Green Cove Manufacturered Home Community Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Huntsville, Alabama area, Green Cove Manufactured Home Community is located at 325 Green Cove Rd SE, Huntsville, AL 35803, USA. It's important to note that the primary designation is a "Manufactured Home Community," which typically indicates a residential area primarily for individuals and families living in manufactured homes on a longer-term basis. However, some such communities may also accommodate RVs for varying durations. When considering "RV parks near me," understanding the nature and policies of a community is essential to determine if it meets your specific needs.
Public Feedback and Potential Considerations:
The provided information includes two customer reviews that offer critical perspectives on Green Cove Manufactured Home Community. These reviews detail negative experiences and raise potential concerns for anyone considering visiting or residing in the community, including those who might be looking for "RV parks near me" for either short-term visits or longer stays.
The first review describes a highly negative incident involving the towing of a visitor's car. The reviewer, who was visiting family residing in the community, parked briefly on the side of their relative's yard and returned within five minutes to find their car being hooked up to a tow truck. Despite explaining the situation and the short duration of parking, the tow truck driver allegedly insisted on a $150 cash payment to release the vehicle on-site, or the car would be taken to an impound yard with higher fees. The reviewer highlights that their car was not blocking any traffic and that they found the cash-only demand suspicious. Furthermore, an elderly resident reportedly shared a similar experience involving his daughter's car being towed while dropping off medication. The reviewer strongly criticizes both the tow truck company and the mobile home park's policy of allegedly allowing immediate towing of visitors' vehicles, suggesting a lack of consideration for guests. The policy cited by the tow company was a limit of two vehicles per home at any time, raising questions about visitor parking.
The second review alleges discrimination based on ethnicity, with the reviewer stating they were "discriminated against by the management here because I am Latino." This is a serious accusation that, if accurate, would be a significant concern for anyone considering moving into or visiting the community. It suggests potential issues with the management's treatment of residents or visitors from diverse backgrounds.
Implications for RV Users Seeking "RV Parks Near Me":
Given these two negative reviews, local users searching for "RV parks near me" should exercise extreme caution when considering Green Cove Manufactured Home Community. The first review highlights potential issues with visitor policies and the aggressive enforcement of parking rules, which could directly impact RV travelers visiting residents or even those considering a short-term stay. The alleged towing incident suggests a potentially unwelcoming environment for guests.
The second review's accusation of discrimination is even more serious and raises concerns about the overall inclusivity and fairness within the community. While these are individual accounts, they serve as red flags that potential visitors or residents should not ignore. If you are looking for "RV parks near me" that offer a welcoming and respectful environment for all, these reviews suggest that Green Cove Manufactured Home Community may not meet those criteria.
Environment and Potential Features:
As the primary designation is a "Manufactured Home Community," the environment is likely geared towards longer-term residential living rather than the typical amenities found in short-term RV parks or campgrounds. The community likely consists of individual lots leased to homeowners of manufactured homes. The overall atmosphere might be more akin to a residential neighborhood than a vacation or short-stay destination.
Potential features that might be present, though not confirmed, could include:
- Individual utility hookups (electricity, water, sewer) at each lot, primarily designed for manufactured homes. The suitability and availability of these for RVs would need to be verified.
- Basic infrastructure such as paved roads within the community.
- Potentially some communal areas, but these would likely be geared towards the long-term residents (e.g., a community center, playground). The availability and accessibility of such amenities for short-term RV guests, if permitted, are unknown.
- The presence of specific RV-focused amenities like dump stations, dedicated RV parking areas, or campgrounds-style restrooms and showers is not indicated and may not exist.
Local users seeking "RV parks near me" for short-term stays typically look for facilities designed specifically for RVs. It is unclear whether Green Cove Manufactured Home Community offers such facilities or if they primarily cater to long-term manufactured home residents.
Services and Management:
The first review indirectly mentions the management through the alleged contract with the tow truck company and the enforcement of parking rules. The second review directly accuses the management of discrimination. These accounts suggest a potentially strict or even negative management style, particularly concerning visitors and possibly certain demographic groups.
Typical services in a manufactured home community might include:
- Lot maintenance (potentially).
- Waste management.
- Community rule enforcement.
- Management office for resident inquiries.
However, the level of service and support for short-term RV guests, if they are accommodated, is unknown. The negative reviews raise concerns about the responsiveness and fairness of the management.
Promotional Information:
No promotional information is provided for Green Cove Manufactured Home Community in the given data. This lack of promotional material, combined with the serious negative feedback, suggests that potential users will need to rely heavily on their own research and direct inquiries. It would be prudent to seek out additional reviews or testimonials from various sources to get a broader perspective, keeping in mind that the provided reviews are individual experiences.
