Temple Hill Campground Introduce
Welcome to Temple Hill Campground, a prominent destination for those seeking a "camping near me" experience in Manti, UT. Situated at Johnson Rd, Manti, UT 84642, USA, this campground offers a base for exploring the scenic beauty and local attractions of the area. For inquiries or reservations, you can reach them at (435) 835-2267 or +1 435-835-2267. As a key listing within the "camping near me" category on various platforms, Temple Hill Campground aims to provide a range of services and facilities tailored to both RV and tent campers.
Under new ownership, Temple Hill Campground is undergoing updates and improvements with a clear goal: to enhance the guest experience. A significant future enhancement highlighted by the new ownership is the planned installation of free Wi-Fi that is projected to cover the entire campground by Memorial Weekend. This initiative aims to provide campers with reliable internet access, a valuable amenity in today's connected world, especially for those who might be working remotely or simply wish to stay in touch during their outdoor escape.
The pricing structure at Temple Hill Campground is designed to be straightforward, featuring one flat rate per site. However, it's important for potential visitors to note that there are additional fees for pets and extra vehicles. This transparent pricing model allows campers to budget effectively for their stay, though it's always advisable to confirm all charges when making a reservation, particularly regarding the pet and extra vehicle fees, which are common considerations for many travelers searching for "camping near me" options.
When considering the environment and facilities at Temple Hill Campground, it's essential to present a balanced perspective based on recent customer feedback. The campground offers various spots for RVs and likely tent camping, catering to a diverse range of camping preferences. The presence of a pool is a notable amenity, often cited as a positive feature for guests looking for recreational opportunities on-site. For families, a playground and volleyball court are also part of the facilities, offering spaces for children and adults to engage in outdoor activities. Picnic tables are available at sites, providing convenient areas for outdoor dining.
However, it's important to acknowledge areas where the campground has received feedback for improvement. Some past visitors have noted that certain RV spots can be uneven, potentially requiring campers to use modified jack stands to achieve a level setup. This is a practical consideration for RV owners. Additionally, there have been mentions of issues with weeds and stickers in grassy areas, including the playground and volleyball court, which could impact the usability and comfort of these recreational spaces. The condition of picnic tables has also been noted as needing attention, suggesting that some might benefit from maintenance like sanding and painting.
Another point of feedback concerns the layout and utility hookups. Specifically, some upper spots may lack trees, meaning limited shade – a factor to consider, especially during warmer months. The placement of electrical hookups at the very back of some spots has necessitated extra-long power cords for some campers. Furthermore, the proximity of fresh water hookups to sewer clean-outs has been mentioned as not ideal from a convenience and hygiene perspective. These details are valuable for prospective campers to be aware of when planning their stay, allowing them to come prepared with appropriate equipment.
Despite some of these challenges, the campground's appeal often lies in its location and its role as a convenient base for attending local events or exploring the Manti area. For many, the utility of having a place to stay, even if some aspects require adaptation, outweighs minor inconveniences, especially when other lodging options are scarce during peak seasons or events. The "camping near me" search often prioritizes location and availability, and Temple Hill Campground fulfills this need for many visitors to Manti.
In terms of services, beyond the upcoming Wi-Fi, the core offerings include RV and tent sites with essential hookups, such as electric and water, though their specific placement has been noted. The pet-friendly policy, while incurring an extra fee, is a significant service for those traveling with animal companions, catering to a large segment of the "camping near me" audience. The new ownership's commitment to improving the facilities suggests a future-oriented approach, aiming to enhance the overall quality of services and amenities provided.
For those searching for "camping near me" in Manti, Temple Hill Campground offers a practical option. While it presents areas for improvement, especially regarding site leveling, vegetation management, and utility hookup arrangement, the new ownership's stated goal of providing free Wi-Fi and the existing amenities like the pool, playground, and volleyball court contribute to its value proposition. As the campground continues to evolve under new management, potential visitors can anticipate ongoing enhancements to their camping experience in Manti. It is always recommended to contact the campground directly for the most current information on site availability, pricing, specific amenities, and any ongoing improvements.

Temple Hill Campground Reviews
It is under new ownership and open. Their goal is to have free wifi that will cover the entire campground by Memorial Weekend. One flat rate per site, plus pet fee and extra vehicle fee
Apr 29, 2025 · MaraIf you want an uneven RV spot full of stickers, this is your place! Playground was unusable and full of weeds and stickers. Volleyball court was full of weeds and stickers. Picnic tables were in terrible shape and needed some TLC, sanding and paint. All the grassy areas were full of stickers. We were placed in the upper spots and there are no trees for shade in any of those spots. All 4 of our rigs had to use modified jack stands to become level. The pool was the only decent thing for this place. For $65 a night this place should be ashamed of themselves. We did utilize our stay only because we had no were else go for the event we had to attend. And bring an extra long power cord, the electric hookups are are located at the very back of the spots. Fresh water is only 6" from sewer hook-up clean out, not ideal.
Jun 02, 2024 · Shelly RoyI was skeptical because of all the negative reviews I read. However, I was pleasantly surprised. For $65/night, no complaints. I had no problems with any of the hookups and the managers were very nice and helpful. The husband even helped me level my trailer since I was by myself. It was a perfect place to lay my head for a few nights.
May 04, 2024 · Kathy StahlThe place is a dump! Stickers everywhere to the point that our dogs could not leave the trailer to take a walk. The entire place needs a major overhaul! Trees need trimming and major maintenance needs to be done. Great UTV area just sad that this is the only campground in the area. We won’t be back
Aug 09, 2024 · Kristen AlbrechtWe rented the cabin and stayed 2 nights to watch the annular Eclipse. We loved having some free space and the hill to hike up, with kids. This is not a resort(anymore). It's a camp site. The cabin has electricity, a full sized fridge/freezer, a plugin heater. We loved having that comfort, but then being able to go outside and feel like we're camping. It is a bit rundown. We had a designated fire pit near our parking stall. The picnic tables are old/unstable but we made it work. The bathrooms (off the main office building) had warm running water and showers. I was expecting a lot worse based off other reviews but they were clean.
