Park Plaza Mobile Estates and RV Park Introduce
Park Plaza Mobile Estates and RV Park is located at 3305 Indiana Ave, Joplin, MO 64804, USA. For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' who might also be considering longer-term mobile home living, or for those specifically seeking affordable housing options in Joplin, Park Plaza presents a community that has garnered mixed feedback in its recent reviews. They can be contacted at (417) 624-4055 or +1 417-624-4055 for inquiries.
One detailed review expresses significant concerns regarding the affordability of the park, particularly for lower-income seniors and disabled individuals. The reviewer states, "Could be cheaper rent for the lower income seniors and disabled. These out of state people own it now and only care about the money. The park is getting trashed up by older trailers that have been moved in also. Use to be a very clean, nice, affordable, place for seniors and disabled people. Getting to the point they can not afford it. Needs more up keep. If your going to raise the rent. Pave the roads nice, plant flowers, mow the yards, keep the landscaping done." This feedback suggests a perceived decline in the park's quality and affordability since it came under new out-of-state ownership. The reviewer laments the increasing rent without corresponding improvements in infrastructure and maintenance, such as road paving, landscaping, and general upkeep. The influx of older trailers is also noted as contributing to a decline in the park's overall appearance.
This review paints a picture of a community that was once a clean, nice, and affordable option for seniors and disabled residents but is now struggling with upkeep and potentially pricing them out. The direct call for improvements if rent increases are to continue highlights a dissatisfaction with the current value proposition of living at Park Plaza.
Another review details a negative experience with the application process, suggesting potential issues with transparency and business practices. The reviewer mentions, "Update: I'm certain that these people have underlying issues within their own business. Needless to say I smelled something fishy going on. Certainly glad I pulled out of it. A terrible waste of my time. Give them silence and they will trip all over themselves. That 25.00 application fee..I'm sure they make bank with it." This strongly worded feedback indicates a lack of trust and a feeling that the application process may not be straightforward or fair. The specific mention of a $25.00 application fee and the implication that the management profits significantly from these fees raises concerns for prospective residents.
A subsequent comment from the same reviewer adds further context to their negative experience, stating, "I got to look at one unit but she quickly told me there is a pending app. Alas..there is another one exactly the same..only a little higher rent. I'm not comfortable throwing away another 25.00 app fee and find out the other unit does not measure up. I'll check them later. I had my heart set on 59." This suggests a situation where potential residents might feel pressured to pay multiple application fees without assurance that the available units will meet their expectations, leading to a reluctance to invest further in the application process.
Considering these reviews in the context of someone searching for 'RV parks near me,' it's important to note that Park Plaza Mobile Estates and RV Park appears to cater to both mobile home residents (long-term) and RV travelers (presumably short-term). The concerns raised in the reviews seem primarily directed at the mobile home living aspect, particularly regarding affordability and park maintenance. However, potential RVers might also take note of the overall sentiment regarding the management and upkeep of the property.
Based on the limited information and the concerns raised, the environment and features of Park Plaza Mobile Estates and RV Park might include:
- Mobile home lots for long-term residents.
- RV sites for short-term stays (though no specific details about these are provided in the reviews).
- Potentially a community that was once well-maintained but is perceived to be declining in upkeep.
- An aging infrastructure, with mentions of unpaved roads and a lack of landscaping.
- A resident demographic that includes seniors and disabled individuals, who are expressing concerns about affordability.
- A management that is perceived by some as prioritizing profit over resident well-being and park maintenance.
- An application process that involves a $25.00 non-refundable fee and may lack transparency regarding unit availability.
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. The feedback primarily focuses on negative aspects related to cost, maintenance, and management practices.
For local users in Joplin, Missouri, who are searching for 'RV parks near me' and might be considering Park Plaza for a short stay, the lack of specific information about the RV facilities in these reviews makes it difficult to form a complete picture. However, the general concerns about park upkeep and management style could be relevant for all potential visitors, regardless of whether they are seeking an RV site or a mobile home to rent or purchase.
For those specifically looking for mobile home living options, the reviews raise significant red flags regarding affordability, particularly for vulnerable populations, and the overall maintenance and appearance of the park. The issues with the application process also suggest a need for caution and thorough inquiry before committing any funds.
To obtain a balanced perspective and more detailed information about Park Plaza Mobile Estates and RV Park, including the current rates for both mobile home lots and RV sites, the amenities offered, the management's response to the concerns raised in these reviews, and any ongoing improvements or promotional offers, it is crucial to contact them directly at (417) 624-4055 or +1 417-624-4055. Prospective residents and RVers should ask specific questions about the points raised in the reviews to assess whether the park meets their needs and expectations.
In conclusion, the publicly available reviews for Park Plaza Mobile Estates and RV Park in Joplin, Missouri, present a concerning picture regarding affordability for seniors and disabled residents, park maintenance, and management practices. While the park may offer both mobile home living and RV sites, the feedback suggests potential drawbacks that prospective residents and visitors should carefully consider. It is highly recommended to conduct thorough due diligence and seek direct clarification from the management before making any decisions about residing or staying at Park Plaza.

Nov 16, 2022 · Lisa MooreheadThe photos which have posted by someone else aren't even of this park, so don't take them seriously. This is a well-established park, designed very thoughtfully. Most of the lots feature a shade tree which, after 50 years or so, now offer a lot of beauty and comfort. Likewise, hedge rows and perennial beds are well established. The unique trailer alignment in the original design permits a much greater sense of privacy to residents than the typical row-by-row arrangements seen elsewhere. This park is clean, well-managed by an on-site manager who is prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and caring. One or more caretakers keep everything ship-shape. Even the older trailers are well-maintained. There is a nice blend of families, working folks and retirees. People are friendly: passers-by wave and dog-walkers chat.I'm not sure what other parks charge for their lots, but remember, they say that you get what you pay for! This place is clean, quiet and SAFE! I've never felt unsafe in any way the whole time I've lived here. Peace of mind is well worth paying for.
May 15, 2019 · Pepper TravellIt has been a nice place to live up until the last six months or more. It used to be Seinor Living Only can't say that anymore, Lot Rent goes up at Least twice a year, we have to pay water and trash when we never did before and good luck trying to get in touch with management because as far as I can tell they don't exist, but the lot rent is due and payable on the first of the month.
Apr 21, 2018 · Patricia WilliamsQuiet, nice park. The park manager Summer is so kind and helpful. It was quick getting approved and most everybody in the park is friendly.
