Highland Village Introduce
Searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a well-located residential option in Pompano Beach, Florida? Highland Village, situated at 4900 NE 2nd Ave, Pompano Beach, FL 33064, USA, presents a mixed picture based on recent resident feedback. You can reach them for inquiries at (954) 421-3900 or +1 954-421-3900.
One resident expressed positive feelings about the area surrounding Highland Village, noting its quiet neighborhood and the abundance of nearby attractions and activities. The convenience of public transportation being "around the corner" was also highlighted as a significant advantage. This suggests that Highland Village benefits from a location that offers accessibility and a desirable lifestyle outside the immediate confines of the park.
However, another, more detailed review paints a concerning picture regarding the management and the enforcement of community rules within Highland Village. This resident strongly advises others to "Avoid this place" due to issues that have persisted despite promises from a new manager.
According to this review, the new manager made assurances about addressing parking problems, specifically cars parked in the roads and yards. The manager reportedly promised regular walk-throughs and that tow trucks would be used to remove violating vehicles. Additionally, a rule against overnight parking at the clubhouse was supposedly implemented. However, the resident states that "3-4 months later it’s the same issue," with cars still obstructing roadways to the extent that drivers have to "dodge right or left to drive through the roads." This indicates a significant lack of enforcement of stated community rules and a potential safety and convenience issue for residents.
The reviewer also expresses frustration with the management's apparent priorities, stating, "All they care about is getting the rent through their new portal." This suggests a perceived disconnect between management's focus on rent collection and their commitment to addressing other community concerns raised by residents. The implementation of a new online payment portal seems to have created difficulties for some residents, with the reviewer mentioning, "Obviously they have many folks with no bank accounts or they got robbed because they no longer accept cash." While the reviewer acknowledges they wouldn't pay in cash, they question the necessity of receiving payment slips in their mailbox almost monthly, raising concerns about the legality of using mailboxes without proper postage.
Furthermore, the resident recounts threats made by the manager regarding overgrown trees and garbage on lots. Ironically, the reviewer points out that their neighbors' trees and bushes are "so over grown that you can’t even walk on that side," again indicating a lack of consistent enforcement of community standards. The reviewer also mentions damage caused by the park's lawn crew to the skirting of their "brand new trailer," stating that "Nobody cares here." This incident, coupled with the lack of action on parking and overgrown vegetation, paints a picture of a community where resident concerns and property maintenance are not adequately addressed.
The concluding statement from this dissatisfied resident is stark: "If I could move I would so fast!" This strong sentiment underscores the severity of the issues experienced within Highland Village, at least from this individual's perspective.
Considering the "RV parks near me" category, Highland Village, while described as a mobile home park, might offer long-term rental options for RVs on designated lots. The convenient location and access to amenities outside the park, as mentioned by the positive review, could be attractive to those seeking an extended stay in Pompano Beach. However, the significant concerns raised by another resident regarding management's lack of enforcement of rules, parking problems, and maintenance issues are critical factors that potential RV residents should carefully consider.
The discrepancy between the two reviews highlights the importance of thorough investigation for anyone considering Highland Village. While the location appears to be a strong point, the internal management and living conditions seem to be areas of significant concern for at least one resident.
Promotional information for Highland Village might focus on its convenient location in Pompano Beach, with easy access to local attractions, public transportation, and a quiet surrounding neighborhood. However, in providing an objective overview, it is essential to acknowledge the serious allegations of mismanagement, lack of rule enforcement, and maintenance neglect raised by a resident. These issues could significantly impact the quality of life within the community.
To gain a balanced understanding of Highland Village, prospective residents should contact the management directly to inquire about their policies on parking, community maintenance, and rent payment. It would be prudent to ask specifically how the management addresses parking violations and ensures that community standards for property upkeep are maintained. Inquiring about the new online rent payment system and whether alternative payment methods are available might also be beneficial.
Visiting Highland Village would be crucial for potential residents to assess the current conditions firsthand. Observing the parking situation, the upkeep of individual lots and common areas, and the overall environment of the community would provide valuable insights. If possible, speaking with current residents (beyond those who have posted online reviews) could offer additional perspectives on the management and living conditions.
In conclusion, Highland Village in Pompano Beach, FL, offers a potentially attractive location with convenient access to surrounding amenities and public transportation. However, serious concerns have been raised by a resident regarding the management's lack of enforcement of community rules, persistent parking problems, and inadequate attention to property maintenance. Individuals searching for "RV parks near me" or long-term residential options should carefully weigh the positive aspects of the location against the significant negative feedback regarding management and community upkeep before making a decision. Thorough due diligence, including direct communication with management and a site visit, is strongly recommended.

I like the area. The neighborhood is quiet, and there's a lot of stuff to do around the area. Public transportation is around the corner as well.
Apr 15, 2025 · Alejandro UbillaAvoid this place. New manager came in and made all these promises about having people not park in the roads and yards. They supposedly do walk throughs and she promised in numerous emails that the tow trucks will be coming to tow cars and also there is no overnight parking at the clubhouse. 3-4 months later it’s the same issue. Cars everywhere so much that you have to dodge right or left to drive through the roads. All they care about is getting the rent through their new portal. Obviously they have many folks with no bank accounts or they got robbed because they no longer accept cash, not that I would do this, but do not I need a slip in my mailbox just about every month? I hope you know that it’s illegal to use the mailbox without it being stamped. I think I’ll report this to the usps next time it happens. Finally, she also made threats of over grown trees and garbage on the lots. Yet my neighbors trees and bushes are so over grown that you can’t even walk on that side. Plus my brand new trailer their lawn crew made holes in the skirting while trimming. Nobody cares here. If I could move I would so fast!
Jan 28, 2023 · Levaughn BeardHighland Village mobile home community is the best. Denice in the office was polite and very helpful in assisting me with leading me in the right direction on an issue involving my sister who has been hospitalized thank you Denice
Nov 05, 2024 · Theresa GiovannucciOwnership is horrible. They towed a car that has been registered to the place for 20 years. Because of some guest pass issue? There is no quest pass and was park in a parking spot. You can never reach anyone in the office. Lot rent goes up all the time.
Aug 20, 2022 · David KyrosNot the best place to live. Ive lived here for a few years now and I have not been pleased. Manager harasses people, The pool is only opened on weekdays which is ridiculous because people work and kids go to school on weekends we would like to enjoy a day at the pool but we can't do that, so forget being able to use a pool. There are two gates on the side easier to get in and out for those who live in the back and manager refuses to open which is completely unfair to those who go to the high school right there and live all the way in the back which most kids in this neighborhood do. They all have to walk extra just to get to school because the gates are closed. I dont recommend this place.
