Lake Front Mobile Home & RV Park Introduce
For local individuals and families in the Clearlake, California area who are exploring housing options and searching within the category of "RV parks near me," it's important to understand that Lake Front Mobile Home & RV Park, located at 5545 Old Hwy 53, primarily caters to long-term residents and does not offer short-term space rentals for camping or similar purposes. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the park based on the available customer reviews, highlighting both the positive aspects experienced by some long-term residents and significant negative feedback regarding management and safety concerns.
Focus on Long-Term Residency: It is crucial to note from the outset that Lake Front Mobile Home & RV Park is geared towards long-term residents. According to one reviewer, "there are no short term space rental for camping and such," and "Everyone here is a longterm resident." This immediately distinguishes it from typical RV parks that accommodate overnight or short-stay travelers. Therefore, local users seeking temporary RV parking in Clearlake will need to look elsewhere.
Dual Housing Structure: The park features a distinct separation between housing types. The reviewer mentions that "The upper half of the park is all manufactured homes while the lower half is RV spaces." This indicates a community that accommodates both traditional mobile homes and recreational vehicles, albeit primarily on a long-term basis. This dual structure might foster a diverse community of residents with varying housing situations.
Lakeside Location with Limited Access: A significant feature of Lake Front Mobile Home & RV Park is its location "right on the lake" (presumably Clearlake). A lakeside setting often offers scenic views and a tranquil environment. However, it's important to note the limitations in lake access. The reviewer states that "there is no swimming and lake access it limited to a boat ramp and fishing from the fenced seawall." This means that while residents can enjoy the proximity to the lake for boating and fishing from the designated area, direct swimming access from the park is not available. This is a crucial consideration for those seeking a lakeside community with broader recreational water activities.
Peaceful Environment and Reasonable Rates (RV Section Perspective): From the perspective of a long-term RV resident of almost two years, the park is described as "mostly peaceful, pleasant and space rental is very reasonable." This suggests that at least within the RV section, residents can expect a relatively quiet and agreeable living environment, coupled with affordable space rental costs. Affordability is often a key factor for those choosing long-term RV or mobile home living.
Friendly and Supportive RV Resident Community: The same long-term RV resident also highlights a positive sense of community, stating, "The residents that live around me are very friendly and helpful and everyone looks out for each other." This neighborly atmosphere can significantly enhance the quality of life for residents, providing a sense of security and belonging within the park.
Serious Negative Feedback Regarding Park Management: In stark contrast to the positive experiences shared by one long-term RV resident, another reviewer expresses extreme dissatisfaction with the park manager, Bill. The reviewer uses highly critical language, calling Bill "a complete pos" and alleging that he is "Always looking for a problem" and engages in excessive surveillance by "Drives around staring 5-6 times a day." These are serious accusations that could indicate a negative and potentially hostile management style.
Allegations of Unreasonable Rules and Inconsistent Enforcement: The negative review further claims that the manager enforces arbitrary rules not officially documented, such as a limit of "only 2 bags of trash out a week even though there is no rule anywhere about that." Such inconsistencies and the imposition of undocumented rules can lead to frustration and conflict between residents and management.
Significant Safety and Community Concerns: The most concerning allegations in the negative review relate to safety and the overall character of the community. The reviewer claims "Tweekers everwhere and he actually employs them there for side jobs." If true, this raises significant safety concerns for residents and could indicate a lax approach to maintaining a secure living environment. The term "tweekers" is a derogatory slang term often associated with individuals using methamphetamine, and their alleged presence and employment within the park could be deeply troubling for other residents.
Lack of Advertised Amenities: The negative review also points out a discrepancy between advertised amenities and reality, stating that an "Advertised laundry room on site but is permanently closed." The absence of a functioning laundry facility can be a significant inconvenience for long-term residents, especially in a community that does not offer short-term stays where guests might rely on off-site facilities.
Overall Negative Recommendation: Based on their negative experiences, this reviewer strongly advises against visiting or living at Lake Front Mobile Home & RV Park, stating, "Not even a good place to visit. Couldnt pay me to live there." This strong condemnation underscores the severity of the issues they perceived within the park.
Conflicting Perspectives and the Need for Careful Evaluation: The vastly different experiences reported by the two reviewers highlight the complexity of assessing Lake Front Mobile Home & RV Park. While one long-term RV resident describes a peaceful, affordable, and friendly community, another paints a picture of problematic management, potential safety concerns, and a lack of advertised amenities. Potential long-term residents will need to carefully weigh these conflicting perspectives and conduct thorough due diligence.
Recommendations for Potential Long-Term Residents: Given the significant discrepancies in the reviews, local users considering long-term residency at Lake Front Mobile Home & RV Park should:
- Contact the management directly: Call (707) 994-1194 or +1 707-994-1194 to inquire about long-term space availability for mobile homes or RVs, rental rates, amenities, rules and regulations, and to directly address the concerns raised in the negative review regarding management style and safety.
- Visit the park in person: Conduct a thorough site visit to assess the overall environment, the condition of the park, the proximity and accessibility of the lake (including the boat ramp and seawall), and the presence and condition of any advertised amenities like the laundry room.
- Attempt to speak with current long-term residents: If possible, try to speak with residents in both the mobile home and RV sections (outside of management presence) to get a broader range of perspectives on living in the community, their experiences with management, and any safety concerns they may have.
- Inquire about security measures: Ask about any security protocols or measures in place within the park.
- Clarify rules and regulations in writing: Ensure that all rules and regulations, including those regarding trash disposal and any other aspects of park living, are provided in writing before committing to long-term residency.
Promotional Information Based on Available Data (with significant caveats due to negative feedback):
- Lakeside Location: Situated on Clearlake, offering potential scenic views.
- Reasonable Space Rental Rates (RV Section - per one review): Affordable long-term living option for RVs.
- Friendly RV Resident Community (per one review): Potential for a supportive and neighborly environment within the RV section.
For local users seeking long-term mobile home or RV living near Clearlake, Lake Front Mobile Home & RV Park offers a lakeside location and potentially affordable rates in the RV section. However, significant negative feedback regarding the park manager, alleged safety concerns, and the reported lack of advertised amenities cannot be ignored. Thorough personal investigation and direct communication with the management and residents are crucial to determine if this park is a suitable and safe long-term living option.

Feb 20, 2023 · Tim MayoQuiet at times, when the kids are not kicking a ball against your car. People are nice when you get to know them. Only one problem no one want to get to know you.
Jun 25, 2019 · Frank CabreraMobile/motorhomepark right on the water In the downtown area of clear Lake off of Lakeshore drive. Convenient because of a central location in clear Lake Nice that it has access to the water directly plus access to public transportation if needed. Clean simile well maintained sites that are relatively small but large enough for a decent size motorhome or fifth wheeler. I'm unsure of the going rates but at a time of my visit they were apparently completely booked.
