El Morro Homes Introduce
Located at 3655 El Morro Rd Lot 86 in Colorado Springs, CO 80910, USA, El Morro Homes offers a residential setting for individuals and families seeking long-term housing. For those searching within the platform category of "RV parks near me" and considering a more permanent living arrangement beyond the typical short-term stays associated with recreational vehicle parks, El Morro Homes provides a manufactured home community. However, it is crucial to consider the available customer reviews, which raise significant concerns about the management and overall living experience.
The limited customer feedback available for El Morro Homes paints a concerning picture, particularly regarding the management and their interactions with residents and prospective residents. One reviewer describes the staff as "extremely rude," recounting an experience where the staff member's demeanor shifted from unfriendly to overly friendly upon realizing the reviewer was a potential tenant. This suggests a transactional approach where the focus is solely on securing rent rather than providing genuine customer service. The reviewer concludes that the staff "only want your money and do not want to provide service," which is a serious indictment of the management's priorities.
Another, more detailed review from a resident offers a critical perspective on the overall living experience, describing it as an "OKAY place to live" but noting that "nostalgia gives it more credit than it deserves." The central issue highlighted in this review is the "truly awful" management, exemplified by their handling of resident vehicle towing. The reviewer recounts a personal experience of being unfairly towed from the park's parking lot by a towing company ("MNS TOWING") seemingly favored by the management. Despite residents being informed that parking permits were no longer required, the towing company, allegedly not informed of this change by the management, towed the resident's car from a "permit parking only" spot. Upon addressing this with the management, the response was reportedly dismissive, citing a maintenance staff departure as the reason for the continued presence of the outdated signs and the lack of communication with the towing company. The reviewer expresses significant frustration over the management's inaction and lack of responsibility, stating that they "sit in their desks and do nothing but collect the monthly rent." This incident is presented as a prime example of the management's failure to communicate important information and their apparent disregard for the resulting inconvenience and expense to residents.
The reviewer also alludes to "a few other examples in regards to their unfair towing policies," suggesting that the recounted incident is not isolated. This raises serious concerns about the clarity and fairness of parking regulations within El Morro Homes and the management's role in ensuring these regulations are consistently and fairly enforced.
Considering the category "RV parks near me," it's important to reiterate that El Morro Homes functions as a long-term residential community for manufactured homes, not a short-term RV park. While both may involve leasing land, the services and features differ significantly. RV parks typically offer temporary hookups and amenities for travelers, whereas manufactured home communities provide the infrastructure for permanent living, with residents usually responsible for their own home maintenance. The negative reviews for El Morro Homes do not provide specific details about the park's amenities or services beyond parking. However, basic expectations for a long-term mobile home park would include utility connections (water, sewer, electricity) for each lot and maintenance of common areas. The issues raised in the reviews suggest potential shortcomings in the management's responsibility for maintaining a fair and well-communicated environment for residents.
Features of living at El Morro Homes are difficult to ascertain positively based on the provided reviews. While the location in Colorado Springs offers access to city amenities, the negative feedback overshadows any potential benefits of the physical environment itself. The lack of positive comments regarding community atmosphere or park amenities suggests that these may not be strong selling points. The primary features highlighted by the reviews are negative: rude staff, poor communication, and unfair towing practices.
Promotional information is entirely absent from the provided text. Given the strongly negative sentiment expressed in the available reviews, it is unlikely that the park is actively promoting itself based on current resident experiences. Prospective residents would need to contact El Morro Homes directly at (719) 591-0202 or +1 719-591-0202 to inquire about lot availability, lease terms, and associated costs. However, it would be prudent for potential residents to approach such inquiries with caution and to seek further information from independent sources, such as current residents, if possible.
In conclusion, the available information paints a concerning picture of El Morro Homes in Colorado Springs. The reviews highlight significant issues with staff rudeness, poor management practices, unfair towing policies stemming from a lack of communication, and a general sense that management prioritizes rent collection over resident well-being. While it functions as a long-term residential community, distinct from short-term "RV parks near me," the negative feedback raises serious red flags for potential residents. Thorough due diligence, including direct inquiries and, if possible, conversations with current residents, is strongly recommended before considering El Morro Homes as a long-term living option.

El Morro Homes Reviews
Staff is extremely rude. She thought I was a tenant until she found out I was looking for a place to rent, and then she became all kinds of friendly. They only want your money and do not want to provide service.
Jan 16, 2025 · Ken KlimasAn OKAY place to live(nostalgia gives it more credit than it deserves). However, the management is truly awful. They will sit there while the park residents get unfairly towed by their god-awful towing company(MNS TOWING). A personal example of this is when I got towed from THEIR parking lot (which they aren’t responsible for anything that happens there even though they’re the ones that made us park there)I was parked on one of the spots which says “permit parking only” but they had told us days prior that we no longer need the permit to park there. Because of that I confidently parked my car there one night and to my surprise the next morning it was no longer there. I called their towing company to check if they had towed it and they did I asked the towing company “why?We no longer need permits to park there” and he replied with “they haven’t told us anything about that so we’re just going with what we were originally told” after hearing this I go to management office and tell them about this. Their response is the worst response to this and only made me even angrier. They replied with “oh yeah it’s because we haven’t had a chance to take down the situation to take down the signs because our maintenance guy quit”(and those signs are still up right now its been over a month or two)despite this they should’ve had some sort of communication with the towing company to inform them of the new guidelines but no nothing they sit in their desks and do nothing but collect the monthly rent. There are a few other examples in regards to their unfair towing policies but this is the one that sticks out the most
Aug 26, 2023 · carlos sandovalI've lived here over 20 years. Seen a lot of managers and Jean is the best. I love it here. Yes, some changes have been made but the owner (who doesn't live here) makes those rules. Jean, the manager has to enforce them. That's not an easy job, she's not a babysitter. You have to know when rules/laws are being broken and when to call the Police. Some reviews have said it's not clean. It is clean but some lots are trashy, like mine. I'm working on that. I'm handicapped so it takes me time to get things done.Juan the maintenance guy CAN do a lot of things. Some things require a license. Some things are the parks responsibility and some things are the mobile home owner's responsibility. He's always been available to help me.I own my mobile home so I don't know what it's like to rent here. The only thing I don't like is their are too many large dogs running around. One of the rules is no dogs over 14" and you can only have one dog. Everyone who lives here has had to sign a copy of the rules yet they move in with their big dogs anyway. The other thing is I would like to meet the owner. He won't even come to the phone. I have questions for him. So, Chris, grow a backbone and talk to me. I'm willing to come to Denver. One on one for 30 minutes.
May 12, 2021 · Jan DavisI own a small plumbing company and got a call late friday night about an emergency leak at one of the mobile homes there. I didn’t see any sign or anything saying if you park in front of the house your working on that you would get towed within a few minutes of parking. I also have a handicap placard. I went in to the house and got the water back on, Scheduled a time to come back the next day to permanently fix the issue but I’m not going to be able to go back in fear that my vehicle is going to get towed. I guess I won’t be going back there any time soon. How about getting some signs or giving a warning to the guy that’s trying to protect your tenants and your property from damage instead of having a tow truck sneak up and basically steal a guys vehicle.
Jul 23, 2022 · Randy LargentI lived here for 3 years. They have annual Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Halloween parties. The maintenance man goes above and beyond his duties 100%. I did not like the no off street parking and not allowing more than 2 cars parked in front of the house (even if there was room). Although the location isn't in the best neighborhood, I never experienced any issues.
