Hickory Lane Mobile Home Park Introduce
Hickory Lane Mobile Home Park is a residential community located at 124 Co Rd 173 in Joplin, Missouri. While it may be listed under the category of "RV parks near me" on some platforms, it primarily functions as a mobile home park providing long-term living arrangements in the Joplin area of southwest Missouri. The park aims to offer a neighborhood setting for its residents.
Based on the available customer reviews, Hickory Lane Mobile Home Park presents a somewhat contrasting perspective. One reviewer offers a brief, positive sentiment, describing their "staycation" as "pretty good" and "pretty neat," using colloquial terms that suggest a generally enjoyable experience within what they identify as a "real trailer park." This positive feedback indicates that some residents or visitors have found the park to be satisfactory for their needs.
Another, more detailed review provides a more nuanced and cautionary perspective. This reviewer describes the neighborhood within Hickory Lane Mobile Home Park as "quite" and notes that the people who live there are generally "nice." They even state that it was a "great place to live" at one point. This suggests that the community itself has positive attributes, fostering a sense of peace and neighborliness among its residents.
However, the same detailed review raises significant concerns regarding the current management of the park. The reviewer alleges that the current manager has been "overly harassing different members of the park." This is a serious accusation that could indicate potential issues with the living environment and resident-management relations. Such behavior, if widespread, could detract significantly from the quality of life within the community.
Specifically, the reviewer highlights potential biases of the manager, stating that if a resident has a dog or if the manager simply dislikes them, they can expect difficulties. This suggests a lack of consistent and fair application of park rules and regulations, potentially leading to targeted harassment of certain residents. For pet owners or those who may have personality clashes with management, this is a crucial point of concern.
The reviewer further elaborates on the manager's alleged deceptive behavior, stating that he may appear "nice and understanding to your face" but then spread "lies about you" to other residents. Such behavior can erode trust within the community and create a divisive and uncomfortable atmosphere for residents. This inconsistency in communication and potential for misinformation is a significant red flag for prospective residents.
The reviewer also notes a perceived correlation between the manager's demeanor and his sobriety, suggesting that he may be more "willing to work with you" if approached before he "starts drinking." This is a deeply concerning observation that implies potential instability or unprofessionalism in the management's conduct and decision-making processes. Relying on the manager's state of sobriety to have productive interactions is not a sustainable or reliable basis for a positive living experience.
Furthermore, the manager is described as exhibiting bullying behavior, allegedly using threats of "crazy fines" or eviction. Such tactics can create a climate of fear and anxiety among residents, undermining their sense of security and well-being within their own community. The potential for arbitrary or excessive fines and the threat of eviction for unspecified or minor reasons are serious detriments to peaceful long-term living.
Finally, the reviewer comments on the accessibility of the park office, noting that despite the posted hours of 9 am to 3 pm, the management is "a lot of times not around." This lack of consistent availability can be frustrating for residents needing to address concerns, make payments, or seek assistance from the park management. Inconsistent office hours can lead to delays in communication and unresolved issues, further impacting the quality of life within the park.
Considering the information from these two reviews, Hickory Lane Mobile Home Park appears to be a community with a potentially quiet and neighborly atmosphere. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the current park management, including allegations of harassment, inconsistent behavior, bullying tactics, and unreliable office hours. These issues could outweigh the positive aspects of the community for many prospective residents, particularly those with pets or those who value consistent and fair management.
As Hickory Lane Mobile Home Park is listed under "RV parks near me," it is possible that they also offer short-term RV sites in addition to long-term mobile home lots. However, the reviews provided focus primarily on the experiences of mobile home residents and do not offer insights into the environment, services, or features specifically for RV campers. Individuals seeking short-term RV accommodations in the Joplin area should verify if Hickory Lane Mobile Home Park offers such facilities and inquire about the specific amenities available to RV guests.
No information regarding promotional offers or specific features of the park (beyond the quiet neighborhood and the alleged behavior of the manager) can be gleaned from the provided reviews. Prospective residents or RV campers would need to contact the park directly at (417) 624-7333 or +1 417-624-7333 to inquire about lot or site availability, lease terms, park rules, amenities, and any current promotions. When doing so, it would be prudent to ask specific questions related to the management practices and the concerns raised in the more detailed review to gain a clearer understanding of the current living environment.
In conclusion, Hickory Lane Mobile Home Park in Joplin, Missouri, offers a potentially quiet residential setting with a generally nice community of residents. However, serious allegations concerning the current park management, including harassment, inconsistency, bullying, and unreliable office hours, warrant significant caution for prospective residents. Individuals considering long-term living in this mobile home park, especially those who found it under the category of "RV parks near me," should conduct thorough due diligence and seek additional information to assess whether the potential benefits of the community outweigh the risks associated with the reported management issues. It is recommended to speak with current residents (if possible) and to directly address the concerns raised in the reviews with the park management before making any decisions.

Jun 08, 2024 · ARTFULL DODGERQuite neighborhood, people who live there are nice. It was a great place to live. However the manager of the park they have now. Has been overly harassing different members of the park. If you have a dog,or he just doesn't like you, then you can believe he will make life hard on you. He tells you that he will help you and is nice and understanding to your face. Then tell other residents lies about you. If you get to talk with him before he starts drinking, he's willing to work with you. He likes to be what I would call a bully. He likes to threatens to charge you with crazy fines or have you evicted. The sign on office say 9am to 3pm. A lot of times they're not around.
Jul 12, 2022 · Jenny CroswellVery unsafe place to live people speed through and you have to worry about your kids who play outside getting hit. The manager is two faced will act all nice to your face then stab you in the back. Rules only apply to certain people, yards are trashed out and music is played late at night. No respect for people who wake up early for jobs. Would not reccomend living there!
Sep 20, 2022 · Cameron PierceLandlord is very 2 faced and trashy will try to start drama from home to home. Does not like children playing in our own yards or homes running yelling being children apparently not allowed unless your his grandkids .Music blares all night from time to time.will yell at you and your family when hes drunk. On top of the weekend partys where drunks are everywhere Yards are bad and for the most part they have been working on trees since a tree fell and almost landed on a home and kids. This place used to be nicer but in the last few years it's gone way down hill save yourself and go somewhere else
Nov 26, 2022 · Ari FergusonI was honest with them I was up front with like they wanted. Still wouldn't give us a chance. So if have anything on your record from year's ago an my was from a really bad divorce they won't help you. Half of the trailer in that park is trashed out anyway. I wasn't even renting a trailer from them I was going to rent a spot for my RV. That I owned. We did find other place to park the RV an this place lost out on the the money we had saved up.
