Escapees RV Club Introduce
For local users exploring "RV parks near me" in the Livingston, Texas vicinity, Escapees RV Club, located at 100 Rainbow Dr, Livingston, TX 77399, USA, is a well-known organization that offers more than just a physical RV park. It provides a range of services and resources aimed at the RVing community. While traditionally recognized for fostering a sense of community and offering educational resources, recent customer feedback regarding one of their key services, the mail forwarding, warrants careful consideration for prospective users.
Escapees RV Club has historically positioned itself as a comprehensive resource for RVers, offering benefits such as RV parks (though the provided information focuses on their mail service rather than the physical park itself), mail forwarding, education, and community networking. The address listed is for their headquarters in Livingston, which likely serves as a hub for their various operations.
However, recent reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the functionality and cost-effectiveness of their mail forwarding service. Multiple users have expressed significant dissatisfaction, labeling it as a "scam" and a "pathetic company." These strong negative sentiments should be carefully evaluated by anyone considering using this particular service offered by Escapees RV Club.
One of the primary complaints revolves around the billing structure of the mail forwarding. According to a reviewer, users are assigned a Florida address, and for every piece of mail received there, including what is described as "junk mail," a $1 fee is charged to forward it to the user's Texas address. This per-item forwarding fee can quickly accumulate, leading to unexpected and potentially substantial costs. The reviewer highlighted that this charge applies even to unsolicited mail sent to the user's legal address, which they are already paying for.
Further compounding the issue, this user reported difficulties in managing their account and adding funds. The Escapees RV Club app allegedly does not support adding money, and the website is described as outdated and non-functional on mobile devices, making online account management cumbersome or impossible. This forces users to rely on phone calls to add funds, with the added frustration of calls allegedly going unanswered. The ultimate consequence described was account cancellation due to a negative balance resulting from these fees, even though the user had reportedly paid for a full year of service.
Another long-term user, who had been with the service since September 2024, also expressed serious doubts about the company and indicated actively seeking an alternative. Their grievances include instances of mail being sent to incorrect addresses on two occasions, with the blame attributed to a construction project 200 miles away – an explanation the reviewer found unconvincing. Furthermore, mail forward notifications reportedly ceased, and despite multiple attempts to rectify the issue, the user continued to not receive them.
This reviewer emphasized that their prior experiences with other mail forwarding services were consistently positive, with no such issues encountered. In contrast, their expenses with Escapees' mail service over just four months allegedly exceeded what they paid for an entire year with other companies. Additionally, they reported not receiving a military discount that was advertised.
The same reviewer also raised concerns about the requirement of being an Escapees member to use the mail service, yet repeatedly being questioned about their membership status. They also noted a lack of proactive communication regarding a company buyout, learning about it through word of mouth before receiving a belated email. Finally, they pointed out limitations in mail service availability, with no mail pickup on Saturdays and no mail delivery on any holiday, even when the postal service is operating.
Considering this detailed and strongly negative feedback regarding the mail forwarding service, local users seeking "RV parks near me" in Livingston who might also be considering utilizing Escapees RV Club's mail services should proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence. The issues raised concerning unexpected fees, unreliable delivery, poor account management, and inadequate customer support are significant red flags.
It is important to note that these reviews specifically address the mail forwarding service and do not necessarily reflect the quality of any physical RV park facilities that Escapees RV Club might operate in the Livingston area or elsewhere. However, for RVers who rely heavily on reliable and affordable mail forwarding, the experiences shared by these users should be a primary consideration.
If you are interested in learning more about Escapees RV Club, particularly their RV park facilities (if any at this location) or other services, you can contact them at (936) 327-8873 or mobile at +1 936-327-8873. However, when inquiring, it would be prudent to specifically ask about their mail forwarding service, its associated costs, billing procedures, reliability, and customer support protocols, in light of the recent negative feedback.
In conclusion, while Escapees RV Club is a well-known entity in the RVing community, recent customer reviews highlight significant problems with their mail forwarding service. Local users seeking "RV parks near me" in Livingston should be aware of these issues if they were also considering using this particular service. The feedback points to concerns regarding:
- Unexpected and potentially high per-item mail forwarding fees.
- Difficulties with account management and adding funds.
- Allegedly outdated and non-functional online platforms.
- Poor customer service experiences.
- Instances of mail being sent to incorrect addresses and unreliable delivery.
- Lack of transparency regarding company changes.
- Limitations in mail service availability on weekends and holidays.
Prospective users are strongly advised to seek further information and potentially explore alternative mail forwarding services before committing to Escapees RV Club based solely on its general reputation within the RV community. The recent experiences shared by other RVers suggest that caution and thorough investigation are warranted.

Escapees RV Club Reviews
DO NOT USE THE MAIL SERVICE! Such a scam. You pay for a Florida address and then any mail that goes there they charge you a $1 to send it to Tx. So EVERY piece of junk mail you get at YOUR legal address you paid for costs you an extra $1. Which adds up. Then when THEIR scam runs your account negative they will cancel you even though you paid in full for a year. And of course you can’t add money on the app. The website is straight out of the 90s and doesn’t work worth a darn on a phone so you can’t there either. So you have to endlessly call (they don’t answer) to put money in. And now you’re stuck arguing with an ignorant woman about your account being cancelled.RUN AWAY from this pathetic company.
Apr 09, 2025 · Haulin BWe have used this service since September 2024 and I am having serious doubts about this company. I am actively looking for an alternative. Why? THEY sent mail to an incorrect address twice then blamed it on a construction project 200 miles away. The mail forward notifications stopped and even after informing them 3 times I am still not receiving them. Escapees is not the first mail service that we have used, we NEVER had any issues with any of the other companies we dealt with ever. I have spent more money on mail in 4 months than in an entire year with other companies. I never received the military discount they advertise. I was told I had to be an escapees member to use the mail service but repeatedly asked if I am a member or just using the mail svc. At no time were we informed that they were being bought out, we only learned about it by word of mouth then after the deal we got an email. There is no mail pick up on Saturdays, there is no mail on any Holiday or hint of a holiday even when the Post Office is delivering. I am not even sure why i am giving them 2 stars. Any service they offer i can do myself in less time than I waste trying to stay on top of this mess. At this point I see this as just another scam to take advantage of full time RVrs.
Jan 18, 2025 · Scott SteinBeen using Escapees Mail Service for 1 year so far while we explore the U.S. in our RV. The scanning service is great, you just don't want to worry about mail on the road. The mail service charges are reasonable. You will need to monitor your scans vs. what needs to be mailed, if u know what it is..just mail it!! We usually do FedEx 2 -Day. The Staff are always helpful and responsive.
Nov 16, 2024 · Jim NorrisThis is BY FAR the best mail forwarding company in the USA. Whether it's South Dakota, Florida or Texas. I have used a total of 5 forwarding companies. This is the one with the best service and best rates.
Jan 28, 2025 · AJA bit run down for the headquarters of a national rv club. I had a hard time locating a package and one woman was a bit rude about it, but I found it eventually aftermuch persistence. The tenants and guests are super friendly and helpful and I really met some great folks. Great hiking nearby in the Big Thicket and Livingston Lake. There is a SmartWeigh there which is amazing once you get someone to tell you how to sign up. Kris who does the weighing is filled with tons of information about rigs. Her knowledge was much appreciated.I hope this dated club can pull itself into modern times.
