Hidden Ridge RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" offering a serene and private escape? Look no further than Hidden Ridge RV Park, nestled in the heart of Mt Olive, Mississippi. While a relatively new addition to the local camping scene, having been established just a year ago, Hidden Ridge RV Park has already garnered praise for its peaceful atmosphere and attentive management. If you're a local RV enthusiast seeking a quiet retreat, Hidden Ridge provides a unique opportunity to unwind amidst nature's beauty.
Located at 5413 US 49, Mt Olive, MS 39119, USA, Hidden Ridge RV Park offers easy access while maintaining a sense of seclusion. You can reach them at (601) 716-6360 or +1 601-716-6360 for inquiries and reservations. Situated just off Highway 49, the park surprisingly minimizes traffic noise, allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in the tranquility of the surrounding environment. As one visitor noted, you can "barely hear the (hwy 49) traffic," a testament to the park's peaceful setting.
The environment at Hidden Ridge RV Park is a key highlight. Unlike sprawling, commercial RV parks, Hidden Ridge offers a more intimate experience with only eight easily accessible back-in slips. These slips are described as being in a "clearing of virgin timber," emphasizing the natural and wooded surroundings. This setting provides good breezes and a sense of being truly within the woods, rather than just having the woods nearby. The absence of trees or obstacles around the slips ensures ease of maneuvering for RVs of various sizes.
In terms of services, Hidden Ridge RV Park focuses on the essentials for a comfortable stay. Each of the eight slips is equipped with easily accessible water, power (W/P), and sewer (S) hookups. The power supply includes 50A, 30A, 20A, and 120 outlets at each hookup, which appear to be newly installed and well-maintained. Guests have reported clean water with good pressure, and a reliable power supply without spikes or dips. This ensures that your "house on wheels" has all the necessary utilities for a pleasant stay.
The features of Hidden Ridge RV Park contribute to its unique appeal. The small number of slips fosters a sense of exclusivity and privacy, making it feel like a "remote and private" hideaway. The overall atmosphere is consistently described as "quiet" and "peaceful," making it an ideal destination for adults seeking solitude and relaxation. One reviewer explicitly mentioned that "kids will probably get bored," suggesting that the park caters more to adults desiring a tranquil environment.
The management at Hidden Ridge RV Park has been praised for their friendly, attentive, and personable approach, embodying "southern hospitality." Check-in and check-out are reported to be a breeze, indicating a smooth and efficient process. Furthermore, Hidden Ridge RV Park is dog-friendly, welcoming your furry companions to enjoy the peaceful surroundings with you.
While Hidden Ridge RV Park excels in providing a quiet and natural setting with essential utilities, it's important to note some of the amenities that are currently not available. According to visitor feedback, the park does not have a laundry room or showers for guests who might require them. Additionally, there is no designated trash collection point that was readily apparent to at least one visitor. One guest also expressed a desire for additional recreational facilities such as picnic tables, a fire pit, and hiking trails. Currently, the focus is more on providing a peaceful and well-maintained base for RVers to relax and enjoy the natural environment.
Despite these limitations, the overwhelmingly positive feedback highlights the value proposition of Hidden Ridge RV Park. The feeling of being in the woods with minimal highway noise, the exclusivity of the small number of slips, and the clean and reliable utilities contribute to a worthwhile experience. As one reviewer succinctly put it, "Less was DEFINITELY more, in this case." The park offers a refreshing alternative to larger, more amenity-filled RV parks, prioritizing peace, quiet, and a connection with nature.
For local RV owners seeking a short getaway or a longer respite from the hustle and bustle, Hidden Ridge RV Park presents an attractive option. Its location in Mt Olive, Mississippi, makes it easily accessible for residents in the surrounding areas looking for "RV parks near me." The park's strengths lie in its tranquil environment, well-maintained essential services, and the genuine hospitality of its management. While it may not offer an extensive list of amenities, its focus on providing a peaceful and private experience in a natural setting is what sets it apart.
Consider Hidden Ridge RV Park for your next RV adventure when you're looking for a quiet and secluded spot to unwind. Hidden Ridge RV Park Reviews
Real nice owner, this Campsite has been here for a year. You can barely hear the (hwy 49) traffic. I wish it had picnic tables, fire pit, hiking. Something to do other than sit inside our house on wheels. $40 nightly.
Jan 01, 2024 · Jim PopeThe Short Version:Small. Feels remote and private. Quiet. Clean. Peaceful. Value: worth it. Less was DEFINITELY more, in this case.Summary:Blew off a friend in Arkansas to stay longer. Wish I could have stayed longer than I did. It is an amazing hideaway for adults who desire peace and solitude; kids will probably get bored so it might be best to leave them at home.Amenities:- 8 easily accessible back-in slips. No trees or obstacles.- Easily accessible W/P/S.- In a clearing of virgin timber and gets good breezes.Pro:- see review, below.Con:- no laundry room.- no showers (for those that would need it)- no trash collection point (that I saw.)The Review:Being almost directly off the highway next to a very small and rustic town, I didn't expect much in amenities or quality. I was both right and wrong, but not in the ways I originally thought.1. Surrounded by woods, there is *very* little highway noise. It isn't a massive clear-cut parking lot of a park - you're in the woods versus the woods merely being "accessible".2. With only eight slips, it feels exclusive.3. The water was clean and had plenty of pressure. Ground-level spigots were easily accessible and turned freely.4. The power was clean - no spikes or dips on a 50A hookup.5. 50a/30a/20a/ and 120 outlets available at each hookup. Looked newly installed and no bugs/spiders/webs/debris hiding behind the outlet door.5. Dog friendly: If my dog can't enjoy or isn't welcome, neither can I.6. The grounds/grass were well maintained but it doesn't feel industrialized - it keeps a very natural feel and appearance.7. Check-in/out was a breeze. Management was friendly, attentive, and personable in very genuine ways; gotta love southern hospitality.I like quiet spots with few people and no kids. There's a good thing happening at HRRVP and I hope my path takes me back through here again.
