Homestead Mobile Home Park Introduce
For individuals in the Columbus, Indiana area searching for "rv parks near me," Homestead Mobile Home Park, situated at 2667 Milmar Ct, Columbus, IN 47203, USA, presents a residential community primarily designed for mobile homes that might also accommodate recreational vehicles for extended stays. As the availability and terms for RV living in mobile home parks can vary, it's crucial for prospective RV residents to consider the available feedback and inquire directly about their specific needs. The provided reviews offer a mixed perspective on the park, highlighting both positive and potentially concerning aspects.
One reviewer, who does not live in the park but visits, offers some general observations. They note that Homestead Mobile Home Park "seems pretty clean every time I come here" and that "most people seem respectful to each other." Additionally, they mention that the park is "usually pretty quiet." These are positive indicators for potential residents, suggesting that the community maintains a level of cleanliness and a respectful, peaceful atmosphere. For those seeking a quiet and orderly environment for long-term RV living, these aspects could be appealing.
However, the same reviewer also recounts a concerning anecdote related to park management. They describe a situation where a homeowner was allegedly denied permission to install a window air conditioning unit as a temporary solution when their central AC was broken and they could not afford an immediate $5000 replacement, particularly affecting young children in the home. The reviewer interprets this as the park owners prioritizing the "presentation of the property" over the "welfare of the children that live there." This account raises questions about the flexibility and compassion of the park's management in addressing residents' needs, especially during challenging circumstances. Potential RV residents should inquire about the park's policies on temporary fixes and accommodations for essential needs.
In contrast, another reviewer, whose family has rented a lot in the park for over 40 years, shares a largely positive experience. They describe the management as "so patient and understanding" and "very helpful with many situations," particularly in allowing time for the relocation of their mobile home. This long-term resident also mentions "a lot of rules but nice neighborhood" and favorably compares it to neighboring communities. This perspective suggests that while the park may have a structured environment with rules, it fosters a positive neighborhood feel and provides supportive management for long-term residents. For those considering an extended RV stay, the stability and helpfulness described by this reviewer could be reassuring.
Considering these mixed reviews in the context of someone searching for "rv parks near me," it is important to weigh the reported cleanliness and quietness against the potential inflexibility in management policies and the presence of "a lot of rules." The long-term resident's positive experience suggests that these rules may contribute to a stable and nice neighborhood, but the anecdote about the air conditioning unit indicates a potential lack of understanding in specific situations.
The reviews provide limited information about the specific environment, services, and features of Homestead Mobile Home Park relevant to RVs. While cleanliness and a quiet atmosphere are mentioned, details about landscaping, communal areas, or the overall aesthetic appeal are lacking. Similarly, there is no specific mention of amenities typically found in RV parks, such as hookups for electricity, water, and sewer, laundry facilities, restrooms, showers, or recreational areas.
For individuals considering living in their RV at Homestead Mobile Home Park, it is essential to ascertain what services and features are available to RV residents. Mobile home parks may or may not have comprehensive infrastructure for RVs. Therefore, potential residents must inquire about the availability and functionality of essential services like utility hookups. Understanding the infrastructure in place for RVs will be a key factor in determining the suitability of this location for long-term RV living.
As no promotional information is included in the provided reviews, there is no basis to discuss any special offers or unique features being promoted by Homestead Mobile Home Park. To obtain comprehensive and up-to-date information about the park, including the availability and cost of RV spaces, the services and amenities offered, and the specific rules and regulations for RV residents, it is essential to contact the management directly using the provided phone number, (812) 372-5544 or the mobile number +1 812-372-5544.
In conclusion, Homestead Mobile Home Park near Columbus, Indiana, presents a complex picture for those seeking "rv parks near me." The park is described as clean and quiet, with a generally respectful community and long-term residents reporting helpful management. However, concerns are raised about potentially inflexible rules and a perceived prioritization of property presentation over resident welfare in specific situations. Prospective RV residents should contact the management directly to inquire about the availability of RV spaces, the associated costs and policies, the specific amenities offered to RV residents, and to gain a clearer understanding of the park's rules and community environment. Weighing the positive reports of cleanliness and community against the potential concerns about management policies will be crucial in determining if Homestead Mobile Home Park is a suitable option for long-term RV living in the Columbus area.

Homestead Mobile Home Park Reviews
I don't live here, and don't know much about the owner's, or how much they charge. It seems pretty clean every time I come here, and most people seem respectful to each other. It's usually pretty quiet. One owner told me they don't allow home owners to install window air conditioning?! Seems pretty unreasonable. Considering, their AC unit was broken at the time and they had young kids, and couldn't afford to pay five thousand dollars to replace it. They needed a temporary solution, but the "office" told them they aren't allowed to have window units to cool their home.I told them to come move down to Seymour where i Iive and would be no problem. Seems the park owners don't care about the welfare of the children that live there. They only care about the presentation of the property. Very sad. I hope they find a solution
Aug 15, 2023 · Bill B.My family has rented a lot from them for 40+ years. We finally just brought this to an end, as I bought a home elsewhere. They have been so patient and understanding with me. Very helpful with many situations, and allowing me time to get my mobile home relocated. A lot of rules but nice neighborhood. Can't say the same for neighboring communities.
Jan 28, 2020 · Hyperactive PickerIt seems to be fine. I don't know much about it. Very nice manger and maintenance man. Not 5 stars because I don't know anything about it.
Jan 11, 2024 · Larryjust a little piece of heaven.. the lawn is kept like a golf course.. it's very clean well maintained.. there's a large park and play area that is well kept and well used by all the children in this area.. there's no clutter or trash anywhere..the lot rent is cheaper than any other park around water sewer and trash are all included in the lot rent..so after that we only pay one utilitie.. that makes things easy all the way around.. it's a peaceful place for people of all age's...
May 30, 2019 · Scott EglenThere are some nice families here, cute little swing sets in the middle fun for kids. You can normally hear sirens later at night though. Don't know what for.
