Sandy Beach at Yuba Lake Introduce
For local users seeking a tranquil and potentially less crowded alternative within the "camping near me" category, Sandy Beach at Yuba Lake, located on Old Botham Rd in Levan, UT 84639, offers a promising camping cabin experience. Situated near the scenic Yuba Lake, this destination appears to provide a more serene and personalized getaway compared to busier state park campgrounds, particularly during peak seasons. While the focus here is on a "camping cabin," the reviews primarily highlight the beach and overall environment, suggesting that the appeal extends beyond just the cabin itself to the lakeside experience.
The environment surrounding Sandy Beach at Yuba Lake is clearly a major draw, with multiple reviewers emphasizing its peaceful and clean nature. One visitor who sought an alternative to the crowded North Beach during the 4th of July weekend described Sandy Beach as "very clean and quiet. Very peaceful." This suggests a more secluded and relaxing atmosphere, ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. The proximity to Yuba Lake provides the quintessential lakeside environment, likely offering scenic views, opportunities for water-based activities, and a generally calming ambiance. Imagine spending your days by the lake and your evenings enjoying the tranquility of this less crowded location.
A significant feature of Sandy Beach at Yuba Lake, as highlighted by a reviewer, is its dog-friendly policy. They mentioned being "on the hunt for a dog friendly beach and this did not disappoint!" This is a considerable advantage for pet owners who want to include their furry companions in their "camping near me" adventures. The reviewer noted that the area where they were was "very calm/quiet even on a Saturday," further reinforcing the peaceful nature of this location. While they did mention picking up some glass and cans, the overall impression of the beach's cleanliness was positive. However, they also advised about "lots of pokey things to pick off your dog," suggesting that while dog-friendly, some caution regarding the natural vegetation might be necessary to ensure your pet's comfort and safety.
The professional and friendly service provided by the staff, particularly someone named Parker, is another notable aspect of Sandy Beach at Yuba Lake. One reviewer recounted how Parker "was very professional and friendly to our family" and "helped us get a last minute reservation" when other options were full. He also "checked in with us after the first night to make sure everything going well." This level of personalized attention and care can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, making you feel welcomed and valued. This suggests that Sandy Beach at Yuba Lake prioritizes customer satisfaction, which is a significant plus when choosing a "camping near me" destination.
While the reviews focus primarily on the beach and the service, the fact that the platform category is "camping near me" and the specific item is a "camping cabin" implies the availability of cabin accommodations. Camping cabins typically offer a more comfortable and sheltered alternative to traditional tent camping, often including basic amenities such as beds, electricity, and sometimes even heating or air conditioning. The specifics of the cabin at Sandy Beach at Yuba Lake are not detailed in the provided reviews, but it's reasonable to assume it offers a step up in comfort from tent camping, allowing you to enjoy the lakeside environment with added convenience.
The address, Old Botham Rd, Levan, UT 84639, places Sandy Beach at Yuba Lake in the vicinity of Yuba State Park, but the reviews suggest it offers a different experience. One reviewer explicitly stated they would "Definitely plan to come back instead of doing the state park," indicating a preference for the quieter and potentially more private atmosphere of Sandy Beach. This suggests that for those seeking a less crowded "camping near me" option around Yuba Lake, Sandy Beach could be an excellent choice.
One reviewer humorously noted that the location is "in the middle of nowhere, so keep driving and you’ll get there eventually!" This might imply that Sandy Beach at Yuba Lake offers a sense of seclusion and escape, contributing to its peaceful atmosphere. However, it also serves as a practical tip for first-time visitors to be prepared for a slightly more remote location.
Given the information available, specific details about services and features of the camping cabin itself are missing. To get a comprehensive understanding, it would be essential to inquire about the cabin's amenities, such as the number of beds, presence of electricity, kitchen facilities (if any), and bathroom access. Similarly, information about other campground facilities, such as restrooms, water sources, or picnic areas, is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the positive comments about the clean beach and the helpful staff suggest that basic amenities are likely available and well-maintained.

