Deerfield Acres Introduce
For local users in Indianapolis, Indiana, searching within the "rv parks near me" category for a long-term residential option, Deerfield Acres, located at 4004 Highland Cir, Indianapolis, IN 46221, USA, presents a mobile home park with a mix of positive community aspects and areas for potential improvement. Based on the available resident reviews, Deerfield Acres offers a generally quiet and peaceful environment with a strong sense of neighborly support, although there are mentions of issues with management and amenities.
The environment of Deerfield Acres is described by one resident as "nice," "quiet," and "peaceful." This suggests that the park aims to provide a tranquil living atmosphere, which can be a significant draw for those seeking a more serene residential setting compared to busier RV parks that cater primarily to short-term travelers. The mention of "wonderful neighbors that look out for you and your family" highlights a strong sense of community within Deerfield Acres, indicating a supportive and friendly environment where residents feel a sense of belonging and security. This neighborly aspect can be particularly appealing for individuals and families looking for a close-knit community feel in their long-term living situation.
In terms of services and features, the reviews provide a somewhat mixed perspective. One resident mentions a problem with the "office staff" turning off the water without any prior notice, causing inconvenience during household activities like washing, dishwashing, and showering. This lack of communication regarding utility disruptions could be a significant concern for potential long-term residents who rely on consistent access to these essential services. The same review also notes the absence of a pool, which might be a drawback for those seeking recreational amenities within the community. However, the reviewer does mention a "nice little park," suggesting the presence of a green space or playground area, which could be a positive feature for families with children.
Another long-term resident, having lived in Deerfield Acres for almost four years, offers a more positive overall assessment. They acknowledge an initial issue with a neighbor, which has since been resolved. This suggests that while conflicts may occasionally arise in any community, the management has taken steps to address them. This resident specifically praises "Teresa," the manager, as "awesome" and states that she "does what she can to work with people here" and is "doing her best to make improvements but it takes time." This positive feedback about the current manager suggests that efforts are being made to enhance the community and address resident concerns. The fact that improvements are underway, even if they take time, could be a promising sign for the future of Deerfield Acres.
One significant issue raised in the first review concerns the handling of a trailer purchase. The residents were in the process of buying a trailer within the park, but it was allegedly "sold out from under us" by a staff member from another office. This resulted in them having to settle for their "second choice" and a smaller trailer. This incident points to potential issues with communication or administrative processes within the management, which could be a cause for concern for those looking to buy or sell mobile homes within the community.
Considering the "rv parks near me" platform category, Deerfield Acres, while technically a mobile home park, could be an option for individuals seeking long-term residential living in their RVs. Mobile home parks often accommodate RVs for extended stays and provide the necessary utility hookups. However, the services and amenities might differ from those found in parks catering primarily to short-term recreational vehicles. Potential residents looking at Deerfield Acres through this lens should inquire specifically about the park's policies regarding RVs, the availability and type of utility hookups (water, electricity, sewer), and the suitability of the lots for different sizes and types of RVs.
No specific promotional information, such as discounts on lot rentals or special offers for new residents, is mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users interested in any potential promotions at Deerfield Acres would need to contact the park management directly using the provided phone numbers: (317) 505-1375 or mobile phone +1 317-505-1375.
In conclusion, Deerfield Acres in Indianapolis offers a mobile home park environment characterized by a quiet atmosphere and a strong sense of community among residents. The positive feedback regarding neighbors looking out for one another is a significant advantage. However, there are concerns raised about the office staff's communication regarding utility disruptions and past issues with management processes. The current manager receives praise for her efforts to work with residents and make improvements. The absence of a pool might be a drawback for some, but a "nice little park" is mentioned as an amenity. For local users considering Deerfield Acres for long-term RV living through the "rv parks near me" platform, it is crucial to weigh the positive community aspects against the reported management issues and the lack of certain amenities. Direct communication with the park management is highly recommended to obtain detailed information about current policies, services, lot availability for RVs, and any ongoing improvements.

Deerfield Acres Reviews
I live here with my brother, my husband and my teenage daughter. Nice place, it's quiet, peaceful, wonderful neighbors that look out for you and your family. I just have a problem with the office staff. They turn your water off without any type of notice. My washer, dishwasher or I'll be in the shower and nope water goes off. Like are you serious right now? On top of all of that we were in the process of buying a trailer and the lady from the other office sold it out from under us. So we ended up getting our second choice and smaller trailer. No pool nice little park though.
Oct 24, 2022 · Jenny NicklesI've lived here for almost 4 years. Grant it at first we had trouble with a neighbor but that neighbor is now gone. Otherwise, we haven't had any trouble here. Teresa is an awesome manager! She does what she can to work with people here. She is doing her best to make improvements but it takes time.
Oct 20, 2022 · Charlene SW was 3sLaudigPlace looks really bad, and it's definitely worse than it looks, the management changes all the time and none of them care, on top of that management likes to harass and threaten people, I was almost t-boned by management just yesterday, knew people who lived here before me should have known better to move in here avoid at all costs cuz it's definitely not worth the cost
Apr 17, 2024 · D RWe have lived here for almost 5 months and absolutely love it. It is a down to earth place to live. Some yards could be picked up a bit but nothing terrible. Michael is no longer in the office since the park was sold. We hated to hear that. We own our home outright so all we have is lot rent and water/sewer to pay. And that is Reasonable.
