truly is the best in EVERY category people look for in a community and Countryside has it all!If anyone who is reading this is considering a move, try Countryside! You will not he disappointed!Blessings! The BuckinghamsEd, Lisa and Family