Recommendation for Local Users:
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Huntsville, AL, the information available for Green Cove Manufactured Home Community presents significant concerns. The alleged aggressive towing policy affecting visitors and the serious accusation of discrimination by management are red flags that should not be taken lightly.
It is strongly recommended that potential RV users:
- Exercise extreme caution when considering this community for any type of stay, whether short-term RV parking to visit someone or a longer-term arrangement.
- Contact Green Cove Manufactured Home Community directly using the provided phone number to inquire specifically about their policies on RV stays (if any), visitor parking regulations, and to address the concerns raised in the public reviews.
- Seek additional reviews and information from other online platforms or local RV communities to see if there are corroborating accounts or more balanced perspectives.
- Prioritize exploring other "RV parks near me" in the Huntsville area that have more positive or neutral feedback and clearly outline their services and policies for RV travelers.
- If visiting residents, discuss the parking situation and visitor policies in detail with your hosts before your visit to avoid potential issues.
In conclusion, while Green Cove Manufactured Home Community is located in Huntsville, Alabama, the serious negative feedback regarding visitor towing policies and alleged discrimination necessitates a very cautious approach for local users searching for "RV parks near me." Thorough investigation and consideration of alternative options are strongly advised.

Green Cove Manufacturered Home Community Reviews
I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO. Today I planned to visit my Aunt, Uncle and their small autistic child so we could go to a water park. I live 2 hours away from them. The plan was to meet them at their house and me follow bc I am not familiar with the area. Anyways, They live in the Green Cove Mobile home park. As Im pulling in I see a tow truck in the distance but think nothing of it. Once I arrive I notice they aren't ready just yet. Getting an autistic child ready and yourselves is one heck of a job. I decide to park and go in to see if they needed help. Within 5 minutes including the time of my knocking, I come back out to see a tow truck hooked up to my car. I run out and explain the situation. I even noted that my keys were still in the ignition and that my car was still cool because I had just turned the air off. The driver wasn't having it. I asked if he could call his boss so I could explain the mishaps. The driver did and the boss more or less said oh well. This is ridiculous! I asked what I was supposed to do and the driver tells me that for him to stop hooking my car up I had to pay him $150. Or wait until he took it to the impound yard and pay approximately $275.I was shook! Not to mention, I was not parked in the road. I was not blocking anything. I simply pulled over on the side of my aunts yard to run in and check on them! So, I asked how I could pay. He says oh it's cash only.WHO CARRIES CASH ANYMORE? This is obviously a way for them to screw people over. No one carries cash so it's an easy way for them to make more by taking it to impound.I'm so ashamed of this poor excuse of a company would do such. This tow truck followed me in, waited for me to park and go inside to make a quick buck! You should be sick at yourselves. I hope you have the life and day that you deserve. While this is happening, an elderly man stops to tell me that not long ago his daughter stopped by to drop off his medication and they immediately towed her car as well. Since she didn't carry cash either, she had to pay the wholeprice.. This is obviously a reoccurring thing and I will make sure everyone knows how inconsiderate this company is. I will be sharing my experience on all social media platforms and reaching out to others that have been taken advantage of. Make this right. The main excuse given by the tow company was that the mobile home park contracts them to do so and only two vehicles per home are allowed at any time. How are people supposed to have visitors? It welcomes visitors as you come in but piss on them once they actually enter?in my opinion the trailer park needs to be held accountable for being so inconsiderate as well. Do. Better. Yall.
Jul 03, 2024 · Emily HawkinsI thought there was no discrimination in the US, but I was discriminated against by the management here because I am Latino.
Oct 15, 2024 · ajack 2020Lot rent goes up about 40 dollars every year. As soon as I get a raise on my social security, I can expect the lot rent to go up. They don't make people clean up their trailers and it's getting very junky.
Oct 30, 2023 · Gigi c cOur experience living here has been a nightmare. For starters we ended up with 2 landladies and signed 2 different leases. One for the mobile home, and one for the lot. Within 3 months of living there one of our landladies asked our 19 year old son for sperm to make a baby, literally 4 minutes after declining to donate to them through text message, she texts me and says Sharon in the office needed me purchase $50 per month pet insurance through the trailer park and pay her husband an insane amount of money for mowing grass in the yard that doesn't exist. The yard is a mud pit. I found out they are good friends so I've obtained a lawyer. Sharon is disrespectful, degrades her tenants by talking down to them as if she's better than them and always has an attitude. I'm almost 40 and have been renting since I was old enough and never have I ever been so disrespected and treated with such hatefulness. Repairs were never made. We have a hole rotted on the bottom of the door my German shepherd can stick his head through so we've had to block off that door and use the back door unfortunately. It's a mess. I cannot wait to move.
