Friendly Village Mobilehome Community Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Milpitas area, Friendly Village Mobilehome Community, located at 120 Dixon Landing Rd, Milpitas, CA 95035, USA, presents itself as an "all age community" that is also "pet friendly." Situated at the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay, this community boasts "well maintained grounds and lush landscaping," suggesting an aesthetically pleasing and cared-for environment for its residents, including those in RVs seeking a long-term stay.
The surrounding city of Milpitas offers a wealth of recreational opportunities and amenities that enhance the living experience at Friendly Village Mobilehome Community. The city maintains thirty-one community parks, providing ample green spaces for relaxation and outdoor activities. For pet owners, there is a dedicated dog park, which is a significant advantage for socializing pets and enjoying off-leash exercise. Tennis enthusiasts will appreciate the availability of 24 tennis courts within the city.
Milpitas also provides a multitude of outstanding recreational programs, including aquatics for swimming and water-based activities, cultural arts and theater for those interested in creative pursuits and entertainment, various sports leagues and activities for different age groups and interests, youth programming to engage younger residents, and senior activities and services catering to the needs of older adults. This wide array of city-provided amenities ensures that residents of Friendly Village Mobilehome Community have access to a diverse range of leisure and social opportunities beyond the confines of the park itself.
Furthermore, the location of Friendly Village Mobilehome Community offers excellent connectivity via public transportation. This ease of access allows residents to readily enjoy the best of what the major urban centers of San Francisco and San Jose have to offer, expanding the possibilities for entertainment, dining, cultural experiences, and employment opportunities. The convenience of public transit is a significant benefit for those who wish to explore the wider Bay Area without the challenges of navigating and parking personal vehicles.
A resident who "reluctantly bought a place here" ultimately found it to be "not a bad place," highlighting its quiet nature and the commendable efforts of the management. Despite acknowledging some drawbacks, this long-term resident's overall positive assessment speaks to the fundamental livability of the community. The park is described as "very quiet," which can be a major advantage for those seeking a peaceful and tranquil living environment in their RV.
The management of Friendly Village Mobilehome Community is credited for their hard work and dedication, especially considering that a small team of only three people are reportedly responsible for managing all aspects of the community. The resident acknowledges that the management "try hard" and "really seem to care," which is a positive indicator of their commitment to maintaining a well-functioning and supportive environment for residents.
Despite the positive aspects, the resident also raises three specific complaints. The first concerns the presence of numerous cats, despite community rules prohibiting outside pets. The issue is compounded by some residents feeding stray cats, leading to problems such as cat urine odors in carports and cats congregating on vehicles. This could be a significant nuisance for residents who are not fond of cats or who experience property damage or hygiene issues due to their presence.
The second complaint relates to cigarette smoke. The resident reports frequently encountering a "wall of cigarette smoke" upon leaving their home and experiencing smoke drifting in when windows are open. This can be a major concern for individuals sensitive to smoke or those seeking a smoke-free living environment. The prevalence of smoking within the community could detract from the overall quality of air and enjoyment of outdoor spaces for some residents.
The third issue raised is the perceived "lack of community" spirit. The resident notes the absence of a formal community association and the early closure of the community center at 5:00 PM, which coincides with the time when most working residents would be returning home and potentially have time for social activities. This limited access to the community center during typical after-work hours may hinder social interaction and the development of a stronger sense of community within the park.
Despite these complaints, the resident concludes that Friendly Village Mobilehome Community is "better than a lot of other places I have lived," emphasizing its safety, quietness, and the efforts of the management. This suggests that while there are areas for potential improvement, the fundamental aspects of the community, such as safety and tranquility, are valued by its residents.
While the reviews primarily focus on the experiences of mobile home owners, the description of Friendly Village Mobilehome Community as an "all age community" that is "pet friendly" and boasts well-maintained grounds in a convenient location near city amenities and transportation suggests that it may also accommodate RVs for long-term stays. RV owners seeking a quiet, pet-friendly environment with good access to the wider Milpitas and Bay Area may find this community worth considering.
However, it is crucial for potential RV residents to inquire specifically about the park's policies regarding RVs, the availability of RV spaces and hookups (such as water, electricity, and sewage), any restrictions on the size or type of RVs permitted, and the terms for long-term stays. It would also be prudent to ask about the enforcement of pet rules and the management's approach to addressing issues like stray animals and smoking in common areas.
No promotional information is available in the provided reviews. In conclusion, Friendly Village Mobilehome Community in Milpitas offers an all-age, pet-friendly environment with well-maintained grounds and convenient access to city amenities and transportation. It is described as a generally quiet community managed by a dedicated team. However, potential residents should be aware of reported issues with stray cats, cigarette smoke, and limited access to the community center for after-work socializing. Jul 20, 2023 · Alex Chow (Alex Chow Homes)I reluctantly bought a place here and found it to be not a bad place. Very quiet and fairly well managed considering the fact that there are only 3 people that I know of that do EVERYTHING. The management deserves credit for what they do. I can only think of 3 complaints:1, The cats... Even though the rules state that you are not supposed to have outside pets, this doesn't stop people from not only having cats that are free to roam in and out of their homes but several people feed strays. My carport always smells like cat pee and they seem to think that the hood of my car is the place to hang out.2, The smokers, a lot of the time when I walk out the door I am hit with a wall of cigarette smoke. and when I open a window cigarette smoke lofts in.3. Lack of community there is no association and they close the community center at 5:00pm which is when most people would come home from work.Setting that all aside, this place is better than a lot of other places I have lived it is safe and quiet and best of all it is managed by people that try hard really seem to care.
Feb 08, 2018 · Dave “D Mac” MacManagement pushy. Controls parking spot for her and friends up front visitor area. Don't park your vehicle outside in front of house for even 5 minutes because you come out your vehicle is towed away fast you don't even hear them come and towing your vehicle. Tow company charge over priced higher then other tow companies and think manager gets a cut of it. Other than that nice clean place friendly people
