Environment: Quiet, Improving, and Well-Maintained
One of the key environmental aspects highlighted in the reviews is the quiet nature of Merrimac Manor. Residents describe it as "very quiet," which is a significant advantage for those seeking a peaceful and tranquil living environment, whether in a mobile home or an RV. This suggests that the community fosters a calm atmosphere, free from excessive noise and disturbances often found in more transient settings.
A recurring theme in the reviews is the positive impact of the new owners and management, specifically Gina and Frank. One long-term resident of over four years notes that since their arrival, the community has been "nothing short of amazing." This indicates a significant improvement in the overall management and upkeep of the property, suggesting a proactive approach to addressing resident concerns and enhancing the living environment.
The same reviewer also mentions that "so many changes have been made out here... and it's becoming beautiful and a nice place to live." This implies ongoing efforts to improve the aesthetics and overall appeal of Merrimac Manor, which could include landscaping, maintenance of common areas, and other enhancements that benefit all residents, including those with RVs.
Another resident who has lived there for a little over two years also expresses their love for the community, further emphasizing its quiet nature and the attentiveness of the staff to resident needs and the property. This consistent positive feedback regarding the environment and management creates a favorable impression for prospective residents.
While the reviews do not explicitly detail the physical layout or natural features of the community (such as the presence of trees or green spaces), the emphasis on it becoming "beautiful" suggests that efforts are being made to enhance its visual appeal. Local users considering Merrimac Manor for RV living should inquire about the specific characteristics of the RV lots, such as their size, accessibility, and surrounding environment.
Services and Amenities for Potential RV Residents
While Merrimac Manor is primarily a mobile home community, one long-term resident mentions that the manager "also has RV lots when available." This is a crucial piece of information for those in the "RV parks near me" category seeking a long-term stay in Huntsville. Prospective RV residents should contact Gina and Frank directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about the current availability of these RV lots, their size, and the types of hookups provided (e.g., water, sewer, electricity – including amperage).
Understanding what is included in the lot rent for RVs is also essential. This typically covers basic utilities such as water, sewer, and possibly trash disposal. Inquiring about electricity billing (whether it's included or metered separately) is important for budgeting purposes. Additionally, it would be beneficial to ask about any rules or regulations specific to RV residents within the community.
Given the positive feedback about the management being "on top of things" and "attentive to resident needs," it is likely that they are responsive to inquiries from prospective RV residents and will provide clear information about the services and amenities available.
While the reviews do not explicitly mention typical RV park amenities such as laundry facilities, communal restrooms and showers, or recreational areas, these are aspects that potential RV residents should inquire about. As a primarily mobile home community, the focus might be more on long-term living necessities rather than transient recreational features. However, the ongoing improvements suggest that additional amenities might be considered in the future.

Been here over 4 years and since the new owners and management took over it's been nothing short of amazing. Gina and Frank stay on top of things when you go tell them something is wrong. I'm grateful for them. So many changes have been made out here.. and it's becoming beautiful and a nice place to live
Dec 05, 2023 · mckenzie burlisonI've been living here for a little over 2 years now and love it here. It's very quiet, neighbors are friendly and staff are attentive to resident needs and the property. As long as you do what you are supposed to you will love it here.
Dec 05, 2023 · Donna EvansI’ve been living here a long time and love the new owners and management team. Gina and Frank take great care of us as long as you follow the rules
Dec 22, 2023 · Jorge DuranI'm going to edit this review because my roof has been leaking EPICLY since ive gotten here, causing my whole rental to smell horrible and cause everyone here to feel I'll and sick. Nasty stagnant water has leaked onto all my clothing and belongings and when I informed the manager,he sent maintenance out and actually made it WORSE! I tried to inform maintenance again and they told me they dont do repairs or anything else unless "the boss " tells them to do so. Unbelievable.
Aug 17, 2017 · Tracie HarveyAs soon as the new owners took over, big changes started happening. It looks like a totally different place than when I first moved here in March 2020. Now it is a place that I am proud to live in. :) can't wait to see what other changes are coming!
