Gridley Inn & RV Park Introduce
Gridley Inn & RV Park, located at 1490 CA-99, Gridley, CA 95948, USA, offers a dual accommodation solution for travelers and long-term residents, functioning as both a traditional inn and an RV park. For those searching for "RV parks near me" or seeking a combined lodging and RV solution in the Gridley area, this establishment presents itself as a notable option. This introduction aims to provide a comprehensive and objective overview of the park, drawing upon direct customer reviews to highlight its environment, services, features, and specific considerations for potential visitors.
The environment at Gridley Inn & RV Park offers a mixed impression, as gleaned from customer feedback. The hotel portion of the property is generally described as "clean and comfortable," despite rooms not being "up to date or modern in anyway." This suggests a focus on basic comfort and hygiene, which is often prioritized by travelers. The RV park aspect, however, receives a more varied assessment. One reviewer notes that "the RV park itself is a bit trashy, some RV spots seem very cluttered or run down." This indicates that the visual appeal and upkeep of the RV section may vary significantly from site to site, and might not meet the aesthetic expectations of all campers. The location directly on CA-99 provides easy access for travelers, though it might also mean some exposure to road noise. Gridley itself is a smaller community, and one reviewer noted that the location is "literally close to nothing of great importance," implying a somewhat limited immediate surrounding environment in terms of major attractions or bustling city life.
When considering services and features, Gridley Inn & RV Park provides the fundamental requirements for both hotel guests and RV campers. For the inn, rooms offer clean and comfortable beds, with "very soft" mattresses and clean sheets. Complementary snacks and water were a "nice touch," indicating a basic level of hospitality. A particularly positive highlight for the inn portion is the honesty and kindness of the housekeeping staff, who were noted for notifying a guest about left-behind valuable belongings, earning "bonus points." This speaks to a strong sense of integrity and customer care from the hotel staff.
For the RV park, the primary service is the provision of RV spots. While full hookups (water, electricity, sewer) are not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, the mention of "RV spots" implies the availability of necessary connections for RVs. One reviewer had a "fast check in and no paper forms to fill," which is a convenient feature for RVers seeking quick and efficient processing. The park offers monthly rates, with one reviewer noting a cost of "$700.00 a month + deposit," which is a significant piece of promotional information for those seeking extended stays and considering "affordable RV park" options. This pricing structure suggests a focus on long-term residents.
However, alongside the services, some critical features and considerations emerge from the reviews. For the hotel, the main "downside" mentioned is "how expensive the rooms are for literally being close to nothing of great importance," suggesting a potential imbalance between cost and perceived value for hotel guests, especially given the basic nature of the rooms and the remote location. For the RV park, a notable concern is the description of some residents as "not really pleasant," which is a crucial social consideration for potential long-term RV visitors. This suggests that the park's community dynamic might be a factor for some, and a visit to assess the overall atmosphere would be beneficial for prospective long-term residents.
Promotional information, while not explicitly stated in marketing terms, can be inferred from the positive aspects highlighted by customers. The honesty and kindness of the staff (for the inn) are a strong endorsement, indicating reliable service. For the RV park, the "nice and quiet place" description from one monthly resident is a positive, appealing to those seeking peace. The straightforward "fast check in and no paper forms to fill" is a practical benefit that can attract transient RVers. The monthly rate is a key piece of information for those looking for extended stays.
The contact numbers for Gridley Inn & RV Park are (530) 846-4520 and +1 530-846-4520. It is highly recommended that interested individuals utilize these contacts to confirm current rates for both hotel rooms and RV spots, availability, and to inquire about specific amenities (e.g., full hookups, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi) which are not detailed in the provided reviews. For those considering an extended RV visit, it would be prudent to discuss the park's atmosphere and resident policies directly with management to address the concerns raised about "unpleasant" residents and the general upkeep of some RV spots. A personal visit to the RV park section before committing to a long-term stay would also be invaluable for an objective assessment.
In summary, Gridley Inn & RV Park offers a dual accommodation experience in Gridley, CA, catering to both hotel guests and RV campers. The inn provides clean and comfortable rooms with commendable staff honesty, though room pricing relative to location might be a consideration. The RV park offers quiet spots, appealing monthly rates, and efficient check-in, making it suitable for longer stays. However, potential RV residents should be aware of varied upkeep levels in some spots and consider the social dynamics mentioned in reviews. For anyone searching "RV parks near me" or affordable lodging in the Gridley area, Gridley Inn & RV Park is an option, but direct contact and a thorough assessment of the specific section of interest are strongly advised to ensure it meets individual expectations and needs.

Gridley Inn & RV Park Reviews
Rooms are not up to date or modern in anyway but they are clean and comfortable. The beds are very soft, sheets are clean, the complementary snack and water was a nice touch and when I was staying here for a month on and off the staff even made sure I didn't loose any personal / valuable belongings. (I was switching rooms a lot and left a necklace behind, housekeeping was the one who notified me I'd left it behind! So bonus points for honest and kind!) The only real downside here is how expensive the rooms are for literally being close to nothing of great importance and the RV park itself is a bit trashy, some RV spots seem very cluttered or run down and some of its residents are not really pleasant so keep that in mind for extended RV visits.
Dec 30, 2024 · Rey ReedWe stayed at RV Park, nice and quiet place. 700.00 a month + depositFast check in and no paper forms to fill. Great!!
Apr 27, 2025 · arz galyWe stayed there Dec 21 thru 25,,, from the moment we arrived the office person was very nice an approachable thats always a good thing. We stayed in one of the cottages, they are very ample had lots of room for our possessions as we were there for geese hunting, the staff cleaned our room daily, there are plenty of restaurants and markets within walking distance, we will definitely stay here again
Dec 31, 2024 · Robert ChaconWe've been here for 1 1/2 year and enjoy the quiet, laid back atmosphere and the peace of MIND that comes with it. The location is central to Yuba City, Oroville & Chico with plenty of things to do and see. Gridley is a great place to live exuding small town friendliness and charm.
Jan 05, 2025 · Heather F. FloresI would give this place 0 stars. My husband travels for work so sometimes our options are limited in proximity of his job.DO NOT stay if you're a single woman or have children. There are a few creepy people in the park. One old man is constantly waiting for me to come out of the trailer and trying to talk to me. One lady literally flashed herself to a couple younger children. There are some trailers that look like a homeless camp...it's also $500 a week. A $65 pet fee for the rv park. I have never been charged for pets at any other park. The dog area has trash everywhere and smells like stale beer. The pool is on the nicer side of things however is still dirty. They do offer laundry amenities but no quarters available on site, you have to leave to find quarters. There's also about 7 or more feral cats around the park. All in all I will never stay at this park again. I do not feel safe here.
