Greenwood Farms Manufactured Home Community Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Greenwood, Indiana area, or considering a move to a manufactured home community, Greenwood Farms Manufactured Home Community, located at 1598 US 31 S, Greenwood, IN 46143, USA, warrants careful consideration. You can contact them at (317) 881-4113 or +1 317-881-4113 for further information. However, it is crucial to be aware of the overwhelmingly negative feedback from recent residents, which raises significant concerns about the living environment and management practices at this community.
One particularly distressing review recounts a deeply upsetting experience following the death of the resident's mother within the community. According to this account, despite the presence of an ambulance attending to this sensitive situation and being parked in the street for a brief period, the office allegedly issued a "violation notice" for blocking the street. The subsequent interaction with the office staff is described as profoundly negative, with the reviewer characterizing a staff member as the "most horrible woman I've ever met in my life!" The reviewer alleges a complete lack of empathy and understanding from the office regarding the recent death and the associated funeral arrangements. Shockingly, the review further claims that this office staff member threatened to have the deceased mother's trailer hauled out of the park during this incredibly difficult time.
This harrowing account paints a picture of a management that, at least in this instance, appeared to be exceptionally rigid, insensitive, and focused on नियम enforcement to an extreme degree, even in the face of personal tragedy. Such an experience would undoubtedly leave a lasting negative impression and raises serious questions about the overall culture and approach of the management at Greenwood Farms Manufactured Home Community.
Another review echoes concerns about management practices and highlights significant financial burdens associated with living in the community. This resident agrees with "previous comments" (though not provided in the input) and describes the lot rent as "absolutely insane," stating that it amounts to almost $900 per month when factoring in water and sewer charges. The reviewer explicitly labels this cost as "ridiculous for a mobile home LOT," indicating a strong perception of being overcharged for the basic land rental and utilities.
Furthermore, this review corroborates the idea of strict and potentially unreasonable नियम enforcement by mentioning the frequent issuance of "lame violations notices." The reviewer also points out inconvenient guest parking नियमs, stating that even guests parked in the designated guest parking lot (located far by the office) have their cars tagged for towing if they stay for a seemingly short duration. This could create significant difficulties for residents who have visitors and suggests a potentially inhospitable environment for guests.
Additional grievances raised in this second review include नियमs regarding exterior structures, such as sheds, which reportedly require professional installation once approved by the office. The reviewer characterizes the staff as "very rude" and behaving as if the residents "live in penthouses," despite residing in a trailer park. This suggests a perceived disconnect between the management's attitude and the reality of mobile home living, potentially leading to friction and resentment among residents.
The financial strain on residents is further emphasized by the claim that the "trailer park here is doing well making all of us struggle when they raise the lot rent every year." This alludes to a pattern of increasing costs for residents, potentially without a corresponding increase in services or improvements to the community, leading to financial hardship for those living on a fixed income or with tight budgets. The reviewer expresses a desire for some form of intervention or regulation to address these repeated rent increases.
Considering these two highly negative and detailed reviews, potential residents, including those seeking long-term "RV parks near me" options (if permitted at Greenwood Farms), should be extremely cautious. The accounts suggest a community where management may prioritize strict नियम enforcement over resident well-being and demonstrate a lack of empathy in sensitive situations. The high lot rent, coupled with additional नियमs regarding guests and property maintenance, could lead to a financially burdensome and frustrating living experience.
It is important to note that these are individual experiences and may not represent the views of all residents. However, the specific and emotionally charged nature of these reviews, particularly the first one, warrants serious consideration. The consistency between the two reviews regarding strict नियम enforcement and high costs adds weight to these concerns.
As Greenwood Farms Manufactured Home Community is listed under the category of "RV parks near me," it is possible that they also offer sites for recreational vehicles, perhaps on a long-term basis. However, the reviews provided do not specifically address the experience of RVers within the community. If you are considering bringing an RV to Greenwood Farms, it would be crucial to inquire about:
- The availability and size of RV sites.
- The types of hookups provided (water, electricity, sewer).
- The cost of lot rent and any additional fees for RVs.
- Any specific नियमs or restrictions that apply to RVs and their occupants.
- The overall environment and whether it is welcoming to RVers.
Given the serious allegations of poor management and high costs, it would be prudent to seek perspectives from a wider range of current residents if possible. Visiting the community and observing the environment firsthand could also provide valuable insights. However, the strong negative sentiments expressed in these reviews serve as a significant red flag.
Without any positive feedback or information about specific amenities, community features, or promotional offers, it is challenging to present a balanced view of Greenwood Farms Manufactured Home Community. The available data paints a concerning picture that potential residents should carefully consider before making any commitments.
In conclusion, while Greenwood Farms Manufactured Home Community in Greenwood, IN, might appear as an option when searching for "RV parks near me" or manufactured home communities, the available resident reviews raise serious concerns about management practices, high lot rent, strict and potentially unreasonable नियमs, and a lack of empathy in certain situations. Potential residents are strongly advised to proceed with extreme caution, conduct thorough due diligence, and seek additional information and perspectives before considering living at this community.

Greenwood Farms Manufactured Home Community Reviews
Horrible place to live! I can't think of 1 positive thing to say about this bad memory! My mother died here and an ambulance came to pick up her body and was parked in the street for about 5 minutes. The office stuck a "violation notice" on her front door for blocking the street.I was in shock and took the violation to the office and met the most horrible woman I've ever met in my life! Completely lacking in empathy with no understanding that my mom just died and I was in the process of planning a funeral service, along with everything else associated with her death. This office witch threatened to haul her trailer out of the park!
Apr 19, 2025 · Dusty RoadsI will agree with the previous comments. The lot rent is absolutely insane. With water and sewer almost 900 a month! That’s ridiculous for a mobile home LOT. Be prepared to receive several lame violations notices. And can’t even have guest over for very long before the cars are tagged to be towed. Even in the guest parking lot which is all the way by the office. Very inconvenient. I was told the shed outside has to be professionally installed once it is approved by office. The staff is very rude and acts as if we live in penthouses. Trailer park here is doing well making all of us struggle when they raise the lot rent every year. Something should be able to be done about this.
Nov 13, 2024 · blanca garciaIt's not a bad place to start out, but it's definitely not somewhere you want to plant roots. There's so many dumb rules. Can't have certain storage units without approval. Can't have certain animals (even though neighbors have "forbidden" breeds). Can't have more than 2 animals (even though I've seen a family with 3). We've had a handful of issues with our house right from the start. Unleveled doors, stripped cabinet door screws, and our doors don't close unless you slam them. In conclusion, if you don't mind your lot rent going up 3mo after moving in, and you're okay with not being able to do pretty much anything to it, it's not a bad start. But I'd recommend moving into a house or something else in the near future.
Jul 22, 2024 · Diesel 1994We were looking to purchase a home here, but the situation in Indy did not pan out. Really nice place, clean, no junk cars sitting around.
Apr 03, 2025 · Stephen B KnuttiHome next to the one I’m in is empty, we just had our internet line connected and the in ground connect pillar is in the empty homes yard. Groundskeeper for Greenwood farms ran over with a mower ON VIDEO the cable and disconnected our internet, refused to take any personal responsibility for running over a bright orange cable that was laid the day prior. Says “xfinity should have buried it” when xfinity is the primary provider for this area you’re sort of at the whim of their rules. This isn’t the first home they’ve provided internet service to and they have separate teams to do installation & burial. Staff has poor attitude and absolutely 0 accountability. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Claims the guy “didn’t see it” which is absolutely hilarious considering it was incredibly obvious