North Beach got too crowded during 4th of July weekend. We couldn't find anywhere to camp. We discovered Sandy Beaches and knew we had to get a reservation! Parker was very professional and friendly to our family. He helped us get a last minute reservation. He checked in with us after the first night to make sure everything going well. Beach was very clean and quiet. Very peaceful. Definitely plan to come back instead of doing the state park.
Jul 08, 2024 · J Spencer SmithGreat beach! We’ve been on the hunt for a dog friendly beach and this did not disappoint! Very calm/quiet where we were even on a Saturday. Beach was clean, but did pick up some glass and cans. Lots of pokey things to pick off your dog, but that didn’t stop us :) it is in the middle of nowhere, so keep driving and you’ll get there eventually! We’ll definitely be back.
Jul 20, 2024 · Jordyn WilsonI loved staying here the past few years, but this past week’s experience has made it so I’ll never come here again. The people that run this place really don’t seem to care about creating a good experience at all. If any issues arise, don’t expect them to take care of it right away or try to make things right, despite the high prices you pay to stay there. To start off, my friends were staying in a mirror pod. It’s 100 degrees out and when they arrive there is zero water in the fan (which they call “AC”). Just know it is NOT AC, and barely cools the place down. They text them asking to come fill it and the workers say they can’t because they’re currently “off grid”. So they say the only options was to either wait until the next day for them to come fill it or carry a cooler to the restrooms to fill it with water. Keep in my kind, this was pod #8 and not close to the restrooms at all. Super unprofessional in my opinion. You should NEVER be “off grid” when running a business in case things go wrong. We’re paying you to be here and take care of us, so that’s just wrong. They were dying of heat the whole weekend in there since those fans don’t do anything.Next, when we arrived in our reservation in the tiny home, our AC wouldn’t work. Luckily my boyfriend sells the hoses they use for it and was able to fix it because they never turned the water valve on for it. But if it was anyone else they probably would have been SOL with no AC. The tiny home wasn’t clean at all. There was still sand and sticky stuff all over the floor and sand all over the couch. There was dirty Clorox wipes on the counter like they had just wiped it and then left them there. They don’t seem to vacuum or clean anything well in between people. All of the dishes aren’t washed and are disgusting (luckily we brought our own plastic ware and paper plates). There were no towels to use for showering. Pretty much missing all of the basic things you expect to be there. Which is strange because last year when we stayed there, they had these necessities there. So it seems like it’s just going downhill.Next is just downright disgusting. There were stains, including what looked like blood stains, on the bedding and on the pillows in the closet. That’s just unacceptable. Also, all of the pillows in the closet were super dirty and brown. We ended up pulling off all the bedding and sleeping on our own because we were so grossed out. They even tried to make the bed with the stains side down so we might not notice. Then on our 3rd night, we ended up losing power around 1 AM. This means no power, no water, no AC, no anything. And the generator was beeping literally all night long. We didn’t sleep one bit after that. I texted Parker in the middle of the night to let him know and received a response the next morning that it was most likely because the previous day was cloudy, so the solar generator didn’t get enough power charged up. And all he said was basically to deal with it and use the public restrooms. I paid extra so I wouldn’t have to use the public restrooms. How can you rely on power if it’s cloudy and won’t charge?? There should be some kind of backup for things like this. I paid almost $200 a night to not sleep at all before our drive home the next morning. Also super unprofessional to not answer my texts after I told him about all of the stained bedding and sent pictures. It sucks that they aren’t more professional because this place could be amazing with better staff. We’ve been coming here every year the past 3 years and now won’t be back.
Aug 09, 2024 · JammerzHad a great stay, we stayed in the Tini home. It fit my family and young kids great. The host was super nice. Loved the large beach area with plenty of space for the dogs to run! The views of the stars and late night fire on the beach were unforgettable! Just wish I got more photos.
