Floridian Sandalwood Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the St. Cloud, Florida area and considering options for both short-term and potentially long-term stays? Take a look at Floridian Sandalwood, a mobile home park and RV community located at 5150 Boggy Creek Rd, St Cloud, FL 34771. Based on the available reviews, Floridian Sandalwood presents a somewhat contrasting picture, with one visitor expressing significant concerns about the park's cleanliness and maintenance, while a long-term resident offers high praise for its quiet and secure environment.
One visitor who toured Floridian Sandalwood had a very negative initial impression. Their description paints a picture of a poorly maintained environment, stating, "I went for a tour and felt like I was entering a trash can!" This strong statement is followed by specific observations, including "so much trash and overgrown trees," as well as "all of the clutter on almost every single one of the lots." The reviewer expresses dismay at the apparent living conditions, noting, "It is so sad to see that people are ok living like this." This feedback suggests a potential issue with the overall cleanliness and upkeep of individual lots and common areas.
The negative review further highlights concerns about waste management within the community. The visitor observed that "Even the business dumpsters, despite having 3 big ones, were all overflowing and trash on the floor." This indicates a potential problem with waste disposal capacity or frequency of service, which could contribute to the overall uncleanliness observed. Based on these observations, the reviewer strongly advises against recommending Floridian Sandalwood.
However, it is crucial to consider all available perspectives. In contrast to the negative tour experience, a resident who has lived at Floridian Sandalwood for the past 12 years offers a very different assessment. This long-term resident expresses a deep affection for the community, stating, "I love the place and since I am 76 years old I will probably die here." This strong sentiment suggests a significant level of satisfaction and comfort with living at Floridian Sandalwood.
The long-term resident specifically praises the park's quiet atmosphere, noting, "The park is very quiet." This tranquility can be a significant draw for individuals seeking a peaceful living environment, away from the noise and activity of more transient areas. Additionally, the resident highlights the security of the community, stating, "since it is a gated community and there is no through traffic going through it." The gated access and lack of through traffic can contribute to a safer and more private living experience for residents.
Drawing on their extensive experience with RV parks, the long-term resident, who has been living in an RV for the past 25 years, offers a professional perspective: "This is one of the best." This endorsement from someone familiar with various RV living environments suggests that Floridian Sandalwood has positive attributes that outweigh the negative impressions of the touring visitor, at least for long-term RV residents.
The discrepancy between these two reviews highlights the subjective nature of individual experiences and perceptions. It is possible that the conditions observed by the touring visitor were temporary or localized, or that the long-term resident has become accustomed to aspects that a new visitor might find off-putting. Alternatively, the experiences might genuinely differ based on the specific area of the park visited or the time of the visit.
Given that Floridian Sandalwood is described as a mobile home park, it likely offers a mix of permanent and potentially long-term RV living options. The fact that a 25-year RV living veteran considers it "one of the best" suggests that it caters well to the needs of RV residents seeking a more stable community environment. The gated aspect adds a layer of security that can be particularly appealing to long-term residents.
The available information does not provide details about specific services or amenities offered within Floridian Sandalwood, such as laundry facilities, recreational areas, pet policies, or community events. Similarly, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. In conclusion, Floridian Sandalwood in St. Cloud presents a community with contrasting reviews. While a visitor reported significant concerns about trash and overgrown conditions, a long-term RV resident praises its quiet, gated environment and considers it among the best RV parks. This divergence in opinion underscores the importance of prospective residents conducting their own thorough investigation. If you are seeking a quiet, gated mobile home and RV community for potentially long-term living in the St. Cloud area, Floridian Sandalwood warrants further inquiry to determine if it meets your individual standards and preferences.

Floridian Sandalwood Reviews
I went for a tour and felt like I was entering a trash can! It has so much trash and overgrown trees, not counting all of the clutter on almost every single one of the lots. It is so sad to see that people are ok living like this. Even the business dumpsters, despite having 3 big ones, were all overflowing and trash on the floor. Definitely not recommending it.
Apr 29, 2025 · JC GLAMI have lived at the Floridian for the past 12 years. I love the place and since I am 76 years old I will probably die here. The park is very quiet and since it is a gated community and there is no through traffic going through it. I have been living in an RV for the last 25 years and I am very familiar with RV parks. This is one of the best.
Jan 18, 2025 · Tom SeilerStopped in to visit my sister. Every single time I used the restrooms or shower house there was no toilet paper. My sister has mentioned it to the office who instead of simply handling the situation and doing my her job, she chose to argue about it. Florida administrative code chapter 64E - 15 says that are in fact required to provide toilet paper and a sink with soap or sanitation to clean your hands. My sister also voiced her concerns about the management telling the guests that they will be upping the monthly rent. In the middle of the lease. Absolutely illegal. At the same time, the management telling the office to make the residents aware they will no longer takedebot or credit cards of any kind. Cash or check only. Do what now?!? I hope management reads this and understands. They charge upwards of $1000/month and can't ensure toilet paper?!? GTFOH. $1000/mo, 150 RV spots... You do the math. Smh. Not everyone is desperate for a place to stay. Get over yourselves.
Sep 28, 2024 · Emily ElliottTo be totally fair, and up front ...I don't live here. My experiences here have been short-lived,as I visited sandalwood twice ... to pick up or bring home a coworker, and hang out for a couple hours with them at a time. So I have only seen it during very early morning or in the dark. At night if you don't know where you're going ,the roads are not lit. I use the term roads loosely, they're more like paved trails. So you have to know where you're going. The units are very close together in my opinion and there's quite a few in this lot... it's bigger than it looks. As far as the units go I can only speak for the co-worker that I drop off ...his unit is older than myself, either very late '60s or early '70s. And is very similar to a lot of the trailers that are at this park. There are also lots with RVs, usually class C's on them.My coworker's unit has been well used over the years and is pretty rough around the edges and they're rounded edges if you know what I mean lol. The neighbors are nice enough and if you're a long-termer here, you get to know everybody, and their business which I don't think is unusual. The grounds are not well kept. It all depends on who you're living next to, or the neighbors around you. If they're clean, you have a clean area around you ,if not .....I'm not quite sure when the trash is picked up . My friend that lives there says it all depends on what area you live in and most of the areas could use some friendly litter pickup on a weekend. The rent is pretty cheap in comparison to the upscale ZIP code that surrounds, so it's a good value I suppose... and it is in a great location, pretty central to everything that you need to get to.So as far as value goes, I think it's a great place if you're budget minded for housing, especially in today's world.Would I live here? Honestly ,I think I would if my financial situation and or job situation got to a certain point. Still too early to know how 6staff interacts and works, as My coworker is a new tenant. So time will tell and I will update this post if it's a negative situation... but for now the people at the front desk were very friendly.
