Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel Introduce
Are you searching for a conveniently located RV park in the Las Vegas area that caters to both short-term visitors and long-term residents? Consider Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel, situated at two addresses on North Las Vegas Boulevard: 3640 and 3650 Las Vegas Blvd N, Las Vegas, NV 89115, USA. This RV park offers full hookups and a range of amenities, making it a potential option for those exploring Las Vegas in their recreational vehicles.
Based on recent customer reviews, Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel provides a generally positive experience for its guests. For those planning an extended stay, it's important to be aware of the initial financial requirements. One reviewer mentioned paying over $900 for the first month, highlighting the need to be prepared with a significant amount of cash upon arrival. They also noted a monthly rate of "$655" after the initial period, in addition to the cost of electricity. Paying with cash or check may help avoid extra fees, which is a useful tip for budget-conscious travelers.
In terms of facilities, Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel boasts a "nice shower house," although one guest reported that the hot water on the ladies' side was not consistently satisfactory. The park also features a "large laundry room" and a "fitness center," although one short-term visitor did not have the opportunity to utilize these amenities. These facilities can be particularly valuable for longer stays, offering convenience and comfort for residents.
For pet owners, Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel is described as "dog friendly" and offers "4 small dog runs." However, one reviewer with larger dogs found these areas to be quite small, suggesting they might be more suitable for very small breeds rather than dogs needing ample space to run. Fortunately, there is a park located across the street, providing an alternative space for exercising larger dogs.
When it comes to departure, one guest shared an experience regarding their deposit and prorated fees. While they received part of their deposit back upon checking out a week earlier than planned due to work commitments, they were not refunded for the unused days. This lack of prorated refund for early departure due to circumstances beyond their control was noted as a point of dissatisfaction. It's advisable for potential guests, especially those with uncertain departure dates, to inquire about the park's policy on refunds for early departures.
The staff at Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel are generally described as "friendly." However, one short-term visitor felt that the staff was "a little overbearing" towards short-term guests, while also observing that park rules seemed to be applied inconsistently, with long-term residents seemingly not held to the same standards. This perception of differential treatment could be a concern for some visitors, highlighting the importance of clear and consistent rule enforcement for all residents.
On a more positive note, another reviewer "definitely recommend" Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel for both short and long-term stays. They specifically praised the "full hookups," "great laundry facility," "pool," and "clean showers/restroom." This reviewer also echoed the sentiment that the "office staff and maintenance/grounds keepers are very friendly," and noted that the "long-term residents" are also welcoming. The presence of a "saloon/restaurant on site" is also highlighted as a significant convenience and amenity, offering an on-site option for dining and socializing.
Considering the available reviews, Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel offers a range of amenities suitable for both short and long-term RV stays in Las Vegas. These include full hookups, a shower house, a laundry room, a fitness center, and a pool. The park is pet-friendly with designated dog runs, although these may be better suited for smaller dogs. The staff is generally perceived as friendly, although there are mentions of potential inconsistencies in rule enforcement and concerns about refunds for early departures.
The presence of a saloon/restaurant on-site adds a unique feature that enhances convenience and social opportunities within the park. The welcoming nature of long-term residents, as reported by one reviewer, can also contribute to a positive community atmosphere. However, potential guests should be prepared for the initial financial outlay for longer stays and should clarify the park's policies regarding deposits and refunds for early departures.

Hitchin' Post RV Park & Motel Reviews
All in all our stay was good. Be prepared with a wad of cash to get a space. We paid over $900 for the first month. Cash or check saves you extra fees too. "$655" a month after plus electric. It does have a nice shower house, even though the hot water was not great on the ladies side. It has a large laundry room and fitness center, which we didn't get a chance to use. The dog areas are tiny. Maybe ok for very small dogs, but not for dogs needing room to run. There is a park across the street we were able to exercise my dog. When checking out my husband got part of the deposit back, but no prorated fees for having to leave a week early. We don't get to choose when we leave a park, work dictates that so not getting the remaining days refund is a strike. Would have given 5 stars .The staff was friendly, but a little overbearing on short timers. Rules didn't apparently apply to anyone that stays there long term.
Mar 28, 2025 · Cindy Wortman-PhillipsDefinitely recommend for short and long-term stays. Full hookups, great laundry facility, pool, clean showers/restroom. The office staff and maintenance/grounds keepers are very friendly, and so are the long-term residents. Dog friendly with 4 small dog runs. There is also a saloon/restaurant on site.
Apr 02, 2025 · Denise MessengerAbsolutely no complaints. We hadn't been here before, and ended up staying a whole month. Good people, food is really good in the restaurant & pub.Loved the gated community, never worried about stuff being stolen or any shady neighbors, ended up going to Bakersfield for a few days, everything was as we left it. 👍There's a nice laundry mat, pool but unfortunately we never tried the pool.Great place to stay if you enjoy aircraft, there's a lot of aircraft flying out of that military airport such as F-16, F-35, A-10 Warthogs, C-130, Thunderbirds, and even what looked like some sort of high altitude bombers...great entertainment, but can be noisy during the day, night time was quiet.
Dec 18, 2024 · George SchmidtOur main concern is we were not warned about the dozens of jets taking off from the air force base 2 miles away. After Burners full throttle shaking the camper morning and night. Our pets were terrified! The phone service is sketchy at best. The WIFI is basically non-existent.
