When exploring "RV parks near me," factors such as the natural environment, available services, unique features, and the overall experience reported by other RVers are crucial in making an informed decision. The provided customer reviews for Hidden Lake RV Park offer a mixed but informative perspective on these aspects.
Environment and Atmosphere: One of the most highlighted features of Hidden Lake RV Park is its lake view, described by one reviewer as "beautiful!" This suggests a scenic environment that can enhance the stay for visitors. The presence of wildlife, including geese, ducks, and turtles, which were enjoyed by a reviewer's baby and dog, adds to the natural appeal of the location. The quiet atmosphere of the park is also noted in a separate review, making it potentially attractive for those seeking a peaceful stay.
However, the reviews also point out several environmental drawbacks. One reviewer mentions that a "walking path advertised around the lake simply does not exist," which could be disappointing for those expecting to enjoy lakeside strolls. The condition of the property also receives criticism, with "fences on the property" described as "dilapidated and rotting" and several "picnic tables at sites" being "rotting, falling apart and unusable." These observations suggest that some areas of the park may be in need of maintenance and repair.
Another significant environmental concern raised is the presence of "horrible and untreated" mosquitoes, which could impact the comfort of outdoor activities. Additionally, the reviewer noted "burrs are all in the grass which makes walking barefoot impossible," indicating potential issues with ground maintenance and the comfort of the grassy areas.
Despite these negative points, the first reviewer concluded that overall, the park was "great for the price and location" and that they "did enjoy our time here," suggesting that the positive aspects, such as the lake view and potentially the cost, outweighed the negatives for their experience.
Services and Amenities: The reviews provide limited information about the full range of services and amenities offered at Hidden Lake RV Park. One positive mention is that the "laundry room is a very good size." However, this amenity is negatively impacted by the reviewer's observation that it "constantly smells like dog feces," raising concerns about its cleanliness and maintenance.
One reviewer noted that the "spots are advertised as large enough to park two vehicles" but cautioned that "management picks and chooses which sites are actually large enough for this parking situation." This inconsistency in advertised versus actual site size for parking is an important point for potential guests with multiple vehicles to consider.
The second reviewer found the "sites were adequate size" and that the "pull thru site we stayed in had plenty of room for our tow vehicle," offering a more positive perspective on site dimensions, at least for their specific site type. They also noted that the "interior roads seemed to be somewhat tight to maneuver corners with our 37' class A motorhome, but we managed," indicating that while navigable, larger RVs might face some challenges within the park.
A significant point of concern is the accessibility of management. One reviewer stated, "I haven’t seen management a single time and it seems that they are never in the office." This lack of visible and accessible management could be problematic for residents needing assistance or to address issues.
Based on the general nature of RV parks, Hidden Lake RV Park likely offers standard services such as:
- RV Sites with Hookups: These typically include electricity, water, and sewer connections. The reviews do not explicitly confirm these, but they are implied by the nature of an RV park.
- Waste Disposal: Facilities for disposing of RV waste would be expected.
However, information on other potential amenities like restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi, or recreational areas (beyond the non-existent walking path and dilapidated picnic tables) is not provided in the reviews.
Features and Unique Aspects: The most unique feature of Hidden Lake RV Park appears to be its lake view, which is positively mentioned by one reviewer. The presence of lake wildlife (geese, ducks, turtles) could also be considered a unique natural aspect that some guests might appreciate.
The park's quiet atmosphere, as noted by one reviewer, could be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful environment. The perceived good price and location, mentioned by another reviewer, might also be considered features, although "location" is subjective and its advantages are not detailed.
However, the issues with the non-existent walking path, dilapidated infrastructure (fences, picnic tables), mosquito problem, burrs in the grass, inconsistent parking availability at sites, and the smelly laundry room detract from the park's potential features.
The observation that the park had "a lot of longer term rv's" suggests that it may cater to both transient and longer-stay guests, potentially fostering a sense of community among longer-term residents while still accommodating short-term visitors.
Promotional Information: The provided information does not contain any explicit promotional offers or pricing details for Hidden Lake RV Park. One reviewer mentioned that it was "great for the price," suggesting that the cost might be competitive. However, specific rates for daily, weekly, or monthly stays, or any seasonal discounts or special packages, are not provided in the reviews.
Local users interested in the current rates and any promotions should contact Hidden Lake RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers. Inquiring about site availability, especially for those with specific parking needs or larger RVs, would also be advisable given the comments in the reviews.
Objective Summary: Hidden Lake RV Park in Beaumont, Texas, offers a location with a potentially beautiful lake view and a quiet atmosphere, which were appreciated by at least one reviewer. The presence of lake wildlife adds to the natural setting. However, the park also has notable drawbacks, including a non-existent advertised walking path, dilapidated fences and picnic tables, a significant mosquito problem, burrs in the grass, inconsistent parking availability at sites, and a laundry room reported to smell like dog feces. Additionally, management appears to be infrequently present in the office. While one reviewer found it to be a good value for the price and enjoyed their stay, potential guests should weigh these positives against the reported negatives. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should contact Hidden Lake RV Park directly to inquire about current rates, site availability, and to get clarification on the services and amenities offered, as well as the management's presence and responsiveness.
For local residents of Beaumont looking for an RV park, Hidden Lake RV Park offers a lakeside setting that might be appealing. However, it is crucial to be aware of the reported maintenance issues and the potential challenges with mosquitoes and ground conditions. If a quiet environment and a lake view are priorities, and if the price is indeed competitive, it might still be a viable option for some, especially for shorter stays. However, prospective guests should conduct their own due diligence by contacting the park and potentially visiting the premises to assess whether it meets their individual needs and expectations.

Hidden Lake RV Park Reviews
My Husband and I stayed here for about a month with our baby and doodle. Lake view is beautiful! My dog and baby thoroughly enjoyed watching the goose, ducks and turtles. There is a walking path advertised around the lake that simply does not exist. Fences on the property are dilapidated and rotting. Several of the picnic tables at sites are rotting, falling apart and unusable. Mosquitoes are horrible and untreated. Burrs are all in the grass which makes walking barefoot impossible. Spots are advertised as large enough to park two vehicles- beware, management picks and chooses which sites are actually large enough for this parking situation. Laundry room is a very good size but constantly smells like dog feces. I haven’t seen management a single time and it seems that they are never in the office. Overall, great for the price and location. We did enjoy our time here.
May 02, 2025 · Anna GerstenbergOk for a quick one night stay. The park had a lot of longer term rv's, but it was well taken care of. Sites were adequate size. The pull thru site we stayed in had plenty of room for our tow vehicle. Interior roads seemed to be somewhat tight to maneuver corners with our 37' class A motorhome, but we managed. Very quiet park.
Mar 30, 2025 · KJPI have my RV parked here, and the staff was very helpful and kind. This is a great and safe place, very good location. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.
Jan 08, 2025 · Albert AnayaWe had a pleasant stay! Read a review about the trains being loud so we were a little concerned. During our weeks stay we only heard them a few times during the day, never woke us up at night. The ladies in the office were helpful and friendly. We were relocated to a site along the lake which was much appreciated. My husband enjoyed some fishing and caught a few bass. It was a nice week!
Mar 19, 2024 · Kristine MarieBooked a Rv space for one night through website. It turned out we booked it through a third party called Rover Pass. Tried to cancel booking two weeks in advance I was told there is no refund. Been traveling for a year now and plans change and I had to cancel reservations before every other place has given some sort of refund. Never got any response from Rover Pass and they never returned my calls. Terrible customer service from the RV Park and Rover Pass if that is a real company? Going to complain to the BBB?
