Summit Village Introduce
For individuals and families exploring long-term residential options in Erie, Pennsylvania, and considering possibilities within the 'RV parks near me' category, Summit Village, located at 8461 Perry Hwy, presents a mobile home park setting. While the 'RV parks near me' category typically focuses on temporary accommodations for recreational vehicles, mobile home parks often serve as permanent or semi-permanent residential communities for manufactured homes and, in some cases, long-term RV stays.
However, it is crucial to approach an introduction to Summit Village with a careful consideration of the recent feedback provided by individuals who appear to be residents of the park. This feedback raises significant concerns regarding the management and maintenance of the property, which potential residents should be aware of when considering this as a long-term living option.
One review details a recurring "sewage issue" that the resident had been struggling with for approximately a month. The account indicates that while the manager did call someone to address the problem, the resident ultimately had to bear the cost, allegedly due to the management attributing the issue to the resident, even though the resident believed the problem originated on the park's end. Furthermore, after the initial fix, the sewage issue reportedly recurred shortly thereafter, and the management was allegedly unresponsive to subsequent calls for further assistance. The resident concludes their review with a pointed question: "is this where you want to live?" This strongly suggests a high level of dissatisfaction with the handling of essential infrastructure within the park.
Another review echoes concerns about the management and maintenance of Summit Village. This reviewer states that the "Management isn't even in erie," implying an off-site or absentee management structure. They further claim that there is "No maintenance" and "No property manager" present on-site. These allegations, if accurate, would indicate a significant lack of attention to the upkeep and operational needs of the mobile home park, potentially impacting the quality of life for residents.
Adding to these concerns, the second reviewer asserts that the "Rent is close to if not the highest for a trailer park in erie." This claim suggests that despite the alleged lack of maintenance and on-site management, the cost of living at Summit Village may not be competitive within the local market of mobile home parks. This discrepancy between cost and apparent service level is a critical factor for prospective residents to evaluate.
The review also highlights "Major water leaks" as a significant problem within the park, reportedly causing residents to pay "an extreme amount to compensate for the water loss." This suggests potential issues with the park's water infrastructure, leading to financial burdens on the residents. The lack of transparency regarding solutions is also mentioned, with the reviewer stating that "No one is willing to talk about plans to fix the place." Instead of addressing these major infrastructure problems, the reviewer notes that the management has "added demonstration trailers," implying a focus on attracting new residents rather than resolving existing issues.
Given the serious nature of these reviews, any objective introduction to Summit Village for local users searching within the 'RV parks near me' category for long-term residential options must prominently feature these concerns. While mobile home parks can offer a sense of community and a more affordable housing alternative, the reported issues at Summit Village suggest a potentially problematic living environment.
Information regarding the specific services and features typically found in a well-maintained mobile home park is conspicuously absent from the provided reviews. Usually, such parks offer essential utilities like water, sewer, and electrical hookups. There might also be amenities such as paved roads, street lighting, waste disposal services, and potentially communal facilities. However, the negative feedback suggests that even basic infrastructure and maintenance may be lacking at Summit Village.
The location of Summit Village at 8461 Perry Hwy in Erie, PA, places it within the Erie metropolitan area, offering access to city amenities and services. However, the internal environment and management of the park appear to be significant factors that outweigh the benefits of its location, based on the provided resident feedback.
For those in the 'RV parks near me' category considering a mobile home park for long-term living, it is essential to conduct thorough research and due diligence. The reviews for Summit Village strongly suggest that prospective residents should exercise extreme caution and seek detailed information and assurances from the management regarding the issues raised. Visiting the park in person to assess the conditions and attempting to speak with current residents (if possible) would be prudent steps before making any commitments.
There is no promotional information available for Summit Village in the provided reviews. The focus of the feedback is overwhelmingly negative, centered on maintenance problems, alleged mismanagement, and high costs relative to the perceived quality of living.
In conclusion, while Summit Village is a mobile home park located in Erie, PA, that might appear as a long-term residential option for those searching within the 'RV parks near me' category, the recent resident reviews paint a concerning picture. Allegations of unresolved sewage issues, lack of maintenance and on-site management, high rent, and significant water leaks are serious red flags. Local users considering Summit Village should be aware of these reported problems and are strongly advised to conduct thorough personal investigation and seek clear assurances from the management regarding these critical issues before making any decisions about residing there. The provided feedback suggests a potentially unsatisfactory living experience at this time.
To obtain any official information or response from the management of Summit Village, individuals can contact them at (814) 868-9069 or +1 814-868-9069. However, given the nature of the negative reviews, it would be wise to approach any information received with careful consideration and to seek independent verification of the conditions and management practices at the park.

Mar 06, 2025 · Shae ShaeManagement isn't even in erie. No maintenence. No property manager. Rent is close to if not the highest for a trailer park in erie. Major water leaks causing residents to pay an extreme amount to compensate for the water loss. No one is willing to talk about plans to fix the place but they've added demonstration trailers instead of fixing the major issues.
May 27, 2023 · Stephanie HarpsWhy does Brooklyn take so many pictures of single pieces of trash and share it online? Did she put it there? Is she wanting to hold the people that littered accountable or is she suggesting park management placed it all there? There's also a landfill up the hill. Trash blows. You could've just picked it up and made a positive impact on the community Brooklyn...
Aug 09, 2022 · Roger RVery run down homes & property, half the spots were empty, kids all over unattended yelling foul words at each other, blaring music, barking dogs tied outside in yards of all dirt, garbage & tipped over garbage cans all over, old tires stacked up next to houses, one chubby kid was sitting in the hole where a windiw used to be..eating & spitting food out on the ground thru the window. All the houses were the same drab colors except for 1 cute and cheery home painted the color of a bluebird. It was unreal that anyone would live there, it was like a movie depicting the worse trailer park. It's honestly the worst mobile home park I've seen. I was looking to buy a home but left after driving and seeing all that hot mess & a tenant telling me they pay the most lot rent in Summit Township.
Jul 06, 2018 · patricia catalanoLive in the park lot rent is $370 a month. Park has a small playground for kids with a basketball hoop. Right next to Casino. There are homes available for sale in the park.
