Harrison Grove Estates Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Indianapolis area and considering long-term living options beyond temporary stays? Harrison Grove Estates, located at 4923 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46224, USA, offers a unique opportunity for affordable housing within a community setting. While it may not be a traditional RV park catering to short-term recreational vehicles, Harrison Grove Estates provides a place to establish a home by purchasing and renovating pre-owned mobile homes. You can reach them at (317) 308-4010 or +1 317-308-4010 for inquiries.
Based on feedback from current residents, Harrison Grove Estates presents a compelling option for individuals and families seeking budget-friendly housing solutions. Several reviewers highlight the significant value proposition, especially for those who may be starting over or have limited financial resources. One resident explicitly stated that it provided an alternative to the "endless pit of rentals," allowing them to purchase a trailer with limited credit and money.
The environment at Harrison Grove Estates is described as quiet, peaceful, and safe, which is a significant advantage for many. This is particularly noteworthy for families, as one resident with a special-needs child emphasized the kindness of the community and the absence of disturbances. The park fosters a sense of community, with management even organizing events like cookouts to help residents connect and get to know each other.
While the park features older, "vintage" trailers, residents are given the opportunity to inspect potential homes before purchasing. This transparency allows buyers to assess the condition and determine if they are comfortable with any necessary renovations. One reviewer shared their positive experience of acquiring a trailer with good wiring and a functioning furnace, needing only basic plumbing repairs. This suggests that while some units may require "elbow grease," they can be transformed into safe and happy homes with a bit of effort.
The management team at Harrison Grove Estates receives high praise in the reviews. Jen, the trailer park manager, is repeatedly described as kind, professional, and helpful. Residents feel that she goes above and beyond to assist them in finding a home and settling into the community. The maintenance staff is also commended for their dedication and hard work in supporting residents. Their commitment is evident in initiatives like providing a reasonably priced lawnmower for residents to use, demonstrating a proactive approach to community well-being rather than simply enforcing rules.
A significant point of positive change highlighted by a long-term resident is the ongoing improvement of the park. Many freshly painted trailers with new windows and other upgrades are visible, indicating a positive trajectory under the current management. This suggests that while the park may have had its challenges in the past, there is a clear commitment to enhancing the living environment for its residents.
One consistent negative feedback point revolves around the condition of the road running through the park, which is described as being in "very poor condition" with "lots of potholes." While residents acknowledge that this issue likely falls under the responsibility of the park owners rather than the on-site manager and maintenance team, it is an important factor to consider for potential residents. Hopefully, this infrastructure concern will be addressed in the near future to further enhance the quality of life within the community.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" with a longer-term perspective, Harrison Grove Estates presents an alternative model. It offers the opportunity to own a home at an affordable price point, particularly for those who are willing to invest some time and effort in renovations. The strong sense of community, the dedicated and caring management, and the ongoing improvements make it a noteworthy option for individuals and families seeking an affordable path to homeownership in Indianapolis. Furthermore, the park is located within the Wayne Township school district, which is mentioned as "awesome" by a resident, making it an attractive option for families with school-aged children.
In conclusion, while Harrison Grove Estates may not fit the traditional mold of a short-term RV park, it provides a valuable service to the local community by offering affordable housing solutions through the purchase and renovation of mobile homes. The positive feedback regarding the management, the sense of community, and the ongoing improvements suggest a promising living environment for those seeking a budget-friendly alternative to renting. Potential residents should be prepared for older homes that may require some work and be aware of the road conditions within the park. However, for those seeking an affordable homeownership opportunity and a supportive community, Harrison Grove Estates is definitely worth considering.

Harrison Grove Estates Reviews
It's a slight dump, rough roads, but if you have the skills and time to renovate the trailer, then it's definitely worth it. It beats living on the bare street though.
Apr 13, 2025 · ZadiaPhilanese Stokes (Non-Binary)My experience with Jen, the trailer park manager has been wonderful. She is kind and professional.Let’s be real here.If you have great credit and tons of money, you’re probably not coming here to look for a place .I moved here following a divorce and had very little credit and very little money.I moved here and was able to purchase a trailer instead of going into the endless pit of rentals .They let me go through every unit that I was interested in and invited me to have someone inspect it before I bought it .I got a decent vintage trailer with no leaks. The wiring is good. The furnace is good. A couple basic plumbing issues from where the trailer had sat for a while.I have been treated with kindness, and I truly feel that Jen did everything she could to help me and my son into a home! The older trailers here may not be for everyone. But for us, it has been a blessing. With a little elbow grease, you can get one of these older homes, very affordably, and turn it into a safe and happy place for you and your kids.Awesome Wayne Township schools. The management team has been steadily improving the park ever since I moved in!I have seen so many positive changes .All you have to do is drive through the park and see all the freshly painted trailers with new windows and improvements .The maintenance man and the manager both work their self to death helping people.Courteous to the point that they have even bought a lawnmower for residents to use and rent very reasonably ,as a lot of people here don’t have one. They could just be slapping fines on people for not cutting the grass, but instead made it accessible for us to do so.Right after I moved in, they hosted a cookout up by the office with hotdogs and hamburgers, cold drinks, and snacks. They stood out in the heat cooking on a grill and made a nice day and a chance for residents to get to know each other.I know it’s an old park and I know it’s old trailers but it’s quiet and peaceful and safe.I have a special-needs son and no one has been anything but kind to us and we have had no disturbances since we have been here.If you are starting over or just starting out and don’t have a lot of money, I would recommend this park.Be prepared to get a vintage home that might need a little love. You will be allowed to see it and decide if it’s something you can work with ahead of time!** the only negative comment I have is that the road that that runs through the park is in very poor condition. That is why only 3 stars.Lots of potholes. The owners of the park absolutely need to take care of it ASAP.That is not something that the manager or the maintenance staff can do ,so my complaint would not be for them, but directed at the owners.
Sep 18, 2024 · Even Gamer Play GamesThe new management is way better than who they had before the 2 lady's they had before was so horrible they didn't care about what happened in here now the new manager and the maintenance is awesome they are always doing stuff to better the trailer park and they actually care about what happens and what does go on here I am so glad and happy that she is here to help and better everything! She will help anyone in need. She is very respectful and very understanding when it comes to anything and everything.
Jun 03, 2024 · Cin AndersonI’ve lived her for 6 months without EVER receiving a mailbox key. I’ve called at LEAST 10 times about getting a key. And when I go to the office to ask for one she doesn’t have one and said I have to pay to replace it because it’s not their responsibility. I was cussed at and threatened to have the cops called on me. I’m COMPLETELY DISGUSTED with the lady at the office. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNPLEASANT TO SPEAK TO. She is always irate when you speak to her about ANYTHING. She needs to be FIRED asap. Because a BBB complaint is definitely on the way :) and I couldn’t even pull up to my own home because they put someone’s random stairs DIRECTLY in front of my house.
