Gulfstream Harbor Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Orlando, Florida area, and considering various long-term housing options, including mobile home parks, we present an overview of Gulfstream Harbor, located at 4505 Old Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822, USA. The available online reviews offer a glimpse into the park's history and current perception, suggesting a community that has undergone positive transformations over time.
One review provides a historical perspective from a former resident who lived in Gulfstream Harbor from 1984 to 1989. This individual notes that "It's certainly changed for the better" since their time there. They describe the previous owners as "dodgy," which led to a significant number of residents (26 couples) leaving to establish their own park where they owned their land. This historical context suggests that Gulfstream Harbor may have had a challenging past that influenced residents' decisions decades ago.
However, the former resident's statement that the park has "changed for the better" is a crucial piece of information. It implies that under new ownership or management, significant improvements have been made, addressing the issues that led to the departure of the previous residents. While the specifics of these improvements are not detailed, this positive acknowledgment from someone with firsthand experience of the park's less favorable past is encouraging.
A more recent review offers a concise but positive description of Gulfstream Harbor as a "Nice 55 and up neighborhood 🏡." This simple statement conveys several important pieces of information. Firstly, it confirms that Gulfstream Harbor is an age-restricted community catering to residents aged 55 and over. This is a significant factor for those seeking a retirement or active adult living environment with peers of a similar age group.
Secondly, the term "neighborhood" suggests a positive community atmosphere, where residents likely interact and share a sense of belonging. The inclusion of the house emoji further reinforces the idea of a residential setting where people feel at home and connected to their surroundings.
Based on these two reviews, we can infer some aspects of the environment and community at Gulfstream Harbor Mobile Home Park:
Environment: While specific details about the physical layout, landscaping, or amenities are not provided, the positive change noted by the former resident suggests that the current environment is likely well-maintained and more appealing than in the past. The description as a "nice neighborhood" further supports this idea of a pleasant and comfortable setting.
Services: The reviews do not explicitly detail the services offered at Gulfstream Harbor. Typically, mobile home parks provide essential infrastructure such as water, sewer, and electricity hookups. Age-restricted communities often also offer amenities tailored to the interests of their residents, such as clubhouses, recreational facilities (e.g., pools, shuffleboard courts), and organized activities. The mention of a "neighborhood" atmosphere hints at potential communal spaces or activities that foster social interaction.
Features: Key features that can be inferred from the reviews include its status as a 55 and up community, a potentially positive and improving environment compared to its past, and a "nice neighborhood" feel suggesting a welcoming social atmosphere. The historical context of past challenges and subsequent improvements is also a notable feature for potential residents to consider.
Given the limited but generally positive recent feedback, we can highlight the following inferred benefits for local users searching for "mobile home parks near me," particularly those aged 55 and over in the Orlando area:
Age-Restricted Community: Gulfstream Harbor offers a living environment tailored to adults aged 55 and above, providing opportunities to connect with peers and enjoy age-appropriate amenities and activities.
Positive Transformation: The park has reportedly undergone positive changes since the 1980s, suggesting that past issues have been addressed, leading to an improved living experience.
Neighborhood Atmosphere: The description as a "nice neighborhood" indicates a potentially friendly and welcoming community where residents can feel a sense of belonging.
For local users seeking a 55 and up mobile home park in Orlando, Florida, Gulfstream Harbor presents a potentially attractive option, especially considering its reported positive transformation and the nice neighborhood atmosphere. However, due to the limited information in the reviews, further investigation is recommended to gain a comprehensive understanding of the community.

While the online reviews offer some positive indicators, direct inquiry will be essential to determine if Gulfstream Harbor meets individual needs and preferences for long-term living in a 55+ community.
Prospective residents should inquire about the specific amenities and social activities available for residents. Understanding the rules and regulations of the 55+ community, as well as the costs associated with lot rental and any community fees, will also be important factors in making an informed decision. The positive evolution of the park, as suggested by the former resident, coupled with the current description as a nice neighborhood, warrants further exploration for those seeking a senior living option in the Orlando area.

Gulfstream Harbor Reviews
It's certainly changed for the better since I lived there from 84-89. The owners of the park back then were dodgy, so 26 couples left and we started our own park where we own our land.

Apr 14, 2025 · FlowerdaysWonderful place to live. A resort type of living for people over 55.
Jan 12, 2025 · Ray PanettoNice community. Mother lives here. But expensive monthly lot and other fees. Not so good for retirees on a limited income. Currently in year 2024, Lot Rent is about $900 a month, it is Not fixed. I would recommend Caution in deciding to buy here.
Oct 14, 2024 · Darren PackNew owner on the property. Very happy with the community and activities. The staff is great! The amenities are awesome, which I'm learning to utilize. Most residence I believe are on a fixed income due to retirement, it's a 55 plus community. But during the covid outbreak they decided to raise lot rental. There are management company from my research is based out of California? Which really means nothing but the fact that most of us are on fixed incomes. It really affects us. Now seeming as if covid has not been an issue recently, companies are struggling to find people to work again that they would drop down the prices of monthly rental again. I won't hold my breath. It is corporate, everybody in the community I believe are good people and it is out of there hands. But I have neighbors that are struggling with inflation as well. They just started charging for sewer as well. It used to be only water in. Now my water bill has doubled and I've been gone for a month. I am still happy to be here due to the price hike on all properties and I am able to afford it. I just wish we could have some companies that relate to the realities of what's happening in the real world.
