Creekside Mobile Home Park Introduce
Creekside Mobile Home Park is located at 16425 Dam Rd in Clearlake, California, situated in the scenic Lake County. While primarily a mobile home park, its location and certain aspects might be of interest to individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' who appreciate a community with potential for fishing and a friendly resident base, particularly within a senior-focused environment.
One former resident shares a positive experience of living at Creekside for two years, highlighting it as "a great place to fish" and noting the "friendly residence." This suggests that the park may offer access to fishing opportunities, likely due to its proximity to a creek or other water body, which could be a significant draw for those who enjoy angling. The reviewer also mentions having "many friends there," reinforcing the idea of a friendly and social community within the park. Furthermore, the personal connection formed by meeting "the man of my life there 5 years ago" speaks to the potential for positive social interactions and a strong sense of community at Creekside Mobile Home Park.
However, another former resident presents serious concerns regarding the park's management. This review, from someone who "use to live there," acknowledges the park's beauty but raises significant safety and management issues. The primary concern revolves around the park manager, identified as "Dan," who is described as not being suited for the role. The reviewer cites two "emergency Fire situations" during which the manager allegedly "left the park for 2 weeks" and "Did not shut off the main propane tank that provides the whole park." This is a severe safety oversight, as leaving a main propane supply active during a fire emergency could have catastrophic consequences for the residents and the park itself.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, the reviewer points out that Creekside Mobile Home Park is a "Senior Park with 80% disabled" residents. This demographic is often more vulnerable and reliant on responsible management for their safety and well-being. The reviewer, who worked as a care provider and stayed to assist those in need during these emergencies, underscores the potential danger and the apparent lack of appropriate action from the park manager in critical situations.
The stark contrast between the two reviews paints a complex picture of Creekside Mobile Home Park. On one hand, it appears to offer a beautiful location with opportunities for fishing and a friendly community atmosphere. On the other hand, there are serious allegations of mismanagement and neglect of safety protocols, particularly concerning during emergency situations in a park with a high percentage of senior and disabled residents.
For individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Clearlake area, the potential for fishing and a friendly community at Creekside might be appealing, especially for those who appreciate a quieter, senior-oriented environment for an extended stay. However, the serious safety concerns raised regarding the management's handling of fire emergencies cannot be ignored. RV travelers considering a stay at Creekside should inquire about the park's emergency protocols and the presence of trained staff to handle such situations.
The limited information does not provide details about the specific amenities and services offered at Creekside Mobile Home Park. Typically, mobile home parks may offer basic utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity hookups. Depending on the park, there might also be laundry facilities, common areas, and potentially recreational amenities. Given the mention of fishing, it's possible that the park has specific features related to water access or storage for fishing equipment. However, this is speculative and would need to be confirmed with the park management.

- Specifically ask about the management's training and procedures for handling emergencies, particularly fire situations, and how they ensure the safety of vulnerable residents.
- If possible, visit the park in person to assess the environment and, if the opportunity arises, speak with current residents to get a broader understanding of the community and their experiences with the management.
- For RVers, inquire about the size and type of RV sites available, the hookup facilities, and any amenities specifically catering to RV travelers.
Clearlake is the largest natural freshwater lake entirely within California, and the surrounding area offers various recreational opportunities. Creekside Mobile Home Park's location near Dam Rd suggests proximity to the lake or related waterways, potentially contributing to the fishing opportunities mentioned. The beauty of the area, as noted by one reviewer, could be an attractive feature for both residents and visitors.
However, the serious allegations against the park manager regarding safety and emergency response are critical concerns, especially for a senior park with a high percentage of disabled residents. Prospective residents and RVers must prioritize their safety and well-being when considering this park and should seek clear assurances from the management regarding these issues.
In conclusion, Creekside Mobile Home Park in Clearlake, CA, appears to offer a beautiful setting with a friendly community and fishing opportunities. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the park management's handling of emergency situations and the safety of the residents, particularly in light of the park being a senior community with a high percentage of disabled individuals. For those searching for 'RV parks near me' or considering mobile home living here, it is imperative to conduct thorough due diligence, directly address the safety concerns with the management, and seek assurances that appropriate protocols are in place to protect residents and visitors.

Creekside Mobile Home Park Reviews
It's a great place to fish and friendly residence. I have many friends there. And lived there for 2 years. Also met the man of my life there 5 years ago.
Sep 10, 2019 · Judith HarrisI use to live there there and it is beautiful. But the Manager is not for to be a manager. There has been 2 emergency Fire situations where he left the park for 2 weeks. Did not shut off the main propane tank that provides the whole park. Also it's a Senior Park with 80% disabled. I'm a care provider and I stayed to those who needed it. His name is Dan.
Jan 03, 2018 · Judith HarrisSpace rent is high for the area and goes up annually without written notice. Owner lives in Oregon and does not follow Calif Mobile Home Laws. Most residents are caring & friendly. Others are not thoughtful or considerate. This is an aged/disabled park. Amenities are included in rent, however unavailable to residents by mgmt decision rather than for repairs or other possible good reasons. Owner does not make contact info available though req'd by State Law.
